Several retired military have told me that for someone to retire as a major is a pretty clear indicator that someone is basically useless.

Quote from: fotd on July 04, 2014, 11:14:47 PMApparently Jorch handles hot dogs better than pizza rolls. He told us last year he prefers "Chicago all beef dogs. Thuh best!" :
George can barely eat two hotdogs. Thanks for sharing that with us George.
Quote from: Yorkshire pud on July 04, 2014, 11:39:49 AMAnd I thought Ewoks were bad.
That is cruel and unusual punishment though aka torture..
Won't someone think of the nice people?
Quote from: SciFiAuthor on July 04, 2014, 02:56:41 PMI'm sure they're only trying to serve Man. I'm also sure Jorch would agree.
I ain't watching no damned Denzel Washington movie. Hello, 1995 wants its actors back. I do like Gene Hackman though. It's actually submarine movies that I generally avoid. I get weird after watching them; The Hunt for Red October for example makes me pine away for the Soviet Union, Ronald Reagan and Thatcher and then I wake back up and see Joan Rivers alleging that Michelle Obama is a transsexual, the border's gone, and Premiere won't let Art come out of retirement. It's like living in the fucking twilight zone.
Quote from: onan on July 04, 2014, 05:44:16 AMI remember when McD's wasn't that bad. Way back when they first started. Fairly clean establishments, decent burgers and fries, a very simple menu. Now it's like some kind of corporate nightmare out of 1984. A hoard of self-serving hollow suits at the top and non-caring low-wage workers shoveling out any kind of crap corporate group think demands.
Why don't fast food joints focus on better quality? I already have a formed opinion on gay rights. Talking to you Chic and BK.
Quote from: pyewacket on July 03, 2014, 11:13:31 AMAh, let's give Jorch a break. It's pretty good for THE MAN WITHOUT A BRAIN!
This is one of the many, many, many, things I find odd about the man. How hard is it for a college educated, seasoned editor to simply state, " a cousin on my mother's side of the family.... or my mother's (fill in the blank)" ? I'm no expert on genealogy, but this sounds too evasive of a reference and could sound like he's making it up. For crying out loud! If you have a relative die in a tragic event like that- wouldn't you know their name and just how you were related? "Mother's marriage through her sister?" What the hell does that mean? Mother's sibling or sister-in-law? Sister or sister-in-law's child? I'm no expert but "Cousins" have an established system to describe exact relationships. Not that hard to chart out- if you have a list of common ancestors.
I used to work in research and this sloppy treatment of information exasperates me. Sorry. Rant over. Proceed with GNS!!!!

