For whatever reason being drunk helps the body withstand amazing things that would otherwise cause serious injury.

True.  I wonder if he was a druggie looking to pawn something for a heroin hit.  Seattle is real big on  supporting the needs of heroin injectors, including bringing them back to life so they can thieve and rob again to get their fix.

Odd policies but yeah. That stuff also allows super human wrecks and needles in parks, playgrounds, etc. Other stuff like angel dust n meth allows super human strength and nutsos. And cops get a bad rap dealing with the freak outs.
