 You know this image
http://hideousmonster.com/melshole.html

Anyone know where that came from? Did Mel send that to Art? Or is it just a random image on the net that people say mels hole next to?

I yust hoppen to have been close to the people whom picked up on the original story presented on c2c by mr.bell, mostly in seattle and ellensburg.
The man whom did most of the intensive research is an proprietor of an small museum in seattle,i can supply more info, but he's written an book about melmac's hole.
Look for him:"Phil Lipson".
He and i had an falling out,but he's an good man who's fallen in among bad companions.
At one time,i had an archived copy of an forum about melmac & the hole, but it's mia now.
the archive is on line via alexa, but broken.
I kept thousands of pages,i can look it up.
The forum was run by an clerk in the kititas c.courthouse, whom used an email that isn't active.
some students at cwsc have made several documentries about the hole that are in the regional educational video libraries of wa.state.
If you look around, you can also find news video about the hole myth in local tv news files, some posted all over the web.
I've got lots of info, but the official version is defined by mr.lipton's book.

Phil Lipson's site (looks like he should be a C2C guest with that awesome website that looks like it was made with geocities or hotdog in the early 90's)

This recent (less than a year old) article talks about Mel's Hole as if it was still a legit story.  Didn't Bell admit this, as well as a number of his other more spectacular stories, was a hoax?

Blasphemer! Mel's Hole was real and blacked out by NRO on maps, which also itself was "hidden" originally.  There are other holes around also. And how to explain the "missing time" that involved a visit to SF and missing belt of which belt buckle was made of dimes BEFORE that mint was in operation! And all the wombats saved by his endeavors?
