Thanks for giving us an alternative to the "An open letter to GS" thread that seems to be about everything other than GS.  ;)

That's what I do!

If you're traveling on I-10 in AZ, stop at the recently renovated "The Thing" museum... about 80 miles east of Tucson. Worth the visit.

Great stuff. I always wanted to be a long haul trucker.

It takes about two years to make decent money.
Afterwards, the sky is the limit.
I average a little under 50k/yr. and I can't say as I work too awful hard.

I might give it a shot in the winter.
The last time I was there it was summer during the rains - never again! 106F. in the shade and so humid it felt like I was swimming just walking into the truck stop! lol

Ha...the monsoons can bring relief, or expound the misery in the summer. Highs in the low 70's now...

Yep, the monsoons! Not last summer but the one before is when I was there - in Phoenix.
That mom and her kid got swept away by a flash flood.

Unfortunately happens every year... people think they can drive through it.

I don't follow anyone in particular but I'll jump on YouTube every once in awhile and watch some assorted vids.
It's like any other job - when I'm not driving or doing some maintenance - I kinda like to forget about it.
Also, it seems that bellgab has consumed my personal time!

Adam the Woo was a good travel around vid guy when he was new and struggling to succeed.  But now that he's snookered enough people into supporting him, he's become somewhat insufferable.  It especially turned me off when he would order a big lunch and then cram the food into his mouth and chew away while looking into the camera.  It felt like he was fanning his nose at everybody.  I quite watching him over a year ago.  JustinScarred on the other hand, is a lot more professional and lots funnier than Adam.  If you happen to get a chance, check out one of his vids, WIH.
