The return to sanity has begun.

Sanity to you is being ruled by gaslighting criminals on a witch hunt. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you're insane.  :D

How will this effect Canada? You're still run by globalist Muslims.  :D

Why should I care about how this plays in Canada?  I'm an American by birth and live in America.

Loser: Moore

It looks like the good people of Alabama are sick and tired of the angry, creepy white male archetype represented by Moore, Trump, et all. The Rs up for re-election will now avoid a Trump/Bannon endorsement like the plague.

The election was a referendum on Moore not Trump.  Many in Alabama did not care for the man to begin with.  Add the alleged misconduct to the mix and that was why Jones won by the slim margin.

No, you guys have pushed revolting behavior too far.
You just lost a slam dunk senate seat in the reddest state in the nation; this is on Trump, Bannon, &  anyone else who believed in the profanity known as the Alt Right.
Alabama. You lost Alabama.

It was a gamble for Trump to go "all in" and almost paid off. This helps both the R's and D's but, I think, will hurt Trump. Maybe not as much as everyone thinks. He is a wild card. Lots will depend on how the Parties handle it. It actually could force some of Trumps, and R's agenda, down since D's will need to accommodate (at least some) on Jones lest he loses support back home and the D's further distance themselves from centrist ideas, white people, non-coastal rich folks, government bureaucrats, patriotism, and just full-on go weird sexual minorities, illegals, Antifadas, and such. And having to pump money into Alabama eventually to try to keep seat later, which they, essentially had abandoned before Moore's peccadilloes, if a Hollywood or NYC Dem had them, came to light. It is pretty amazing it was so close for Moore considering the R's campaigning against him, all the media against him, his history, then the allegations, and the late DNC/Hollywood money that came in!

Doug Jones seems like a capable, dignified, non-controversial fellow who will likely represent Alabama as a moderate. I think voters nationwide are sick of the high-maintenance drama and controversy that follows people like Trump, Bannon, and Moore.

Jones campaign manager had some good comments on FoxNews tonight that the people of Alabama want someone who will bring people together. That would be quite refreshing, it’ll be nice to finally have a Democrat who’s willing to reach across the isle and work with the majority party including the President, Donald J Trump. Looking forward to this new discourse of working together to get things done and MAGA. Let’s hope he can convince his hate filled party, the hate filled MSM, and the hate filled lemmings as well. Judging by the victory tantrums here, that somehow doesn’t seem likely. 😄🇺🇸

What do you expect him to say?

He has no intention of voting for any of Trump's legislation, any more than the rest of the Ds have been (not) doing.  Wh would he, the Ds have a narrative, and an agenda, and he is going to join them with that.

Besides, it shouldn't be long before Trump insults him and guarantees he wouldn't ever stick his neck out to buck his party and side with him on anything.  If this was a parlementary system, the Rs would be holding a no confidence vote and Trump would be resigning.  He should do so anyway.

The Establishment Rs would rather lose elections than have someone outside their little club win.  They didn't do a thing to help Roy Moore, starting with suggesting these last minute allegations are used so often by the Ds in so many key elections they are becoming boring.

There have been several Senate seats over the past six or eight years - and other elections - where they simply refused to provide funds to the non-Establishment (usually Tea Party-type) candidate for no reason except they didn't want them to win.  At least this time they could hide behind what I think are pretty weak smears.

All that aside, losing in Alabama, losing all those special elections - all of them - a few weeks ago, 2018 is looking like a wipeout.  Regardless of how much the Trumptards think he's ''winning''.  Look under the surface, and stop disregarding the power of the fake news media.

Trump needs to resign.  And soon.

There is not one officeholder like that at the national level in the Democrat Party.

Don't you get it, the ''progressives'' have taken over that party completely, and they are not the sappy, wrong-headed but well meaning liberals of years past.

Well said Don Lemon. So the last 6-8 years that Republicans have destroyed Democrats and gained 1250 seats, the 3 losses are the establishment R’s fault, wait no it’s the fake news media’s fault, wait no of course it’s Trumps fault and he should resign. You should go work for CNN, I’m sure they can squeeze you in to their 20 person worthless roundtable of speculation.

Or was “Trump needs to resign. And soon” just your new signature? If not it should be. ;)

Oh guess who’s still President....😄 MAGA 🇺🇸 😄

LOL.  Nice to see you pop up.   As if Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy and Harvey Weinstein set a high bar to begin with.  You're wrong though.  Remember Scott Brown who succeeded Teddy Kennedy in Massachusetts?  He was voted out when he ran for a full term.  Doug Jones is in the same quandry.  Enjoy the seat while you have it.  As a matter of fact, enjoy the next year because come November/2018 your party's position will most likely be worse at least in the Senate.

You're a bridge to far with your with your desire for Trump to resign.  The only things that should cause a President to resign are high crimes and misdemeanors.  The only thing Trump is guilty of is of being an idiot.

That's very likey. But right now the Left are drinking their "koolaid", and think that (Democratic) Happy Days Are Here Again. They'll crow until the next D has sex allegations brought against them.

Trump didn't cause the Rs to gain all those seats, and neither did the Establishment Republicans (other than when they were lying about repealing ObamaCare while on the campaign trail).  Obama caused those seats to flip.  Again, not Donald Trump.  Guess what, Obama, Hilary Clinton, and some of the others are no longer around.  Those seats are very much in danger of flipping back, and the way things are going it will be sooner than later.

Yes, the legacy media is dispicable.  They are also very influential with the low information voters - the people who don't pay much attention and who decide elections.

Yes, the Establishment Republicans are douchebags.  Liars, phonies, craven, self-serving.  They don't represent anyone and have no political principles.  But they do know how to win elections.  At least the easy ones.  And keeping the ''progressive'' fascist Democrat Party out of power is Job One.

Here's the problem with Donald Trump.  He doesn't have the temperment, skill set, or experience required for the job.  Plain and simple.  He's driving people into the arms of the opposition party with his clumsy conduct.  We've already seen this in California with Schwarzennnegger, and Trump is right on track.

Sure it feels great to poke the swamp dwellers in the eye.  Unfortunately it's counterproductive and doesn't do anything to advance the agenda, and that's all that matters.  This cult of personality is ridiculous.

Those are the conditions for impeachment, not resignation.

Any office holder - including, maybe especially a president - should resign when it's in the best interests of the country.  They guy isn't qualified, plain and simple, and he's apparently incapable of learning on the job.

The best thing that could happen is for him to drop dead like that SF mayor.  As it would end up blowing up in their faces, the Dems somehow forcing him out on fake ''harassment'' charges would also be useful.  Let's root for that.

I guess we will have to disagree on this point. I know they are the same conditions as impeachment. I really do not think a President should resign over less than that though there may be some scenarios that approach the severity of high crimes and misdemeanors.

Yeah, just like California after the idiot here poisoned the waters and destroyed the party.

Egg on my face?  I predicted Trump would screw things up so bad the Rs would become a permanent minority party.  Now you're agreeing with me.  Funny how people always come around, then claim they knew it all along.
