Look, genius, HK, is not "it`s own country." It may enjoy a bit of autonomy, but that EXCLUDES defense and foreign affairs. Make no mistake, they exist at the leisure of the Red Chinese. In fact, it`s technically not even Hong Kong anymore. it`s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

You`re dismissed.

One Country, Two Systems. Period.
Go live there for a few years before you open your mouth.

Snowden packed up all his dirty secrets and fled to the comforting graces of the Red Chinese. Certainly you must understand this. When they had all they needed from him, they sent him to Russia. Now, what do you think the kind-hearted souls in Moscow did to our little cream-puff boy spy? Come on. You can`t be that naive.

Snowden gave away the keys to the kingdom. For that, he should spend the rest of his days in a concrete box at the bottom of the super-max facility in Florence, CO.

First off, the dirty secrets were not Snowdens', they were the U.S. governments'.
Second, Hong Kong is not Red China. Mainland China is Red China. Hong Kong is it's own country with it's own visa system, police force, education system, etc. However, since you aren't even aware of that basic factoid I can scarcely believe you understand something as complex as the Snowden situation or the 4th Amendment to the Constitution.

Nice try, but a little more effort and reading on your part would probably go a long way.

God, I wish I could float through life with that level of unworldliness. *sigh*

And I was wrong, how exactly?
Maybe instead of drive-by non-nonsensical ad hominem you could expand on your disagreement?

Just to mention how ironic it always seems. I happened to start listening to the third hour mp3 where the guy announces he is running for a government office. Funny how he talks about government being so big yet he has worked in a government job all his life and now he wants another government paycheck.

Exactly right.

Faddis is an idiot.

First off, Hong Kong is NOT a "communist country" like he claims it is, therefore Snowden could not possibly have "fled to a communist country".

I have lived in both China and Hong Kong and they are vastly different places with wholly separate systems of government (yes yes, except for the appointment of the HK Administrator).  Hong Kong is routinely rated as a better place to do business and has a more free and open press than the U.S.
The reason Snowden fled to Russia is because HK was going to extradite him back to the U.S. - so really Faddis, either get your fuckign facts straight or stop trying to impress the morons that believe the NSA programs have been a good deal for America.

He (Faddis) said, after Art asked if Snowden is a traitor or hero, that he doesn't necessarily agree with everything that the NSA has done, but what he failed to say was that if it were not for Snowden he wouldn't have the slightest clue what the NSA has been up to.  That if it were not for Snowden the NSA would this very minute be expanding their unconstitutional spying.

How anyone can call an individual a traitor because he blew the whistle on a completely unconstitutional secret program is beyond me.

If I would have listened to 1.5 more minutes of her droning, disconnected thoughts I would have blown my f'in head off.
Even my wife (who was two rooms and three walls away) said "that woman is driving me crazy!"

You think if it's legal there won't be addicts and thieves stealing it? You think if it's legalized people won't be killing people for it?
Try working in law enforcement for a while and maybe you'll learn some things about why legalizing it is wrong on hundreds of levels.

While I agree with the opinions expressed here about global warming, I have to say Snoory's nightly interviews with economic doomsayers is much more annoying than Art's paranoia about the weather. As a matter of fact, Snoorys endless obsession with bad news is the very thing that led me to this site.

I sent him a letter a couple of weeks ago, here's how it went:

"As a very long time listener (since Art was hosting Dreamland, actually) this is the first time in the history of Coast to Coast AM that I am seriously considering shutting off the radio while the main host is on--the main host in this case being you, George Noory.

The negativity of the show while you are hosting has grown to the point where I dread hearing your voice because I just know you're going to have a first hour guest that is going to tell us we're all doomed.

My parents are about to retire Mr. Noory, and they have lost over 60% of their savings in this economy. I have lost just about everything. Do you honestly think that I don't know the economy is in bad shape?

Why is it you persist on hammering your listeners with thee most dreadful news you can drum up? I thought both you and Art believed in the power of mass consciousness? All you're doing is spreading fear and doubt, not in fact "just keeping the public informed" as you claim you're doing.

Last night (Monday, January 19th) I heard George Knapp say that he is aware of the complaints the negativity Coast to Coast is becoming known for now, and said he agrees and is keeping the bad news to the minimum.
Yes, Mr. Noory, I understand that you have a responsibility to report the news, but you don't need to keep inviting these guests back that are *literally nothing but doom and gloom*.

I am tired of it, and I am done with you.

As a last aside, let me tell you that I successfully quit smoking after 25 years of a 2 pack-a-day habit--pretty much cold turkey, mind you, so it won't be as hard as I probably imagine to tune you out.

Thanks for reading this far, and let's hope enough people feel the way I do so changes are made."
