I tried to hook up the livestream a couple hours ago, but being the tech retard I am, I couldn't get it to work. On a happy note, I just wrapped up with Zoltan Istvan, presidential candidate running on the Transhumanism Party ticket. Great, wide-ranging discussion on the implications of rapid technological advancement that will force us to redefine what it means to be human, sooner rather than later.

On another note: I've parted ways with DMDN. This was after a week of very careful consideration of an offer to fill in on MITD. My concerns piled up over the course of the week and I decided it was in my best interest to step away.

Another show is being taped tomorrow - may actually be live if I can get the stream to work, so that'll be a show with calls and everything.

You're gonna come in here and spin all these lies?

How many times did you call Steve breaking the fuck down saying you couldn't handle the show and now you're trying to say he is scared of doing LIVE radio when he started his career in live radio? He tried to help you so many times. I actually felt sorry for you. Sadly not anymore.

Asked? You yelled at him to take the show. Even literally saying the words "EVERYONE THINKS I SUCK". The station is tanking. Profits need to be made. Keith and Pete decided to pursue Steve, then you get mad and fire Pete. Cause you can't fire Keith too, right?

Bottom line is the station is a business and you ain't bringin in the bucks.

I have said no lies.  I was told a man should do the show, so called Steve to get a man in the seat.  He would not do it.  Not surprising that Steve would get you, his girlfriend, to come in and defend him.  I think Steve is afraid of live radio, the only live radio he's done is watching over John Batchelor's shoulder.

You called at 11:30 ranting and raving because you found out they were looking for 'options'. Of course I wasn't gonna host anything with 30 minutes notice and you goading me.

You're a dim bulb. I'm talking about a separate stream for my own use.

Go fuck yourself, Amateur Hour.

The only one with the authority to give you an offer is Keith.  He offered you an opportunity to prove you could do live radio, which you ran away from.  That does not constitute an offer to host the show.

Monday night I called Steve and asked him to host the show that night, he stammered, repeatedly asked me if I was asking him to do the show that night.  He said his phone was in a precarious position, and had to call me back.  I waited for him to call me back for a few minutes, and he did not.  I called him back, and he was even more nonplussed.  I asked him again if he would host, faced with the reality of hosting a live show, he wouldn't do it.  However, that was not the official offer.

The official offer that was given to Steve was to do Dark City live last night as a test.  He agreed to do that, then the night before, declined.  By the way, there is no "livestream" to hook up, all he has to do is call Keith on Skype and do the show.  He wouldn't.

As Art's replacement I don't know that I would come here seeking solace and asking if you should continue. I tried to give you some advice personally when you started but you chose to ignore me, which is fine so I will publicly state it now. If you can't handle the hate slung here don't come here. People will always hate you as a public figure. You have to develop thicker skin and not give two shits what this forum or any other says about you if you do continue. Find your voice and do your thing. But looking for support in a shark tank will not end well.

The asking was rhetorical.

What I wanted to say tonight is, if this is THE Art Bell Fan Forum, some people have a backwards way of showing it lately.

Actually no.  I feel nothing towards you, or what you have said.

I am bummed you blocked my number so I can't call in anymore and sing negro slave spirituals.  People in the listening threads seemed to really enjoy that and some even posted they looked forward to hearing them.

On a side note, I literally never saw anyone post saying how much they looked forward to hearing five minute phone calls by dudes who did nothing but tell you how great your were and you saying how wonderful they were for calling and they should call back anytime, which seems to be about 90% of your show.

You mad, bro.

Sounds like you should spend the time creating a forum where all these bellgabbers can go and create an ever flowing echo chamber of love.  Your own personal "safe space"!

You mad, bro?

This thread has suddenly turned into MITD with Heather.

Something that was slightly interesting is overrun with dudes clamoring to talk to and compliment a girl online.

Get it straight buddy, this is my stomping grounds, and I'm in the mood to throw down.

I really hope the trolls are starting to get bored now.  I'd like to start posting again but I keep cringing when I come to this thread.

I am contacted by BellGabbers off of BellGab often via email, fb, twitter, Skype... they all say the same thing.

