Random Topics / Nigerian Scams
June 04, 2012, 05:53:08 AM
Do you know anyone who fell victim to one of these 419 scams? I can't believe anyone would be so dumb as to believe this crap, but I hear it happens a lot.

Once, I did receive a lotto e-mail and I replied that the sender should get a real job. I never heard back. It's probably an automated system, judging by how many emails they send out. I still felt glad to send that message.

Here's a new Nigerian scam: Love Scams! The video says that in Australia, 10 million bucks goes to the Nigerians each MONTH! Damn!

Century Link is dropping a whopping 60 bucks for you to have a chance at winning a subscription to lame Coast Insider/Stream Link. I bet you they changed the name so Art couldn't get any more money from the Trademark StreamLink. Anyway, it promises that the info you provide is solely for the contest.

Coast Insider isn't selling well. After Dark is in a dump heap somewhere rotting with old produce. Coast to Coast AM and George Noory suck!

I drive in a city that hands out 125.00 dollar tickets for going 32 mph in non-residential places. It's a criminal scheme, but I don't have the time or resources to fight the system. Do any of you have experience with any products that make the license plates illegible to cameras?? Please let me know.

Here's a "local news segment" highlighting some stuff. It's awkward, but I'm tempted to buy the spray.

I once saw an episode of 48 hours in which an unsolved murder/cold case was cracked 25 years later through DNA evidence and good detective work. The cold case came up with a police officer as the prime suspect. Cop was later convicted and sent to prison. I've read other stories about unsolved cases that are linked to cops, but due to the wall of silence that the police department puts up against media and other law enforcement, it's difficult to crack these cases. Also, cops just KNOW how to commit murder better since they know the ins and outs of the system. That doesn't mean all cops are suspicious! Don't attack me about law enforcement's important role yadda yadda.

Anyway: this is an interesting, sad case. A girl gets drunk, is unable to pay her bar tab, and the restaurant calls the cops to take her in. Cops release her and she ends up in a ditch in the mountains. Her mother is suing them and she is suspicious of the cops, who have also messed with evidence. The mother recently filed a civil suit and won 900K.

Read the story here or google "Mitrice Richardson." http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Tentative-Settlement-Approved-in-Mitrice-Richardson-Case-128289303.html

I've also read theories about Jean Benet Ramsey having been a victim of a crime by a law enforcement officer.

Is that stupid newsletter still going out? George used to advertise it as "COLOR PAGES!!" That was probably the obituary of that.

What's so great about this guy that he is getting so much alien action? Also, that looks like coal and dog boogers to me, the ones I peel from my dog's eyes in the morning.

Isn't it odd that we're all so glad Dan was able to utter coastgab.com on the radio? Maybe it's because Coast to Coast AM has turned into the USSR and it denies the critics so vehemently(there are so many). Personally, I think George Noory and Tom Danheiser are the haters, not the other way around. Anyway, the point of this new folder that will take up space on a server somewhere in the desert is to say that one day, when I call Coast to Coast AM, I want to tell Noory that he reminds me of the owner of my favorite football team: Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder. Napoleon complex doesn't even begin to explain this man's ego and psychological maladies. Ever since this jackass, Snyder, came around, it has been exactly as we say Coast to Coast AM has become: a failing enterprise.
Even if you aren't "into" sports, bear with me here, and keep reading.

In his most recent jackass move (as with Noory, there are many), he is suing a local alternative paper for publishing The Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder. It's a David versus Goliath fight to say the least, but what I like is that the paper is sticking up for itself, and it has unified the Redskins and even non-sports community against this monster, Snyder. The article was a cover story complete with a picture of him adorned with penciled in horns, and Noory, I mean Snyder, called the article anti-Semitic (most people aren't even aware that Snyder is Jewish nor do they care). He's trying to intimidate his critics and in the stadium, he has banned any signs that are anti-Snyder. Even if you buy a ticket, you'll be thrown out of the stadium should they catch you with anti-Snyder signs or T-shirts. The editor of the paper is JEWISH. The article is obviously HUMOR. This is scary because it means if Snyder can do it, corporations (which are now people yay thank you supreme court of fools) might flirt with the idea should they feel it necessary.

QuoteSnyder's lawsuit focuses on three statements in an article by Dave McKenna. Snyder's lawyers say the alternative weekly knowingly published false statements, alleging he used Agent Orange to remove trees on protected federal lands, got caught forging names and was tossed off the board of Six Flags.
The City Paper has argued that a reasonable reader could differentiate factual statements from hyperbole.
From WTOP.

Dan Snyder has a lot of money to blow, as you can see. He hired a seriously expensive legal team for this bullshit case. He used to own a crappy 50s style (think Fudruckers) burger place called JOHNNY ROCKETS. They're all shutdown but one which is in the gay district of Washington, DC. A lot of people started to boycott Six Flags because of his association with the amusement park.

So if Noory is the only target you have for ruining something you love in life, think of me. I and millions of other Skins fans have to face Dan Snyder. It's not easy especially since the team is constantly losing and embarassing itself.

Don't you just love it when the show has no established topic, no direction, and the same useless host, George Noory?
Hopefully, the announcement is George's resignation. If Premiere Radio is charging people for Coast Insider/Streamlink, the producer's job is to make sure there's a show planned.
Tonight's show:TBATue 08-02George Noory hosts guest(s) TBA.