Hahaha! Laugh of the day! "Scarecrow" Noory.
Quote from: NoMoreNoory on July 02, 2014, 10:08:18 AMHahaha! Laugh of the day! "Scarecrow" Noory.
Joorch pulled off a metaphysical mind bender last night by declaring that 'it' (You know….it……erm…..all of it……) is 'unravelling and imploding'. How these two things can happen at the same time, he didn't explain.
Not so much with his second guest, Professor Todd Murphy. Coming back from a break, The Nooron quotes the sub-title of the prof's book, Secret Pathways. It is 'The Brain's Role In Religious And Mystic Experiences'. Joorch declared that this fascinates him, because 'just by reading that' (and we know that's as much as he's going to read), you would conclude that without the brain, you don't have religious experiences. At this point, Murphy dragged the conversation back to the unfinished point he was making before the break. Noory allowed him to do this but, undeterred, went at it again.
GN: Let's take the brain out of it. Are you saying we're not going to have that experience?
TM: Without a brain?
GN: Without a brain. Purely consciousness. Something out there.
TM: Well, without a brain, I don't believe we could experience anything at all.
GN: A-ha!
George Noory: uniquely placed to comment on experiencing the world without a brain.
Quote from: wotr1 on June 30, 2014, 02:06:06 AMI caught the first two hours of last night's show. What I did hear was very entertaining and Knapp sounded great.
Henceforth I shall refer to the hosts as "good George" and "bad George (or bad Jorch).
... It's another good Knapp night. I would say a great Coast episode- but I do not really consider Knapp's shows to be Coast shows anymore (that brand has been destroyed.) They are now Knapp shows to me.
Quote from: Seraphim27 on June 29, 2014, 02:24:20 PMI heard it and had similar thoughts. Oh well, at least somebody is taking advantage of Art's stature for his own benefit. Lord knows Art isn't.
Did anyone hear Jimmy Church the other night on Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis? I've never listened to the guy, but I think there's a thread here devoted to him or maybe he pops in here sometimes.
He may be cool and all, but my feathers got ruffled a little (FEATHERS! RUFFLED!) when he said something along the lines of "Hey, I'm filling in for Art Bell over on the Dark Matter Network and I take that responsibility verby seriously. I'm representing his brand!"
He made it sound like he was appointed by Art himself and I wanted to throttle him a little. Don't get me wrong, he may be cool and all that â€" I'm not familiar enough to speak comprehensively about his work â€" but that statement made me sit up and say, "HEY NOW! YOU STOP THAT!"
He then proceeded to talk about Keith Rowland and the other guys he was chummy with, so hey, maybe he was appointed to "fill in for Art" over there. Who knows.
Quote from: Mind Flayer Monk on June 28, 2014, 10:25:01 PMDamn. I was hoping for a historian of philosophy.
One of tonight's guests:
" First hour guest, Webster Tarpley, philosopher of history"
philosopher of history...what kind of qualification is that?
Quote from: Eddie Coyle on June 28, 2014, 10:10:06 PMNeither does the wonderful George Noory. He thinks pious thoughts during his usual 8 hours of show prep.
I don't get all sexxed up for the last thursday of the month on C2C.
Quote from: onan on June 28, 2014, 02:01:04 AMThat's a surprise. I'd think they wouldn't be gay enough. Maybe SF just doesn't want any more Starbucks.
I was listening to a council meeting in San Francisco, they said they wouldn't annex Seattle. Said Seattle was too gay.
Quote from: Camazotz Automat on June 28, 2014, 02:03:01 AMThanks. I always loved the mausoleum scenes, with the Tall Man creeping around and the silver sphere flying. It's good to be weird.
I don't have the date. All that has been thrown around in my "inner circle" is "this year." (some inner circle... as I was unaware part V had been secretly filmed and was already in the can. I suddenly realized my inner circle was just an outer circle suffering from fan delusion. Paul Is Dead, etc.)
I have a few emails out. If I hear back with anything verified, I will let you know...
Quote from: HorrorReporter on June 28, 2014, 08:15:44 AMWow, that is bad. It's still better than an old Snoory show broadcast with a UFO Phil closing as a supposed tribute, when Snoory just uses it as an excuse to skip out.
This isn't 1998, right? Anyone at the Coast web team understand how pixels and JPEGs work when putting them on websites?
Seriously.. a tribute is a weird blurred image of a dead guy?
Ugh..

Quote from: Camazotz Automat on June 27, 2014, 02:36:35 PMSo when is V due out? I could use me some "Tall Man." So to speak.
Unsurprisingly, this is the kind of forced blood donation I endorse.
Quote from: b_dubb on June 27, 2014, 06:42:47 PM
This is odd. Seattle is part of the United States isn't it?
Quote from: b_dubb on June 27, 2014, 07:05:34 PMHahaha. How appropriate would it be for somebody such as Fathead, which by name is highly appropriate for Jorch. to produce some appliques of Jorch's head for applying to the john. Ah, the ultimate satisfaction, to be able to take a dump on Portal Jorch.
George of Thrones
Quote from: Marc.Knight on June 27, 2014, 01:22:32 PMHow Jorch has managed to avoid being accidently run down after all these years is beyond me.
Classic Noory quote from a few days ago in reference to Sandyhook: "He killed all those children, then committed suicide and then killed his mother." I almost spit my coffee all over my windshield.
Quote from: Izintit? on June 27, 2014, 05:43:27 AMDealing with Portal Jorch.
"Portal Jorch" is the best new name for Noory! LOL
