I do not think Sirius is in any breach of contract, however their streaming did not work right a fact they admitted to me
along with things I am not at liberty to talk about here because they were given in confidence. I hope it works out but
either way I will attempt to do exactly as I said I would.

So are you saying truck drivers aren't various types of people?

I used to work at a fast food joint right next to a truck stop. And I saw all sorts of different truck drivers. Some were on meth, yes. Some had done long stints in prison. Some were morbidly obese and didn't bathe often, and smelled like sweet and sour melon death. Sure, there were those. But there were also a lot of good, decent, honest, hard working truck drivers who were either bland, or interesting, depending. Some were black. Some were white. Some were Mexican. Some were Sikh. Not a single one was Chinese. But they all had heart. And at the end of the day that is what life is all about.

I remember one ordered two burgers with nothing but meat and bread. And he wanted a big thing of french fries. I watched as he ate them in the lobby. He took the french fries and put them on the burgers. This was in 04-05.

Another anecdote: one truck driver ordered a sandwich which was half chicken, half beef. I shit you not.

And most preferred sweet pickles to dill.

Not only that, but I hope you understand, Art, how many ex-military there are out there driving trucks! You had ex-CIA guests on your show, some of your truck driver fanbase I'm sure had plenty to relate to.  An ex-mil friend of mine heard your show was coming back on, weeks before, was expecting it, looking forward to it, etc...loved every one of your shows and was totally shocked that you just walked away. I get why you did it, sort of (given that I'm not behind the scenes), but I'm sure that those callers who called in to you and basically slobbered on you through the speaker in admiration feel betrayed by it. There's sort of a passionate guy named Mike Malloy over on Progress.  I like Malloy because he's genuine...and regardless of his political persuasion...there's that passion that can make for good listening.

Malloy was part of the Air America debacle, and a successor liberal network that also failed called Nova M.  Malloy had no syndicator, so he decided to self-syndicate from his Atlanta home.  He owns his show.  He uplinks it to Premier's contracted satellite distribution service which feeds a handful of terrestrial AM affiliates and Sirius.   And he streams his own video and audio...live.

Its one for the legal suits to work out in Art's case, making the show non-exclusive to the extent that it would allow Art's streaming...and there certainly is an existing example they can use.

Now Sirius has sunk money into him and is floundering with replays --- 28 total --- and arts locked in a noncompete. If Sirius doesn't hold to their contract and any repercussions it might have for art, Sirius's contracts as a whole will be worthless. So their hands are tied.

Art needs to quit listening to his desperately wicked heart and start listening to me. I think art's come to the point where he realizes this is the case. And art, if you're reading this, there's no shame in making a mistake. The shame is in digging in your heels, acting like its not a mistake, out of foolish pride. No one wins but Noory, that way, Art. No one's winning in this situation. Don't you get it??? Damn!

Even if it wasn't the money, the pills, the women, the spiders, at least you can blame it on that shit. My goodness I was watching a show on the DVR with my child Bride and come back to this?  Of course I am not going to commit sewerpipe, I said all that tounge in cheek and I did not say anything that was not said here and over and over, spread out over 106 pages or so. My skin as I age is indeed getting thinner but my public skin has never been thicker. I just thought you would like to see how the same words used here would sound coming from me. I have not changed my mind about free streaming and intend to make it a reality one way or the other. I have asked Sirius to allow me to act as a Private Broadcaster, then as other shows do, I could stay on Sirius and would be free to stream all I want.
If they go for that all will be well, It would mean no pay from Sirius but I am good with that, I do not need the money. If Sirius says no, then I will, at the first opportunity stream from artbell.com.

Again, I am sorry that some people invested in a radio or a stream and if a deal is not reached will have lost out. You do not know what
was going on behind the scenes for those six Weeks and if you did I think you might understand, or considering the makeup of some of this
group perhaps not, but I was trying to act in the interest of the listener, not myself.

I still love this board. There is something about the core group that is somewhat loveable and I still feel that way, I do know trolls when I see them, and I can guess where they slime in from. I am toying with the idea of new hours for the show....

There is only one good way to proceed and that is with a better product. That is what I intend to do.

Nice to hear Art posting here. This kind of has precedence. IDK if by individual broadcasters, but companies like Bloomberg, CNN, ESPN all broadcast on Sirius, over radio and the net.

Would have been nice not to quit though.


For everyone else in this forum, please stop with the name calling. Find another board or thread at least. I'd really like this to be about Art leaving, not the insult thread.
