How on earth can you agree in both?

What is it we're assuming here? That he's paying attention?

Yeeewww have fallen into a Snorch-portal, where nothing and everything make sense all at the same time!

What could George's big announcement be? He's done this before and IIRC it usually turns out that he's renewed his contract for another 10 years or they got some new affiliates- boring and predictable. Just for once I wish it would actually be something shocking and out of left field like George announcing that he and Heather are shacking up in Art's back yard shack and doing a show together- first guest up- Art's stalker. George's first question- "Tell us how you got started doing what you do."

That would be fun!

More Carnivora breakthroughs. Now in addition to curing mange and distemper it eliminates hoof and mouth disease. And it cures insanity, don't forget that.

The mutual admiration society meeting last night was quite the display of pandering, this morning Snorch has a love hangover.

Whatever the announcement it's safe to say it will be about Snorch, him being such a big star and all.

"How does it work? Because it appears it just works."

Those advanced analytics are such a turn-on.

Okay I'm done for the night, got it all out of my system.

And happy birthday George.
#94
Did Snorch just say "it's so nice they can remember [his birthday]?" as if he's going to allow anyone to forget? Is he serious?.

The love fest is getting surreal - so contrived, so manufactured, yet I think they really intend for it to sound sincere. To borrow a Snorch-word: wowh.

I wonder if he pops in here and reads this thread while playing on the internet during the show. Like that false ego and lust for control fuel the compulsion, he tries to stay away but can't. Maybe that's his big upcoming surprise, he going to publicly tell us all to go to hell.

Or announce he's signed a 50-year contract.

Oh Em Gee... did anyone hear that last emerging artist?? The one that sounded like my friend's mom in a booth at the county fair? What the actual fuck was that? I mean that sounded really, really low end!! Seriously??  Faaaaaaack!!!!

Snorch gave Tom strict instructions he is to select only the absolute worst retreating artists, just another Snorch technique to create the illusion his idiot commentary is welcome relief from the hideous excuse for music.

Snorch just repeated the obvious AGAIN to David Paulides (as if David is completely unfamiliar with his own books), followed up with the obligatory "as if they've fallen into a portal!" David couldn't even speak for a couple seconds, then had to release a hearty guffaw. Oh Snorch you stupid ass, never fails to amaze in the worst possible way.

Oh and here we go, got to have the numbers lady on his birthday show, always fun to hear a huckster double-talking Snorch. Since he has no idea what she's blathering about it keeps him quiet for a little longer than usual.

Probably yeah, but I still enjoyed hearing him rip on Strieber and Greer.  :D

Absolutely. Strieber is such a drama queen he's incapable of making lies sound like truth, and Greer is just a train wreck of lies. Have you seen Greer's "love being" photo? It's actually a common wood moth. He charges $800 a pop to go moth spotting - and people pay it.
Here goes Tyler with the standard 9/11 bilge, just told a lie about 757 controls that I know for fact isn't true. Connie has taken on an incredulous tone with this goofball, probably watching the clock praying for her time with this idiot to end. Grrrr did I really just waste three hours of my life listening to this human cesspool...
#97
Is Derek Tyler just another book-peddling huckster fostering his sales increase by scaring the crap out of people? He's got to be liar, I'm ashamed of myself for even considering that he's not. His Facebook page looks moronic, surely it's all contrived. He just screwed up recounting details from his own book, now he's spouting supposed details about alien consumption and defecation. Now he says "Skinny Bob" is of the race of aliens who crashed at Roswell - not true, Bob is of the tall thin aliens with narrow shoulders and long arms. The Roswell aliens were small, the size of human children. This guy has got to be just another slimy low-rent liar. Connie Willis is being obnoxious tonight as well, I think she attracts bad guests. I'm interested in your opinions please.

Hate admitting anything associated with this show is useful - but I'm glad I heard the Michael Daugherty segment. What he's talking about is important - coincidentally I'm currently fighting a personal matter in a corrupt rural court infused with slimy bottom-feeding attorneys. Got some new ideas from Michael, need to find his book first thing tomorrow.

Back to Snorch - he's now attempting condescension with Laura Tempest Zakroff. Snorch you're not smart enough to be condescending with anyone, take another tack.

Guest points out North Korea seems to have stood down and Kim Jong-Un appears to have "blinked" - but Snorch and his superior intellect will not have it, something IS going to happen (since fear-mongering stimulates ratings). Now he's choked-up because JFK has been shot... 54 years ago. Or is he just upset because his interview with the elderly English teacher was a dismal failure.

