But what about the AMD back and side doors we don’t know about yet.
@Hi juan  :)
I was doing some...    when I came across this - and I remebered my smart ass comment / joke reply; here.   ;)
You might find this interesting:

https://developer.amd.com/wp-content/resources/Managing-Speculation-on-AMD-Processors.pdf

(I wasn't bullshitting when I mentioned learning assembly, though.)   ;)

Oh, you can't back-space navigate that link, the parent folder has lots of AMD goodies though.  :)

QuoteBackspace navigation is where you remove (backspace out) the characters in the address bar of a website (from the right) to the first forward slash - leave the forward slash in the address first, then, if that doesn't work, remove it (continue truncating the address until the page will reload) - to move up one level in the file hierarchy. After backspacing, reload the page.
Some sites that have implemented security features, will not allow this, but most sites can be navigated this way. (You'll get a 'forbidden' page if it's not allowed.) For those that don't allow this, just backspace navigate to the root (home) page, and go from there.

If I lost you with that explanation, the parent folder with the goodies, is here:    https://developer.amd.com/resources/developer-guides-manuals/

(Compare the two addresses - you'll see what I mean about the file tree structure.)   ;)

One more thing, never trust a site (If they require a login or store your personal information,) that allows backspace navigation. Those sites are easily hacked for that very reason, unless file, and folder,  permissions are enacted on the folders (and contents) an outside connection has no business navigating to.

EDIT:
For those that have trouble determining a forward, from a backward slash (backslash), - I actually come across this a lot - look to the top of the slash. If it is leaning forward  (in the direction you are reading) it's a forward slash, and vice versa.

I’ve been using an external hard drive on a lan cable hooked to my network switch. I’d like to have this drive seeable by all of my computers but have only one of the computers with internet access. I know nothing about networking other than how to plug in cables. I’ll ask if this is something that is possible to do before diving into learning about networks. If it can’t be done, can I set up an old computer as a server and put the data on that and achieve the Internet isolation?
There are a couple of different ways to do this.
First:
How secure do you want to be ?
What operating systems are you running - or is it a mix of OS's (on the LAN) ?
Is this just for LAN access, or will you be remoting in to the LAN so you can access the drive from anywhere ?
What OS is your router / Cable / Satellite box running  and is there an option for file sharing?
(Most newer routers have a LAN file / device (Hdd, SSD) sharing option by way of a USB port.)

Yes it is definitly possible, and in most cases, quite easily implemented.     ;)

If you want to keep using the switch, and be able to access the drive from all systems, this is more involved, but can still be done - safely.

EDIT:
Personally, I'd look into a NAS solution if your router doesn't allow for it (NAS.)

This one is for the DIYers out there.

And if you want to go full tilt DIY (for under a 'C' note,) check out the Odriod build.    ;)

I think someone...@...   was asking about this.

Google says it reviews about 0.2 percent of all audio snippets that it captures. The company declined to quantify how many audio snippets that represents on an annualized basis.

The article also don't mention how it's aggregated, how long it's stored, or if XKeyScore is involved.  :o
We (should) all know it is.

At the moment, my C drive is clean, my cache-cookies-all history is deleted, and I untinstalled and reinstalled the Realtek video driver.  Yet, in Crome and Firefox, videos still time out, especially if i move the cursor to skip forward.

But when I Google Windows 10 video problems, it just doesn't seem like other people are having this problem.

Could it be the ASUS?  Or what.  It's almost a year.  I'm sick of it, blech.  Total waste of time.  And the weird thing is some videos work great.  The trouble seems to be mostly with You Tube videos.

Jojo

I learned so much today.  Tried to sync an email between the android and the cloud.  That didn't work.  But I also learned how to take screen shots of texts, oh my goodness!  High time!  And how to send them somewhere more workable than an android.  Also learned about how to make and receive calls and texts from computers.  A productive couple of days.  These things just never interested me before, but I'm documenting some things and had to catch up with the times  :).

Jojo

Oops, downloads file is gone and when I try to open it, it says the C drive is not available...

A satellite can download a dime on top of your head in your own home anyway.  I don't see how floorplans could matter, unless people are hiding fugitives.  Tax assessor announces the square footage publically anyhow.

Jojo

So I opened a doc in Open Office (thank you all very much).  I edited it and re-saved it with a modified name.  But when I went back into Window10 files, both the old version & the new one are there???

I understand that you would willingly give all to big brother but some of us are actually trying to resist the left’s push toward fascism, you coward.

Name-calling is abusive.  I never said it was willing.  Just because I don't think the intelligence would be valuable doesn't mean I would willingly give it away.  I think paper litter is harmless too, but I don't go littering.

Look, who is the greater coward:  Residents who are so terrified of their floor plan being downloaded to entities that they lose their composure, panic, and therefore forget that their floor plan is already federal and international data...

Or, someone like me who stayed calm and reminded them of reality when they had their heads in the sand.  They were so far into fear that they denied reality.  All I did was snap the rubberband on their wrist to bring them back.

I'm just the messenger.

You should be nice to me.  This has been a difficult few days.

If you edit it again and save it under a different name all three will be there.  Did you purchase the optional file condoms?

No.  But why would it save a prior copy after subsequent editing?  Retention of an old draft could lead me to use it instead of the final draft.

Finally, a legitimate reason to get a iPhone.

I just went from iPhone 7 to iPhone 11.  This is the first time I purchased any kind of phone when first introduced.  Always thought it prudent to wait until sufficient user experience is documented and bugs are fixed (at least a year.)  Took a chance and bought basic model MWKT2MWKT2 with extra memory as an upgrade "deal" from Verizon and so far I'm lovin' it. Haven't had time to explore all it's features yet but its processing speed and battery capacity are by far the best I have experienced and the camera is amazing.

Race treason.

Yeah, face recognition has its drawbacks.  What happens if my doppelgänger gets ahold of my phone, cleans out my Christmas Club account and uses my frequent flyer miles to go to Vegas? I could lose up to $1200 and my good reputation.  It's a worry

"a iPhone"?  "a" iPhone??  "uh eye-fone"???  Were you hacked?  It's "an iPhone" not "a iPhone."  Do you still care?
