GravitySucks

If you have a teenage son that is getting his driver's license, tell the insurance company that he self-identifies as a girl and demand the cheaper female rates.

Yes! Everyone who can should. It will overwhelm them (insurance companies) and then they'll complain to politicians and then they'll put pressure on locals to stop because it's interferring with commerce. They hate when that happens! ;D

Probably. It's less stressful to be allowed to get away with hypocrisy and irrationality because of your gender so it makes sense. ;)

I pondered this for years and apparently many others have also. Not sure if this is a nationwide phenomena or what. "Answers" run the gamut from consolidation, real estate investment, the growth of the population and building, that contrary to thought the profit on mattresses is VERY good,  to more conspiratorial like cartel money laundering, bedbug issues,  or marketing making you think you need a new mattress more often than you do.

Even at six tmes that much, they are still cheesy.  At the rate beds are no good, I'd rather just replace cheap ones every couple years.  It's too bad mattress fabric is polyester instead of cotton canvas. What do people think of latex?  I've had good luck with varieties of foam mattresses.

Vanilla Coke is the best kind of Coke, but Vanilla Pepsi is awful.

Foam breaks down in a short time, solid latex is the way to go. I got one years ago at a mattress clearance place in Santa Cruz when I lived there. They're super heavy and a beast to move so sold it to a friend for $100 bucks when I combined households with the ex. I still regret selling it and for so cheap. After much research found Ikea had the best deal at about 1k, solid natural/ part synthetic latex. It's guaranteed for 10 years but it'll probably last 20.

Are they hot as memory foam mattresses and toppers are?

Not hot at all. I've heard the same about memory foam mattresses and toppers which for me is reason enough not to get one. Another bad thing about foam is they offer little to no support even when brand new. Besides support, another great feature about latex is its hypoallergenic. Dust mites can't survive on it.

I guess we gotta let go of fast then. I hate to see it go but it's clearly the problem because good and cheap can't be. :D

Agreed.  I heard Coke has a vanilla base anyhow, while Pepsi is said to have a fruity base.

I missed it since I was out at lake (not on lake because too cold) but news said apparently we had something called "Graupel" here?  A term I actually never have heard of? Something between sleet, snow, and hail; a "soft hail."  Apparently caused by a "winter storm" meeting more of a "spring storm" according to news weather chick. I guess it is a thing.

“Pig” best describes her. And it’s not about her average appearance. Like most female “comedians” these days,  it’s about being loud, obnoxious, “shocking” disgusting, and liberal. She’s a carbon copy of Samantha Bee. And Chelsea Handler. And there are others who I don’t feel like finding their names. None are funny. None are clever or original.

My foams have always held up, but they were 4" thick and picked up at actual foam shops.
I did love a covered latex foam mattress I once got for free, which had belonged to an RV.  I kept it until the covering wore very thin.  I, too, wish I still had it, but I chose to keep a lighter, less dense pad instead.  Less heavy.
