There is nothing wrong with a president-elect reviewing relations and issues with foreign governments during the transition.  In fact it should be encouraged - what, they're supposed to start from scratch when they are sworn in?  That doesn't sound prudent for the security and interests of the country to me.  That's why it's called the transition period, they're transitioning the duties of the president from the outgoing one to the incoming one. 

What they shouldn't be doing is meddling in the current presidents diplomatic endeavors.  Did he?

And what on earth does any of this have to do with what Muler is supposed to be investigating - whether or not Trump campaign collued with the Rusians in interfering with the election.  How could he do that during the transition, and after the election?  Nothing Moller has come up with to date has a thing to do with what he is supposed to be looking into.  If there is nothing there, this sideshow ought to be ended.

Many a Democrat and/or leftist has without official sanction traveled to or met with leaders from places like Iran, Cuba, N.Korea, Vietnam, USSR and various Soviet Bloc or had connections to terrorist groups (at least by marriage) like the IRA, etc. Sometimes during war or "cold wars" or when the country(s) was under sanctions. But nobody prosecuted though, sometimes, there was some criticism. But nothing compared to this stuff even though the contacts were far worse and more blatant.
