I can relate.  The thing about KFI I don't like (late-night, because I wouldn't even think of listening to their daytime line-up) is how their newsreaders are apparently told to be sarcastic with the news-- like they are just too cool to be reading that stuff; like they don't understand why they have to be reading that mundane crap about non-Ellay mortals;  -- surely some of you have noticed it.
The thing I don't understand is how so many people who are smart enough and interested enough to find a forum like this are simultaneously ignorant of how to listen to "Coast" online (or by using the phone technology you mentioned) AND -- more importantly-- how to do so (and download shows) without paying the goons who employ Noory.
They're trying to be a bit like Paul Harvey. It's a big fail.

I just skimmed the thread earlier, but have now gone back and reread it.  Yes, it does read like Dr. Phil with just a touch of Oprah.  I like your quotes.  I agree with the quote Women often enter a relationship with a man with the hope he will change.  I was bad on that one, but I realized that was a problem and just when I entered by current relationship was watchful.  Now, I hope my fiance' never changes.  Of course all men or women change over time, but I did not enter and stay in the relationship with that anticipation.  It must work, we became engaged yesterday.
Congratulations!!!

Socks that don't stay up.
Add to that: socks that are too low! When you go running, they fill up with particles. Yuck.

Oh and to the point of healthcare isn't a right... wow just fuckin wow. My wife and I have fairly good bcbs policies... supposedly. Tell me why I have over 20,000 dollars in medical costs then? Medical insurance in this country is a joke or a crime... you decide. I won't go into the details because my wife has asked me to not share details. I am probably going too far with this post. But to callously say healthcare isn't a right as if one doesn't have it... screw em. well that makes me wanna scream.
I hope you and your wife are both feeling better. I'm not opposed to health care reform, and what scares me about Obama's reform is that the healthcare companies are the ones who stand to benefit the most. The level of care and what will be covered do not change much!

I am sick of irresponsible, lazy people whose habits or lack of habits impact my costs. That sounds selfish, but to say that it is a right makes it seem OK for people to abuse their bodies. I am also shocked at how much GOOD care like ultrasound (it's got many other uses than looking for a fetus!) is not covered by health care companies.

American culture just seems to breed so much obesity, smoking, and inactivity. If that doesn't change, I don't seem the health care going anywhere toward Universal coverage.

Please adopt Romeo! I wish I could take him into my home. Check out this channel for other dogs. Luz is another cutie. People are such assholes for dumping dogs. Just take them to a shelter or vet!

I'm now fascinated by Linda's section on Coast. Either we live in a much more scary world than we think, or Linda is easily fooled...

And I still think she's also GN's only hope for a next wife.

Sent from my Melon wired to a walkie-talkie device
I'm so glad you're posting here again! I think Linda's too good and pretty for George Noory. Noory should never get married again.... sorry he's not a relationship type of guy. Seems like a selfish man to me.

Jerome Corsi needs a diet.... yesterday. He looks disgusting.

By the way, Facebook is coming out with a mobile phone next year. Yea.

When Zukerberg was on 60 minutes, Leslie Stahl asked him "why don't you just go public?" I think Zuckerass knew what a dumb product he offered and that the value was little to non-existent. The only way for them to continue profiting is by selling any and all information willing sheeple (Alex Jones!) willingly give up. I hope he and others go to jail. What a scam.

Reminds me of a joke involving canoes.

This kid is a spoiled douche...and a hero to a new generation of greedheads. This is the type of rotten skunk the American populace embraces. Makes me wish the Injuns had better firepower way back when.
Makes me think that social network movie was dead on about what an ass Mark Zuckerberg is.

I agree FG. I guess there may be some value to a social network. I am hard pressed to see the it though.

I can see the value of a higher profile such as MV has requested. But to be completely candid I would be mortified for any of my friends to go to my facebook page. If others can see the wall of posts my family has posted you would see a level of white trash unknown to the likes of man.
so glad to see you posting! in my family, it's a bragging tool.....

well i'm glad to see i'm not alone in being anti-facebook.

