Bernie Sanders 2016 Thread

Started by Jackstar, January 02, 2016, 02:04:57 AM

Seriously,  I do feel for you, Tigerlily.  I like Bernie as a person even if his ideas are a little bit far-out to put it mildly.  It sucks when your candidate gets his ass handed back to him by his opponent.  I've been there.  I feel your pain as the potential future First Gentleman once said.  Did I call Bill a gentleman?   :-[  My bad!

He should run 3rd party. He is an independent anyway. I think he would even have a small chance at victory given Clinton and Trump's high unfavorable numbers.

Yeah. Trump People would love that. We learned our lesson with Nader's 3rd party run.

I don't think a lot of Sanders voters will vote for Hillary. Some will but others will choose not to vote.  A lesser number will go Trump.

High. He was probably that too.  ;)

P.S. I'm pretty sure that the blonde go go dancer behind them is Terry Garr. Apparently, she got her start this way.

Great minds think alike! I was thinking of him as soon as I read third party candidate too. He was the only one speaking the truth back then.  :'(

When you get down to it, for a crazy old Socialist he did amazingly well. And he and his delegates will have a lot of influence at the Convention. Already talk of dismantling the Superdelegates and some big push against Citizens United..

I heard tonight someone refer to Bill as the First Spouse. Sounds stupid. Actually for me the best thing about Hillary possibly being President is having Bill back in the White House

It would be appropriate to see Clinton done in by a third party candidate.   Maybe there is justice in this world.

He said it back then: It's a two for one deal Y'all.  ;)

Hillary and especially Bernie will have to seriously woo the college kids. But 8 years ago there were seriously pissed off Hillary supporters that booed Obama for weeks. They came around and wouldn't even vote for a normal Republican

I confess that I like Bill Clinton as a person too.  He does have charm which is something his wife is obviously lacking.  I could have a beer with Bill and Bernie.  I can't say that there are many Republican politicians that I'd like to have a beer with as a matter of fact I can't think of any right now.

Don't feel too bad, I'm slowly coming to the realization Trump is probably going down in flames. So that kick in the pants is coming for most of us.

A rare moment of clear-headedness from VQ. Either that, or some imposter has taken over his account. Either way, it's progress.

I predict that Hilary will be indicted before October or it will be very close, Bernie will be the unprecedented Democratic nominee.  Also, Bill Clinton will be diagnosed with dementia.

Sure! What's not to like? He's loves smoking pot, eating junk food, getting laid and listening to rock music. He just wasn't so good for us in the long run, I think. He certainly setup the last financial crisis before he left office.

You guys are so great to hang out with "the enemy" tonight. You all have style.  Bernie about to give his alohas so I'm signing out.

I'd like to see that as much as anyone but dream on. The corruption runs deep!  ;)

=Schlyder=

I'd sit down and jam some blues with Bill C.  ... smoke a fatty.... maybe do a line off a hookers ass.  LOL  ...and play some poker, and take a nice chunk of change out of his wallet.
.. and I would for sure play a round of golf with Trump.  I would kick his ass, and take a nice chunk of change out of his wallet. :D

Sanders is apparently losing it...

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/bernie-sanders-campaign-last-days-224041

There’s no strategist pulling the strings, and no collection of burn-it-all-down aides egging him on. At the heart of the rage against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party, the campaign aides closest to him say, is Bernie Sanders.
It was the Vermont senator who personally rewrote his campaign manager’s shorter statement after the chaos at the Nevada state party convention and blamed the political establishment for inciting the violence.

He was the one who made the choice to go after Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz after his wife read him a transcript of her blasting him on television.

He chose the knife fight over calling Clinton unqualified, which aides blame for pulling the bottom out of any hopes they had of winning in New York and their last real chance of turning a losing primary run around.
And when Jimmy Kimmel’s producers asked Sanders’ campaign for a question to ask Donald Trump, Sanders himself wrote the one challenging the Republican nominee to a debate.

There are many divisions within the Sanders campaignâ€"between the dead-enders and the work-it-out crowds, between the younger aides who think he got off message while the consultants got rich and obsessed with Beltway-style superdelegate math, and between the more experienced staffers who think the kids got way too high on their sense of the difference between a movement and an actual campaign.

But more than any of them, Sanders is himself filled with resentment, on edge, feeling like he gets no respect -- all while holding on in his head to the enticing but remote chance that Clinton may be indicted before the convention.

The Sanders campaign has not given up and has in fact intensified.

There is a new chant among his supporters that is being shouted at his ralleys:  "Grind em Down Sanders, and take no prisoners. . . except Hillary."

Jackstar

Sanders and Al Gore should start a little club.
