I take it black as the Ace of Spades.
Thanks for the coffee recommendation, Azzerae.   I’m really enjoying the Illy.  Smooth, no bitterness, an excellent brew.

Anyone know what will happen to me am I doomed or did I do the right thing?

My jab sit on my arm hurts a little other than that I feel fine.
The jab “sit” on your arm?  No wonder it hurts.

Heh, heh, heh... uh, oh!  Mr. Norway needs at least several thousand more messages from Doc’s GF to remind him. ;)  ;D

New developments arise in case of missing Texas State University student

“...Investigators said his digital footprint essentially stopped near Highway 183 and Austin Street. At 12:31 a.m., Landry’s vehicle was found after it was damaged.

That 67-minute window is now what authorities are focused on.

The cellphone was found in the car and despite low temperatures, Landry’s shirt, shorts, socks and underwear were found in the roadway along with a backpack with some marijuana, a ball cap, a laptop and other personal items.”

Hey, Albrecht.  You may have a Dyatlov Pass type incident in your area.

Yep thats what I figured, that the regular callers have a special number so they can always get in almost every night like MTM, Corny, Barry, Thomas, etc.
Just the way Dave likes it.  No strain on his brain.

Funny to hear the old gal who gave George shit for taking all the calls from regulars.  She complained they were keeping others from getting on the air.  George's response was they know how to get through.  That could be taken to mean they have a different number to use to call the show.

Raking and taking a break. I guess Mr.Norway decided to ditch out early, as normal, because of those dreadful open lines. Why not put Syrett, or someone who wants to work or take calls, on for Friday night open lines. Dave decided to make the limited open lines riveting by discussion about landlines, robo-callers, and party lines (which couldn't understand how they worked because "everyone had their own number.")  And he likely doesn't even know that most people who still have a 'landline' it really isn't but VOIP and usually bundled with your internet/cable.

Riveting Mr.Norway:
"The world is going to cell phones"
"How about payphones? There isn't many of those either."

Dave's favorite possession is a billy club used by former guest Doug Hutchison in the movie "A Green Mile."  I think this is the same guy that married a barely legal chick, decades younger.
Ha, ha, ha!  “Hey, Tommee, I need to make a call to Ma Norway.  Stop at the next pay phone.”

“...those dreadful open lines.”

Surprisingly they can jump and do some damage to vehicle. Also, as a morbid aside, besides the leprosy that some can have (only animal but us that can have) and Hoover Hog moniker they have a surprising amount of blood. On a quick 'dare' during dove season I shot one with a Fox double barrel at short range and it exploded. Not a nice scene.
Ha!  I’ll remember that in case I ever need an armadillo hand grenade. ;)

So, I have a question. When did this dangerous misinformation start spreading? Because when I read history books, it seems like it has always been there. In every debate- and from every source. Did you know that in the 1800's black Americans were happy to be slaves according to the most authoritative researchers and newspaper publishers in half of America (as just one very small example.) More recently, we needed to go to war in Iraq because there were weapons of mass destruction (and if you dared to argue, you were spreading misinformation.)

The problem is that it has been around for far longer than the internet. But it was concentrated in the hands of a few elites. They could give information or suppress the truth as they saw fit or were told (think the propaganda of WWII that was openly used.)

Now, that is political. For others, we have the late, great Art Bell (and now punctual, abysmal Dave Noory) to tell us the truth. How do I fight cancer, Dr. Noorie? Well, vitamin D, plenty of sunshine and, of course, toomeric. And I don't begrudge them. If people want to try that instead of chemo- it is their choice. But it is still "disinformation" that could easily be considered dangerous.

You appear to be concerned that too many people can now spread disinformation and want it put back into the hands of the elite few once again to tell us what is and is not allowed (like the new governmental office that they are proposing in Canada.) Thanks, but no thanks. Abe Lincoln didn't shut down the printing presses that claimed that he was a warmonger and his actions hurting the slaves. He didn't tell the papers what to print and demand that they stop what he deemed " disinformation." And that was during an actual revolution.

Here you and others are wanting to tell me (and the entire world) what ideas they can and cannot be exposed to because it may lead to "wrongthink."

TL;DR- I think your conclusion that it may be impossible is correct. Where we differ is that I don't find it to be desirable...
I always shake my head and chuckle when I see all the talking heads offer up their supposed “fact checking.”   â€œYes, just trust us.”

That is the only vaccine I would consider.  Look into the trials of pre-COVID mRNA vaccines with animals.  Nearly all died when exposed to the  wild virus.
So Tejas has effectively whacked up to 2 million folks by now, including a large chunk of medical care folks?  It’s just a matter of time before they end up like so much armadillo roadkill?

We may have to request one of Mr. Norway’s regular callers to ask one of Dave’s women of woo to bring this up with Bobby, between chess matches in the afterlife.

Basically some Hedge Fund has a short position due Friday on GameStop stock. So Reddit and a bunch of internet boards have been working to drive the price to the moon. The fund has already had to borrow like 2.75 billion.

GameStop short-sellers have lost $5 billion this year as Reddit's day-trader army squeezed their bearish bets

Mr.Norway has some guest on who heals people using tuning forks. The usual everything and your body is 'vibration' and 'electric.' The other day she treated a lady who had "just got the second vaccine and was having some bad reactions." Dave, who didn't seem to know what tuning forks were asked her to hum the frequency. She demurred but said that they are in the human hearing range. Then Dave asked how she gets them to ring. And a surprising answer: she bangs them on hockey pucks- and "they must be Canadian hockey pucks because they make the best ones." Mr.Norway agreed.
Ha!  Dave knows hockey pucks.  ;D

However, Mr. sNorway is in St. Louis while Tommee is in Los Angeles - he was born there, you know.  So who does Mr. sNorway meet at the 7-eleven in St. Louis?
Dave can’t result resist the siren call of The City of Angels.

“I’ll be back!”

That, or he’ll just ship Tommee to the cave deep below the earth, via ground freight.

why does George do this
every time he does open lines
he leaves on the final portion of the show
and plays some boring interview
why does he do this
Because Mr. Norway is very committed to doing a quality broadcast.  He recognizes the importance of skipping out early with Tommee for a hearty, late night meal, followed by getting some lengthy bedtime.  It helps him maintain his strength and dedication for his upcoming week of sleeping through health infomercials and woo women broadcasts.  Dave cares.

Which is weird considering his visage and being an over-night AM host!