I now officially hate mark zuckerberg.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/mark-zuckerberg/9297450/Facebook-founder-Mark-Zuckerberg-left-no-tip-after-Rome-lunch.html
Way to kill those stereotypes Zuckster. If you really hate him, don't use facebook in any way. I hate facebook so much and I think it's just a way to give losers an outlet to feel less loserish. I liked what Bill Maher said about it: who cares if your ex got fat and you saw the pic.

Screw facebook and social media.

No offense taken in the slightest, Cam. Actually, it's quite the upgrade to be compared to a fictional literary figure. Usually for me, it's a colleague or family member saying: "I was watching America's Most Wanted and goddamn if the guy didn't remind me of you". A History Channel profile of Edmund Kemper in the late 90's made many of my co-workers at the time wonder if I was a product of a conjugal visit afforded him.
You're ridiculous! LOL. I'm sure you look like a nice Irish Catholic boy. You also said you're tall, so I'm picturing Larry Byrd, Bill O'reilly, and Bill Murray mixed in a blender.

When I read the original post, I too, found numerous factual errors - and then double-checked for accuracy. I'm so glad you posted, as it saved me a ton of time. I'm not a fan of "pull-the-statistics-out-of-your-ass" posting.
Unfortunately, his view is all too common these days. That's why I said Americans need to pull their heads out of their asses...... ehem..... HIS head. This country is still the best place to live. I have been offered work (and will be in the future) abroad.... let's just say they pay a mint..... I refuse. My freedom, privacy, and family are too important to me.

+1 for telling it like it is. A lot of us have gotten soft. People forget that you don't go out and buy your dreams in a store. They don't come express delivery to your house. You have to go out and bust your ass all day everyday. And it takes a lifetime.
you are very wise. thanks for the support.

LOL. I actually like her, and I know I'm in the minority here. I just find the honey bee and pollination collapse theory interesting. No one is talking about the honey bees! Thank goodness for Linda :) George Noory is another story. He's too dumb to know what a honey bee is.

Many Americans need to pull their heads out of the sand and take a good look around them at what this country of ours has become.

Our America is not the be-all and end-all of the world's nations. We have a hell of a long way to go.
I won't argue with that. However, what I like about America is that our individual rights are respected, at least in theory.

I have the opportunity to get to where I want, to BUY health insurance and food. As an immigrant, I can tell you that America is paved with gold. If you are too blind to see it, then I'm sorry.

"Between 2002-2010, Pakistan received approximately 18 billion in military and economic aid from the United States. In February 2010, the Obama administration requested an additional 3 billion in aid, for a total of 20.7 billion."

Pure Madness.

And here I am, clipping coupons to buy Ballpark Angus Beef Franks at a slightly better price even as I hear the echoing slosh of a less than filled gasoline tank as I bumble down the road.
Hooray for American foreign policy. Musharaf, the ass who blamed Benazir Bhutto for her own assasination ("she should have stayed home. too bad."), has a few sons. Guess where they live. Guess where they went to college. Places most American kids dream of.

Most of those billions do not go to build roads. They go to local war lords and other corrupt elements like Musharaf. It's just hush and appeasement money. Americans are terrified of Pakistan, as they should be. It's a nuclear armed state with elements that want to destroy Israel, America, oh and Iran.

Also, to be specific, I need help with second order diff equations related to an electrical circuit (RLC).

Naw, I'd say Michael Weiner's "Savage Nation" is little more than an angry man shitting all over his callers who used to be a flaming liberal in the SF bay area. The guy needs an assortment of anti-depressants !!!
He is in love with his poodle. I think he suffers from some emotional issues, as most people in radio do. He may even do coke.

Linda is OK. I can handle here.

The other night, I heard the last caller with the Shaman woman. He said that he was dying and he wanted to know if there was hope. As soon as the question finished, George said goodnight. Wow! Not even an offer of emailing the poor guy. This show is terrible.

Also, I miss valdez!
