Last year, when the Arab spring took hold of the Middle East, Saudi Arabia gave all citizens $5,000.00. Not shady at all! I believe Kuwait followed suit.

They have this scholarship program that is meant to develop their nation, but really, it's just a way to get young people out of the country so they don't stir up trouble. Also, the hope is they get their hormones dealt with and that Saudi has to deal with less problems. I also heard that several students in London lost their scholarships and were fined for protesting against regimes. Gotta love it! No winning. Sounds fun.

Were they previously on methamphetamine and then switched to baff salts because they are cheaper and readily available?

That's always been my assumption about that whole mess...

Sent from my iPhone
meth is expensive? or just more expensive than bath salts?

this bath salts thing is going to make it possible for Dog the Bounty Hunter to come back to TV. All his bond jumps were related to meth. Imagine bond zombies..... Dog will be back if bath salts make it to Hawaii.

I just discovered that google offers movie rentals. I wonder if it's any good. Anyone ever try it?

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience as I've had where I suddenly feel like I'm going to drop through the ground. It feels like I've dropped down a few inches and then pop back up within the span of second and there are several drops and pop back ups like in a row. This has happened maybe a few dozen times in my life and it's just very strange.

Brian
I hope you feel better soon. All kidding aside, this sounds serious. Please see a physician! Hopefully, it'll turn out to be nothing or maybe just allergies.

Last summer, there was some dude who cussed and pissed off George. I think he wanted to kick him off, but I don't think he did. He scolded the guy and it was pretty pathetic. George Noory must wear lace panties under those slacks!

I looked at a C.V., recently, and the idiot whose resume it was thought it was a good idea to post his blood type. LOL!

Hmmmm... You should call Coast to Coast and speak with Dr Noory.  90% chance he's gonna say you've been abducted by aliens.  If not aliens then it's a 5% percent chance that demons or angels are involved.
100% chance he'll tell you to take turmeric capsules.

The other video led me to these idiots: Remember, George Noory is afraid of Ouija Boards. I'm afraid of these people!

Despicable Me is just awesome. I love animated movies in general, but that one is especially good.

Thanks for posting the Penn and Teller vid. Remember, George Noory is making a living off of these mentally ill people not by knocking sense into them, but by encouraging their nonsense. No shame.

Would you offer the same suggestion about "no involvement" to the Russians and Chinese?
It's reactive. Russians have been fucking up Mid to Far East nations for many years now. It's not about pulling out so others can succeed at it. It's about doing the right thing. There is no success in meddling. Never ever.

The very fact that it is in the American psyche to "pull out" says it all.

i do agree, it would be great... but i just have a hard time believing any THINKING network executive is going to take the risk of hiring art with his history of retirements.
Maybe the radio exec is a huge Art Bell fan.

Three quacks for last night's guest, Sydney Ross Singer.

Seventy percent of breast cancer is caused by the wearing of bras, and it seems nearly every other malady known to medical science results from your head being at the wrong angle when you're asleep. Oh, and migrane headaches are a good thing - the body's way of cleaning out your brain.
When I eat salty food, I get a headache, but it's a reaction, not a cleansing process. It's the result of increased blood pressure. What a moron. Seriously. These people just need to take a basic chemistry and/or biology class. that's one semester and they can make useful, true statements that people can benefit from.

I swear, if Coast to Coast became Science from Coast to Coast, that would be awesome. People could learn. What a waste of resources. Michio Kaku would be a good contributor in physics, of course.

premiere owns coast to coast, as far as i know.  does art even have the legal power to demand they stop airing his shows?
If his non compete is up, and he wants to do a hobby show, then yes, he could ask for them to stop. he could also get a big fat no and use it to prove what a bunch of assholes premrad are. Either way, Art wins.

I've got some big-time information on this fucker Greer. I have one phone call or email yet to make, to provide "full disclosure" on this prick (been putting it off for 2 years). It doesn't hurt that he lives near me - he's hidden much of his money/wealth in his wife's name, yet begs for donations:

http://disclosureproject.org/monetary.shtml

More when I have access to my original data, and his potentially fraudulent medical claims.

Just FYI: I have a particular interest in asswipes like Roger Leir and Steven Greer in that, we're all in the same general field, giving me a bit of an edge on confirming their collective asshatness.
Your talents need to be put to use as expat's are..... start a blog debunking all these clowns on Coast to Toast AM. George Noory will have some splaining to do.

You know the showdown between Walter, the Dude and the Nihilists? Well, the Nihilists look like Biff and pals in Back to the Future.... those helmets are what do it.

Noory started the show off last night claiming his email got hacked apparently by somebody in Hungary.
Lots of emails went out from Noory's email address pushing some supplement pills.
Sounds like an excuse or did one of his hater's play a joke on him?
Noory had an expert on for a few minutes who discussed the possibility it could have been a hacker using Noory's private email system to send out emails to everyone on his address list with a hidden virus if they are opened.
Noory on the air apologized for those emails that were sent with his name, including to the president of the network.  8)
Hahahaha. Noory got scammed. I don't think it was a hacker. I think he clicked some bogus link. Serves him right. He's an infomercial himself.

