Yes sadly, The USA got squeezed into that war in Vietnam. I said killed.  I agree, maybe not 600 wounded  ...but in 10 minutes he could have killed more than 60 people with a good bolt rifle and high powered scope. His farthest shot would have been 600 - 700 yards.  He would be able to see the spinach in your teeth at that range with a quality scope.  1 shot every 5 seconds would result in 120 well aimed shots.

yes but even with the bipod, look at the recoil...  a scope is pretty useless in full auto.
