Woah Shay, didn't know this about you. Thanks for doing all the racisms and rapes.

You're welcome.  It has been a busy time of year.  I'm not sure what to expect with the holiday's coming.  My calendar is full.  Might need some help.

While I and many others certainly do appreciate a break in the relentless cascade of low energy posts that rely solely on YouTube embeds to make their case, it still yet must be stated for the Illiterati--pictures are not bumper music.

I disqualify out of love.
Tough love.

Hey man, I'm sorry but I currently have only one thing on my mind.

Raping cows is only bad only if white people do it? Or are white people just better at raping cows than everyone else? Mixed feelings here.

I am a proud white man and all of my past relations with cows have been consensual.  I can prove it.  Sheila nuzzled me after I milked her.  She was a nice cow.  Probably dead now.  It was along time ago.

Ha!  You should have been a little faster on the draw, Mr. Rogers. ;)  I just purchased a ticket to see "Halloween 2018" this week, then saw your post.  Oh, well, I got a discount ticket, so no big loss.  It's not like I'm going to be busy posting on BG then, instead.  I'll post my take after seeing it.

I look forward to your thoughts on it.  I saw that Chine liked it.  I still have mixed feelings and stand by my review.  We are all critics!  ;D   In fact, I was invited to see it again next week, and I just may leave the theater with a different view.

I initially posted this in the Horror thread:

I saw the new Halloween Friday night.  When I first heard this movie was being made as a sequel to the original I was excited.  I tempered my expectations going into this one but still was eager, hoping for a reinvention of the classic since we are supposed to disregard all other sequels.   I must say that I was somewhat disappointed overall.  Most of the cast was awful.  Laurie Strode was a little over the top, IMO.  It was cool seeing a glimpse of Michael Myers' face (without the mask) portrayed by the original actor.  Grey hair and some wrinkles.  However being 40 years older didn't prevent him from being an killing machine with still impressive strength.

This movie should've been 20 minutes longer so they could fill in more of a family dynamic between Laurie and her daughter and granddaughter.  In addition to Michael's 40 years in captivity.  These story lines just seemed to brief and generic.  There were segments of the original 'part two' that were copied and adapted, but to me not as they should've been.  There also was a big WTF moment that I'm still trying to process.  We waited for the credits to end because most of the movies now put out post-credit scenes so we expected some kind of teaser.  Well, there was something at the end but I don't want to spoil it.

This movie was underwhelming.  If it only had some more meat on it's bones so to speak.  I'll be generous and give it 3 of 5 stars.

Not what I wanted to hear, or read. My wife wants to go to this thing on Wednesday night. :-\ Think I'd rather take a belt sander to my undercarriage followed by a salt bath followed by being smothered in honey and thrown into a huge anthill.

LOL!!!  No no. Don't go to that length to avoid it.  ;D  Enjoy the night out with wifey.  :)  Tell me what you both thought of it.  Maybe it's just me.  :-\  You and/or she may love it.   ;)

Cheers man!   8)

I forgot all about Amy now im looking at her website and seen she was on deep talk radio. I remember the owner of deep talk radio posting here making excuses for her not doing a show and promising of her return. Did she ever come back for even one show or has she been gone for like 2 years straight now?

She's busy...

In her free time (what little she has between studies and radio) Amy focuses on archival curation and preservation of historic literature, also volunteering her time to support STEM initiatives in education. She’s an avid horror and B-movie genre film fan, analog synth nerd, artist, silversmith, tech-head, hobby mechanic, long-time gamer, and enjoys restoring (as well as playing) coin-operated arcade machines. She resides on the edge of the Southwest with her family and three hell-hounds.

"studies"  heh heh

George Knapp

GUESTS:
David Paulides, Lynn Vincent, Sara Vladic

First Half: After a nine-year hiatus from his last Bigfoot book, David Paulides has returned to the Sasquatch arena with new revelations of news articles dating back to 1680 describing bipeds looking like Bigfoot, and giant skeletons located in mounds and graves. Paulides joins George Knapp to discuss how descriptions of the wild men and skeletons of giants were found in the same time frame and how both are related.