Oops I see I'm a bit late with the observations, but yes we're all on the same page. The man is a hopelessly obnoxious moron.

To be fair, George knew Ma Noory would want to know
Yikes that comment made a B-line right over my head, it's an insider joke I don't get, quick pass me the snake oil er Carnivora.
#101
Snorch has again overdosed on stupid pills, keeps losing his place, each uncomfortable silence followed by a sheepish "huh". Then we hear those brain wheels turning, and - wait for it - Snorch fashions a question less germane to the subject than "huh". Guest mentions he uses a 32mm lense, Mr. Brainpower follows up with "and how big is that?"
#102
Because in my area there are no other late night non-Christian non-ESPN talk radio radio choices. One evening while exceptionally frustrated I began a desperate search of the AM dial and Snorch was everywhere near and far. It's incredible how one individual with so little talent could have risen to dominate the genre. The lack of choice must say something profound about average standards.

Yes, perhaps George Noory has gone off the edge -- finally -- by that terrible act he does. He perhaps thought he was going to become a "household name" and world famous when he took over "Coast" and ruined what Art Bell worked hard to build.

Then, when his Los Angeles bit was met with nothing but rejection, Noory decides in his perhaps demented state of mind he'll turn some event that was designed to showcase the paranormal, UFOs, ET theories and such into that "fame" as a performer he failed to achieve. It appears these events are now some "cover" for Noory to make a fool of himself thinking it's him in concert like he's some recording or performing artist.

It can be sad to see someone like him descend into delusions and perhaps eventual madness. The definition of insanity may be found among those who don't see themselves as being such. Just review the above video and ponder whether that guy doesn't see how awkward and maybe even insane it is? He obviously thinks he is so good and is taking it seriously -- that won't cut muster on karaoke nights at the local saloon with the worst of on-stage drunks.

Word to the wise: Noory takes it seriously! Believe it or not. He thinks himself a "star" and is self-convinced he's very good -- and comes down on anyone who dares question his "incredible talent" as he fades away in his older age, never becoming that "famous" person and "household name" he thought he'd become. So now being the narcissist who takes it out on any fool who dares attend his live events.

It's Norma Desmond syndrome. Snorch will always be ready for his close-up even though we wish him to be far far away.

Ouch that hurt, think I just went deaf thank goodness.

Listening to the first hour of last night's show about Bilderberg Group. Daniel Estulin is talking away while Noory either can't or won't follow along, replete with the occasional "it sure is" or an interjection of random fact he just ran across while playing on the internet. Like these are things you don't already know about radio's favorite moron. Gosh I hope I can still get tickets for George Noory live... could you imagine actually sitting through that?

Okay good, just had to get that out of my system.

Couple weeks ago it was really good to see Snorge turn C2C into a four hour infomercial for criticalhealthnews.com

1) Caller mentions symptom
2) Non-Doctor creates instant diagnosis
3) Prescription follows which invariably involves supplements that can only be purchased through criticalhealthnews.com

That Snorge, what a class act. He never seems to stop elevating Coast to Coast to higher and higher echelons.

Just. Fucking. Incredible.

At least Purity Products makes an attempt to sound legitimate. No need for any such effort with the Snorge crowd.

what is this thread about?

My apologies, I didn't think I needed to spell it out. My comment was directed toward that consummate professional, everybody's favorite radio man: George Noory. I shouldn't be so hard on him, I mispronounce "Velázquez" and "Martinez" all the time, don't you? I mean they're very difficult words to pronounce - VEL-AZ-QUEZ, MAR-TIN-EZ - it's so easy to get confused by such obscure ethnic names.

Three hundred million people in this country and George Noory is the best they can come up with for an internationally-known radio show, don't you find that just a little bit strange? Someone so incompetent and stupid - I don't understand how things like that happen. I guess it's corruption, I guess it's someone knowing someone else, I guess it's some process by which the best person for the job definitely did not get the job.

Oh gosh look at the time I gotta go, he's on the radio right this very minute hawking Carnivora and Paranormal Freak dot com, can't miss out on any of that. Have a glorious evening.

Looks like I was 411 Missing from Coast with a good host and an interesting guest.  I'll try to go back and listen to it.
George Knapp is always a winner. He actually answered an email a few months ago, said he's not interested in five nights per week because he "has to sleep". I think sleeping is highly overrated particularly when I need him hosting that show.