Robert Zubrin will give an update on why we must colonize Mars and how it will benefit mankind in the long run.
So glad this is on tonight. I wasn't getting way too concerned with the economy, wars, and debt this country is drowning in. Thank goodness for Coast to Coast AM and its ability to be relevant. NASA is firing more than half of the employees (better than getting fired from McDonalds) due to the space program being shut down.
Is this guy Zubrin not aware that private space programs aren't really going to happen, unless Mars is made of gold? He's a nuclear engineer, and this is where he's at? That has got to be painful. I hope he's lying about his credentials.

I have been watching this show on youtube for many months now.
I love it as it is free and without commercials.
Basically, it's what Coast to Coast AM should be. If you like cryptozoology, then these are your guys.
They're down to earth, knowledgable, and open-minded, qualities that are hard to come by in broadcasting these days. They deserve a listen.
You'll recognize Clayton Morris from Fox News Channel, and from the famous r-BGH censored report scandal on Fox News a couple years back.
Noory: watch them and learn something. Premiere Radio/Clear Channel/Whichever monkeys are running Coast to Coast AM: HIRE THESE GUYS to replace idiot Noory.

MV, EvB, you made fun of me when I said it's pronounced More Jellin's disease.

Here's a video rife with Jellin' style pronunciation.

I think it is just a way to promote "hits". Here are a few examples.

1. I went to iTunes Latino and I found out that the top audiobook was Don Quixote. Top songs are Julio Eglesias and Gypsy Kings. C'mon now!

2. I am a big reggae fan. The top songs are mostly Bob Marley and Eddie Grant Electric Avenue. Even worse, clowns Smash Mouth and Shaggy are there too! WTF.

I LOVE Apple. In general, I like their products, but iTunes has got to be tweaking these charts (along with my brain, considering how much fiat money they've gotten out of me). I'm sure of it.

Archive of Old Threads / Mind, Body, or Soul?
July 11, 2009, 08:44:20 AM
Since we have a resident philosopher, I thought it would be appropriate to have this discussion. Personally, I think mind is chief among these three. Without a strong mind, the other two are bound to fail.

If you just take Noory as an example, his mind is full of marble/concrete/dry wall, and I think the result is that he is a soul sucking grizzly looking person.

What kind of printer do you love/hate? I am looking to buy some new goodies like a laser printer and Adobe photoshop. I know I'll get screwed with the adobe prices somehow, so I'm trying to do better with the printer.

I'd also like to keep in mind that cartridges are expensive, but they last a LOT longer.

Thanks!

Are we a pussy nation now?

I happen to live in an area where people can't change their own oil and they call Terminix if they see a spider in their closet. I babysat for a family like this, and I'm not exaggerating that when I told the mom of that family "you live near the Potomac River, there's a forest, you will encounter spiders and insects", she told me, not if Terminix can help it. She has two sons who are on their way to being giant pussies, IMHO. She doesn't let them play outside because she's afraid they'll get ticks.

Gun ownership is not really an issue here. People have no sense of foreign threats. Is that true for the rest of the country though? I'm not saying that middle Nascar America is necessarily tougher, but on average, do you think we're on the pussy end of the bravery scale?

What's happening in Iran, or about to take place, I should say, is what informs this question. The protesters in Iran, are assholes in pink shirts like this guy http://www.iranian.com/main/image/68462 and they do not stand a chance when the SL and Ahmadinejad unleash the stern and serious men (real men) who I saw at the Friday prayer. Say what you will about these religious men, but they are not pussies. They are the ones who saved lazy bums like that guy in the picture from being gobbled up by Iraqis.

I guess what I mean is, we don't really have an icon of a tough, real man anymore in America, or do we? A hero figure. In the middle east, especially IRAN, they have the benefit of being close to religious history - Jerusalem, Karbala, Mecca, etc... I think A country like America is too disconnected to have a religious hero to really have religious movements that matter. But what about a nationalistic hero? A unifier against foreign threats? A John Wayne with military experience?

John McCain obviously didn't have this and Obama didn't need it, but in 2012, I think the guy or gal who can be such a figure will have a good chance of winning.

Paranormal - Conspiracy - UFOs - Etc. / UFO Phil
June 18, 2009, 09:38:55 AM
In the podcasts for C2C, you don't get any music. However, on Friday night podcasts, George plays the entire UFO Phil song. And he always makes a comment afterward like "Awwwww yea. No one does it like UFO Phil."

Why does UFO Phil get this special treatment?

Here is the page where they embed it. Comedy central is being very douchey these days with their embedding. So frustrating.

Here are two of my favorite oldies. I was also listening to stuff like this when others were listening to No Doubt and Elastica and Henry Mancini (in MV's case). I caught up later though. Share your songs!

This review is from: Worker in the Light: Unlock Your Five Senses and Liberate Your Limitless Potential (Hardcover)
Anyone who's listened to George Noorie on Coast to Coast Am radio at night would love reading his book! This is just more of a good thing! Fast delivery too!

You guys really need to go to amazon (see my signature) and write a review. I beg you. Take some of the quotes from the Worker in the Light thread if you want to.

Consider this a GNS Action ALERT!!

He's getting 5 stars from people who can't spell his name. Thank you.

Mine is the review that begins, 'Well, it's a book'.