Second Half: Just after midnight on July 30, 1945, days after delivering the components of the atomic bomb from California to the Pacific Islands in the most highly classified naval mission of the war, USS Indianapolis was sailing alone in the center of the Philippine Sea when she was struck by two Japanese torpedoes. The ship was instantly transformed into a fiery cauldron and sunk within minutes. Authors Lynn Vincent and Sara Vladic will discuss how 300 men went down with the ship but nearly 900 made it into the water alive and for the next five nights and four days, almost three hundred miles from the nearest land, the men battled injuries, sharks, dehydration, insanity, and eventually each other.

Yeah, Will Smith sucks, in general.  His "Wild, Wild West" was a mess, too.

Ha!  Wild, Wild West was simply awful.

Shay, one day you’ll realize that if you’re alive and living in a society almost every aspect of your life IS political. Just accept and embrace that then y’all can stop having this protracted hissy fit over it.  ;)

Oh dear doctor MD squared.  I personally don't have hissy fits, and quite frankly there are times where I even question if I am truly alive let alone living.  That darn existentialism.  I do get what you're saying though.  ;)  I've studied your habits.  ;D  Anyway, I figured at least you would think my comment of Hostel being a training film was slightly humorous...especially since I was essentially agreeing with you.   ::)  :D

Oh and I added Race with the Devil to my queue.  :)

I'd add Vincent Price's "Last Man on Earth," too.  Spaghetti horror, but Price does his usual masterful job and the movie has the proper creepy atmosphere.

"Morgan! Come out, Morgan!"

It's in my NetFlix DVD queue!  Yes it is.  Fuck streaming.  The only thing I stream is piss.  Sorry.  I digress.  Vincent Price is the man.  From what I've heard and read this is the version closest to the book.  (no I'm not that guy)  The Will Smith version sucked.  The Omega Man was cool.  I don't know why I didn't watch this earlier.

Great list! I'm going a bit obscure this October, though I am going to the local kinoplex to watch The Fog in 4k!  Made a October 2018 watch thread here:

Thanks!  Not sure what the hell a kinoplex is and I'm not Googling it now.  ;D  Regardless, The Fog was a good one and I need to see that again.  I always had the feels for Adrienne Barbeau.  I could fap to her.

I thought the movie Race With The Devil was pretty scary..especially since it’s turned out to be more reflective of the truth than not.  ;)

Also, and I know this will get critiqued from the right but I thought Hostel was a genuinely scary movie...again, especially since we now know that many of the leftist elites seem to get their kicks that way.  :o

Hmmm...race With the Devil.  I'll check it out.  8)   C'mon MD...let's take a break from the politics and current social climate when it comes to these movies.  These are training films for some people man!  ;)  Plus, to me, Hostel did make you realize what could be (is) out there.  And I believe that shit is.  Wasn't too scary to me though.

Let's reboot this and get some energy.   8)

In no particular order:

The Exorcist
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Day of the Dead
House of a 1000 Corpses
Devil's Rejects
Demons
Phantasm
Halloween
Salem's Lot
Prince of Darkness
The Thing
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Friday the 13th
Hellraiser
The Hills Have Eyes
Event Horizon
Last House on the Left

Halloween is my all time favorite horror movie.  The Exorcist is #2.  I love the horror genre in general and it's hard to delineate my reasons why I hold certain movies in a high regard.  I have a great fondness for the old-time movies too, such as Frankenstein, Dracula, et al.

I have no idea.  Maybe some weird misguided adoration like those youngsters here who wear the communist star on their hats or Che Guevara on the shirts.

I needed this to save my sanity.  I hope the pussy hat wearing twerp at 7:05 was acting.  I suspected it may have been done as a parody, but I feel he was serious and that bothers me a great deal.  There were dozens of his ilk protesting here last week.  I fantasized about installing a wood chipper to replace the bucket on a huge bulldozer.  Just drive down the street at 3 mph and watch the crimson spray.