Time to hit the wormhole again with some positive energy.

Profile is wrong.

I will never understand the point of bringing up the fact you wish to remain anonymous. That's like waving a steak in front of a hungry dog. Captain Hindsight: Maybe never mention it on the internet?

I brought it up because people keep asking.  It doesn't matter what I say, someone will find something wrong with it.

Gary Mize: Sad when so called fans decide to become Sharks and make the man suffer more with hounding in negative talk and act up on a feeding frenzy when blood hits the water. Not only did we loose him on the show his own drove him away from facebook and Bellgab. Is this what the world has become? So much for humanity, im ashamed to be part of the human race right now.

WHO IS you?

BTW
CALL THE GAB CAST

No, I have much to do tonight.  You will find out more about me soon enough.  I could walk away from here too after what I read today.  Decency is obviously dead; worse, so may be curiosity.

Art is my friend.  Only a sick mind would take that all the way across the line and off the deep end.  Not cool.

This show was supposed to be fun for him.  I thought this forum was here to support that.   >:(

I certainly hope the best for MITD going forward with Heather,  more than anything is we need competition for coast. Hopefully you can continue delivering that. I think you do a nice job with the interviews during the week

Good move in trying to clear the air about Dark Matter network right off the bat yesterday.

As for the open-lines, open lines is such a difficult thing to do and very few do it well.  The only constructive criticism I would have is try not to pass off an answer "for next time". I appreciate you don't want to bullsh*t your answers, but especially talking about personal experiences (like ever had a paranormal experience) it kind of good if you can answer that on the spot. I get it it's difficult to think on your feet like that, especially holding the tradition of unscreened calls (which I really appreciate you keeping that Art tradition up, which nobody does on talk radio because it's so difficult not knowing what coming up next) but just a quick note on answering questions more on the spot if you can.

As for the whole photo thing, it's not a difference maker for me. I understand you like your privacy but I do think that it helps with the connectability between listener and host if you can put a face to a voice. Strange is that I never even consider how somebody looks when chatting on a board like this, but when listening to a host on radio it does make a bit of a difference, especially when you become a loyal listener. But hey do whatever you find most comforting, maybe in time you will change your mind about it.

My NDE is a deeply personal experience.  Any other paranormal experience I could have told on the spot, but not that one.  In fact, that is why I booked Dr. Taylor for last Tuesday night, to talk to him about NDE's.  I made a promise to gather my thoughts on it and tell it; I will and soon.

The photo.  I am soul searching on that.  There are good reasons why I don't want a photo of me published.

La Mesa.  T of C was just a random guess.  La Mesa is an educated guess.  Further details will never be divulged by me.  It doesn't take a genius to find this info.  I passed by La Mesa about 3 weeks ago on my way back to Georgia.

Not New Mexico.  I will let people get to know me, but I cannot give my location, or photo.  I just can't.

Heather I wish Art would call in tonight. Is it going to be open lines like usual Fridays?

Keith will come on to clear up any confusion about the future of the Network, and then away we go.  Anything you want to talk about.  I may even

-cringe-

talk a bit more about myself.

I think you do a great job. I just wish you guys would send the show to the radio stations. I would rather hear you than any Art replay.

Keith is fulfilling his contractual obligations by sending replays to the stations picking up the show on the XDS satellite.  Many stations are still picking up the internet stream, including WTWW and 1010 AM in Toronto.

Art has given his life to radio and to his listeners.  Let's give back by at least having fun tonight.

Damned if I do and damned if I don't.  See you tonight for Open Lines.  Let's make the best of this.  Let's have a fun show in Art's honor.

The stalker knows where Art lives, this person has already been to his place at least 4 times, posting the photo of his property won't change that.  I want this person caught and stopped so Art can host his show again.

We had fun. Great show!

ETA It would have been cool to have heard some samples of his music. But he was way better than the huuuuuuuuu huuuuuu guy ;)

It was a tech nightmare to get that done, plus Alexandre's music is unreleased.  After the show he told me I am the only person who has it so far.  Very kind of him to show me his work.  Great guy.  Again, heartfelt thanks to all of you.