I'll have to admit Paulides was pretty interesting last night. Oh well nobody is 100%. Bet that saran wrap creature is no fun at parties.

I grow weary of David Paulides. I used to find his stories fascinating until I did some research and found a couple factual errors. Regarding the Henry McCabe story either he doesn't know all the facts or he withheld them to make the story sound more interesting.

The Henry McCabe voicemail segment is from from Paulides' most recent C2C interview March 23. McCabe disappeared from Fridley or New Brighton MN September 7 2015 and his body was found in a New Brighton lake November 2. The Paulides angle focuses on a strange voicemail McCabe left on his wife's cell phone the night he disappeared. Only a small portion of the message has been released, ABC News legal department advised against releasing the whole thing. Noory played the portion during the interview and you can hear it on news reports found on Youtube. In the message McCabe is heard yelling and moaning and at one point there's a reverberating sound that Youtubers speculate is an evil inter-dimensional or extra terrestrial being attacking McCabe (Noory to Paulides: "and David I HAVE to tell you, that sent SHIVERS up my spine!"). Yes the whole thing seemed genuinely creepy and I got fascinated - and then started reading news reports that can be found all over the internet.

On the night Henry McCabe disappeared his wife was in California with their kids, there's been speculation they were having marital problems. Also their rent check had just bounced, there's been speculation McCabe was depressed over money. The night he disappeared McCabe had gotten drunk in a sleazy bar known for trouble with a couple friends from his home in Liberia. He got so drunk he had to be stopped from buying more drinks. McCabe was later dropped off at a gas station by one of the friends because he wanted to walk by himself, this was confirmed by surveillance video. And here's another part David Paulides doesn't mention, that night Henry McCabe made multiple drunken calls to both his brother and his wife. His body was found with no visible signs of trauma and the coroner ruled it death by drowning in fresh water. Yes the body would be intact after two months in water if the water temperature was less than 70 degrees which it was. Another interesting tidbit, before McCabe's body was found a community policing organization had offered a $10,000 reward for information but later withdrew the offer because they found evidence the wife wasn't being truthful with police.

I think McCabe was drunk depressed and despondent over marriage and money problems and he threw himself into the lake. I think his bizarre voice message was due to being drunk out of his mind and the reverberating sound was a glitch in the connection with the cell tower. I think this case has a very down-to-earth explanation and Paulides should remove it from all subsequent printings of his book.

And if Paulides isn't what he seems to be then all I can say is it just figures because look at who he's associated with.

Where ya been, Curly?  Art reads and posts on this forum fairly regularly.  I vote narcissistic drama queen.

Well then maybe I'm the one who has better things to do than hang out on an anonymous internet forum. But I should find some of his posts and see what he has to say. I'm assuming they can be found under a creative username like "Art Bell"?

He was a household word at one time, maybe he doesn't want to let that go. Sort of like Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard. Celebrity is a cruel mistress.

I heard Howard Stern do it with Tamara Clark's 1st name.  He mispronounced it, was corrected, then went back to the mispronunciation.

I wouldn't know, I can't stand Howard Stern either. Gosh if I had to listen to one of them which would it be.... can I just smash the radio and read a book?

If you had to pick one, huh? Nice. So you think he might be a psychopath, but you're not too sure. He may just not want to work anymore, instead. LOL. Wow, what a spirited defense. I'm sure he really appreciates it...  ::)

He probably has better things to do than read other people's posts on an anonymous internet forum. I don't know the man nor have I heard of any proclivity toward mental defect but if i had to pick one over the other it wouldn't be sociopath, he's too organized and disciplined. People are free to express ideas whether it meets with your approval or not Sparky.

No one would be on his back if he hadn't started two shows in the past four years, quit both within months and posted on here to further stir the shit.

Hmm, well it does sound like there's some kind of mental thing going on there. A few months ago I either heard or read a statement he had made - I can't remember if I heard him say it via Youtube or read it somewhere - but apparently people had been whining "Art please come back" and he made some statement about getting older and no longer being able to keep up. I remember thinking oh well that explains it and I guess he won't be coming back. I think that's what I meant about get off his back, like he's not coming back and it's time to move on.

But sociopath? Sociopaths are disorganized and frequently live on the fringes of society. But a psychopath is organized, has no empathy for others but is able to mimic emotion and hide their true nature. If I had to pick one it would be the latter, but actually I think he just doesn't want to work anymore. The bloom is off the rose.