Mayberry is a real place. Except it's called Mount Airy. The Snappy Lunch is real. So is Mount Pilot (which is called Pilot Mountain). And so is Floyd the Barber. Who I understand is still cutting hair. Somehow.
I live near a Mount Airy too. It's full of bikers!

Okay, count me in here with a "Huh?!" I admit I haven't been paying much attention to what George does, but somebody needs to help me with the "shameful appearances where people are barely dressed" thing. Are we talking personal appearances at SciFi/UFO/fantasy conventions where hot chicks wear the Princess Leia slave-girl outfit? Or the fact that most of the people he talks to out in radioland are in bed and in various states of undress? Because I don't get the "shameful" thing, other than it could be a reference to the embarrassingly undeserved hero-worship these kind of appearances tend to be.

Or is George moonlighting as an emcee at strip clubs? Is he experimenting with a move to a Howard Stern-type show where he describes over-the-line stuff like watching porn starlets play a scene from their latest movie live in the studio?

Or, as I've always suspected, is it George himself who broadcasts with his elastic-waist Dockers around his ankles while wearing a glove of mink fur?

*edit* Oh, and Frys Girl - while I've accused Ian of interrupting his guests to gratify his own ego rather than enlighten, I have to admit he was almost always very well prepared, and would apologize profusely if he hadn't read every single word of a guest's book - which I never could tell anyway since he always seemed completely up on what the guest was there for. Quite a contrast from the other host that Geography says is such a skilled, professional interviewer, wouldn't you say?
LOL!!!! Honestly, I didn't edit my post. Shame on me.

I meant that the people at the "conferences" are barely dressed like normal people. They look disheveled, almost as if grooming is a non-priority or impossible. In all the pictures and videos I've seen there are mostly disabled, blind (or one eye is permanently shut), and neglected people. Please don't take this the wrong way. I mean that the people need help and are wasting their money by attending some stupid conference where their only joy is to take a picture with George Noory.

when i'm at the office, i usually listen to limbaugh through the KFI live stream because our local affiliate is insufferable.  after rush, they have this guy named bill carroll who comes on for 3 hours and proceeds to bore the shit out of me.  WOW is this guy awful.  anyone heard him before?  and am i alone in my observations?  he is audio melatonin.  how he keeps this job on such a major station is beyond me.  either he's performing oral favors for someone or he has the dirt on who is.  i see no other explanation for how he's kept his job.
I thought Hannity was default/ auto show after Limbaugh.

As to Bill Carroll, that's no good. I'm sick of crappy radio. KFI should clean up starting with giving George Noory the boot.

How do you know Noory doesn't prep for the show?  In the interviews I've heard, he shows a decent background of the guest's material.  When Robert Bruce comes on, he asks astral projection questions.  When Loren Coleman comes on, he asks about lake monsters and Bigfoot.  He doesn't ask random questions most of the time.

In fact, Noory's questions are often too specific, like "Isn't true this animal was sighted earlier this year?"  He asks a lot of Yes/No questions that reveal a good knowledge of the subject. While a Yes/No question is generally a poor interview skill because it doesn't get the interviewee talking at length, the guest knows to take this question as a cue.  Noory will often start an interview by stating the last time the guest was on, maybe years ago.  That doesn't come from memory, that comes from research.  Quick prep, yes, but prep nonetheless.

Noory likes to tell personal stories.  So does every talk radio host.  You think Art Bell didn't tell personal stories?  We know tons about his personal life, his cats, his wives, his son, and his Philippine adventures from his story-telling.  Neither Bell nor Noory's stories bother me at all because, like you all, I am curious about the host.  Noory usually tells stories to augment a guest's point, such as his experience with OBE when interviewing Robert Bruce.  Bell did the exact same thing when he interviewed Bruce.

I don't see how the credit I give Noory for being a nice host to callers and guests and allowing them to talk at length is the responsibility of the producer.  A producer schedules guests with input from the host and handles the business side.

It feels strange as a Shermer-esque skeptic to be defending Noory, but unfair treatment is unfair treatment, regardless who it happens to.  Many members have suggested I start a new thread.  I'm happy to continue this discussion in a new thread if the moderators want to create one and move my posts and members' relevant replies to the new thread.
You are failing to mention everything and your statements are untrue.

George Noory is a low quality host. He fails to intrigue serious callers or guests. I am so glad I cancelled my Cost Insider account. What a waste of money. Coast to Coast AM stinks. I only stayed on for Ian Punnett and George Knapp.

Ian Punnett did the best show prep. He read the books by the guests and his enthusiasm was obvious.

George Noory leaves early, does shameful appearances where people are barely dressed. That says it all.
