I'm not really buying all this, but for some reason I'm kind of enjoying this guest.  Then again, I'm kinda drunk tonite.

If he brings up that Spanish voting machine story, I'll scream. That was debunked 2 years ago.

I don't know about other states, but in WA, people don't fill out a "form" for a provisional ballot or have write down drivers' license numbers. It's the same paperwork as a mail ballot. I know. I was a poll worker.

Of course dead people don't vote, somebody using their stolen identities does. The mummified woman in the house in Detroit had voted at least once.

He's touting Venezuela as an example we should follow?

C'mon yumyum, in the same show he mentioned "tightie whities" AND "superspacialistic".  That's gotta count for something.   :D

May I just state, for the record, how friggin nice it is to hear something, anything different than Noory's stale bumper music.  I'm kinda neutral on these Syrett tunes, but damn I'm actually enjoying it, since at least it's not the same old Noory Snore-tracks.

This guest was on with George Knapp 2 years ago.

I don't think Pallast added much to the stories he told the last time he was on.
Since 2012 there have been some stories that should have been asked about:
1. Obama's mystery "Big Data" election team that went out and "found voters that were discouraged and got them to the polls"
2. Vulture capitalists and the collapse of Egypt and Libya.
3. The French in Mali.
4. Off-shoring corporate liability.

I am going to put that on Syrett; he should have been asking better questions.

Cheez Whiz will get you every time. ;)

Richard is our Art Bell wellll minus the quitting and complaints about cell phones ;)

Anyone who claims to talk about election fraud and fails to mention Miami-Dade, is obviously an agenda-driven hack.  Election fraud is rampant there - and has been performed and caught by both parties.  In fact, the modern movement requiring a photo ID began after Republicans stole an election in Miami and the state of Florida had to take over operation of the city in the early 90s.  At the time, Florida's governor was a Democrat - Lawton Chiles - and he pushed the voter ID law through the legislature, which was about half Democrat and half Republican at the time.

This guest is awful. Harping on Bush, what a crank. He's one of these people who thinks that voter fraud and registration fraud doesn't exist--how does he think Al Franken got elected?

I don't know what the big deal about showing ID to is--I had to show, turn over, actually ID to visit somebody in a low income housing building last week.

The story about Obama getting another candidate in Illinois thrown off the ballot is true but I wouldn't call it voter suppression, exactly, it's just hardball politics. According to David Freddoso,  it was things like discrepancies with middle initials in petition signatures.

The officials can't win. If they're  permissive, people complain, perhaps justifiably, about election fraud. If they try to do anything, such as ask for ID, they're accused of voter suppression.
You're right.  Libs & Dems resist ID cards because cons use it as a tool to get low conscious dem voter off the lines.  The real problem is institutional fraud (google: "Diebold voting machines" and "J. Kenneth Blackwell"), where cons control the placement of voting machines and access to the data inside.
2004 was a huge wake up call to Democrats.  All exit polls showed John Kerry as much as 3 points up yet W. somehow won the state.  Immediately after the election, con operatives like Breitbart started floating narrative about how people deceived pollsters as a way of "protecting their privacy" or as an act of rebellion against the media and the lazy Main Stream Media picked that narrative up and ran with it, rather than investigating underserved districts and access to the electronic voting records.
The Simpsons parodied that well:

It was ok. Pretty much a rehash of the show Pallast did with Knapp 2 years ago.

I tried to listen on my way home last night. During the fifteen minute car ride, 10 minutes of it was news and commercials. The other five minutes I found completely unremarkable. Maybe I haven't given Syrett enough of a chance, but the last two times he's hosted I have found it difficult to maintain any interest in the program. He seems intelligent, just not that interesting. But I've found that to be the case with most Canadians not named Ricky or Bubbles.

Juan

I once knew a very interesting Canadian named Monica.

Guest host Richard Syrett welcomes researcher Jon Rappoport in the first half, who'll share his critique of the cancer industry, which he characterizes as a multi-billion dollar profit driven business that lures people by using scare tactics to sell deadly and dangerous "treatments." In the latter half, Dr. Andrew Silverman, an expert on the Shroud of Turin, will discuss new and exciting evidence that takes the mystery to a new level.

I was talking with a Brit at a business dinner and happened to begin a remark with "I know an interesting Canadian guy..."  and he interrupted with "Oh? Which one?"

This guest Rappoport sounds like a real Doozy Bird, from his Wikipedia entry. But then I take a dim view of most of the guests who have anything to do with cancer.

Gassy Man

Never heard this guy before . . . so far, I'm not impressed.   He sounds like they brought someone from accounting up, put a phonebook on his chair so he can reach the microphone, and then told him to just kiss butt as much as possible and push that Canadian accent.

He's going on about cancer, but the last I heard, most cancers are actually contained or in decline, and people's chances of surviving cancer have never been greater.  Yet, his preamble suggests there may be a profit-driven motive to withhold proper treatment -- fear mongering annoys me.  There are enough genuine things to be concerned about.

And now Syrett offers his theory that "what we put in our mouth" impacts the outbreaks of cancer and the guest, without the tiniest bit of irony, says, "I don't think it takes a genius to figure that out . . ."

I am not interested in the cancer man. It sounds like the same, tired old conspiracy nonsense about big pharma, yada, yada.

I am VERY interested in Dr. Silverman and the second half of the show regarding the Shroud of Turin. A great topic for this very special time of  year. I only wish George Knapp was the one to do the interviewing. He is great at extracting all the information. And the Shroud of Turin is, of course, absolutely fascinating in every respect.

I only listen to Coast on Sunday if George Knapp is hosting. Don't know who this tasty Canadian loser is, but he and his guest are unlistenable. The icing on the cake was when Dick returned from the break with a bump from an unknown Canadian group. Stream aborted.
Memo to Premiere: enough with the cavalcade of nobodies. Pick a weekend host and go with them.

Jesse Winchester died this weekend. They might have played a bump from him.

Done. done, done. Done. done done......

This Silverman guy is obviously a crackpot. I mean, everybody knows science dictates that what he says about the  Shroud must be false! Science! Come on....sheesh.

Good show! Well, the second half was.

Izintit?

Good grief, I hope not.

I'd like to have heard the second half last night, but couldn't make it through the Quack Of The Month. Five seconds on Rappaport's website shows he's a multi-tasking huckster.  PRN has to be selling show bookings to the scam artists; they're almost always on a split show with the interesting subject held hostage until listeners endure a two hour infomercial.  In the old days, a topic like the Shroud of Turin would get a whole show...and would hold the audience.
