Yes, but I am not sure how much of a role Warhol played in it.

I barely remember seeing it,  but remember it being somewhat tough to watch.

I offer you Linda Ronstadt,

...and I rest my case.

Breathtakingly gorgeous in her 20's, in her 50's a reminder that those incredibly delicious refried beans really are liquified with lard.

That was mean though. Linda did have one of the most beautiful voices in music, and it's still very rich and moving. Thank Gaia we all don't have to depend on our attractiveness in public to earn our living, or most of us wouldn't be chubbies - we'd starve to death. At least I would.

Now that is brutal.

eeeeeeeeeeh? really man?

You could do a lot worse (not that I think she's "hot", and I'm really hating the hip/ass area at present), and when you get to say "Yeah, I banged Daisy Duke", you don't have to say when.

But then again, I'm married, which means I'd imaginary bang just about anything.

One of the coolest things I ever saw was when Sensei Seagal got up, played guitar and sang Kung Fu Fighting on the opening of SNL when he hosted it.  It was removed from the beginning of the show on Netflix and I can't find a vid of it anywhere, although I know it gets aired in Sweden and Germany on syndication.

Russell Crowe in 2026.

Johnny Bench, or Russell Crowe 2 years ago.

Was shocked to see the new Russell in The Man With The Iron Fists.  You can tell he's a great actor because he has gone the way of Brando and Kilmer before him.

long live the coyle!

I was thinking back and can honestly say that when I was young I spent about 25% of my daisy duke time looking at her tits.  75% of the time was all about that box and ass.

So, I had to look around and found this...

my boner screamed a resounding superman "NOooooooooooooo."  Damn you father time damn you to HELL!!

I apologize for my participation in all of this derailment but when the convo is good... the convo is good.

I feel for and with you. FT is brutal, as is living on those residuals it seems.  I can't hate on the woman just because she has been reduced to subsisting on molten pizza rolls.  Would hit.

Yeah man.  Plenty of the guys I'm talking about go over there repeatedly for Muay Thai training - it's a massive sub group of Thai tourism.  The most problem I'd see anyone having there as an American is drunken Brits, Aussies, and or Russians taking the piss out of, and maybe a swipe at, you.  But generally friends report that everything and everybody is mostly cool in Thailand.  Be prepared to haggle.

Amsterdam - The red light there is like a Barbie Museum of Eastern Bloc lovelies.  Saw the hottest blonde I've ever seen, and by ever, I mean ever.  This chick was unreal.  She had the look that every beauty pageant entrant prays to Satan for, regardless of race; the kind of beauty that causes instant hatred in females when encountered in real life.  Unreal levels of beauty.  The others are generally pretty hot too, but you do get variances.  Just don't go in the daytime.  It's when the museum showcases the older Barbies that the pet dog got a hold of - pock marks, missing limbs, etc.  As for the everyday regular girl, lots of beauty there, as one would expect in any European metropolitan city.  If you haven't had a Beemster sandwich in Holland, then you haven't had a Beemster sandwich.  Great Awesome city, but pricy; especially for N Americans.

Trinidad - African, Indian, Spanish, French, British, Portuguese blood running through the veins of an island can make for strange and beautiful combinations, and it does here.  It's a drinking culture that loves to party, and with a relatively large gay male community and many males in general out at sea for months at a time on oil rigs, the straight male to straight female ratio is rather comfortable.  Generally very safe if you stick to the main Port of Spain East/West corridor and/or hang with locals.  Not many tourists outside of Carnival time, but plenty of foreign visitors and expats due to the various industries there, especially oil. When last  there the exchange was $6TTD to $1USD.  HIV might be an issue, so if you aren't lucky, be safe.

Venezuela -  Scores of beauties all over the place in sun-baked hues, and in great bathing suits at the beaches and pools.  Fantastic food - Arepas (that are priced right, unlike in N. America), the best empanadas, amazing steak houses.  Was safe enough for a crime ridden city 20 years ago (Caracas & Margarita Island), but would not really consider going there today as a 1st choice destination (when there are so many to choose from).

Colombia -  A smidge less (traditionally) beautiful than Venezuelan gals, but a smidge more sultry.  Balances out IMO.  Really nice people too.  All that I have met and seen were vacationers in one country or another (From Bogota, Medellin, and Cali), so I'm not sure I'd consider heading to Colombia, especially any time soon. Tanned Sexpot Bombshells.

Poland - Only know from clubbing and strip bars, but Poland has some gorgeous babes.  Same goes for Czech Reblic, and Hungary.  I'd visit Hungary, and buy property in Poland, but have no interest in visiting the Czech Repub.

Japan - Always thought Japan had the softest beauty of the east Asian countries, and would love to go there.  Ramen, Anime, Kendo, Mishima Yukio, Sakuraba Kazushi, Gundam, Sake, and Doll-faced beauties. Sounds like heaven.  Hold the nori.

Does George play this song? I've never heard it, but I recognized it immediately because it seems like every dance pop tune these days has this same screamingly gay sound. I hate it.  8)
The scene in the video made me think of either the Pattaya walking district in Thailand or that famous shopping district in Tokyo. I was wondering if anyone here has <cough> done Thailand. I've never been, but were it safe I would like to. Not for the girls, I would never do that. Matter of fact I had it removed just to honor the women of the National Organization for Women. I mean for the beaches, of course. That's beaches, b-e-a-ches, not the one that rhymes with witches. And I hear Thai McDonald's is to die for. Or from.

Shinjuku?  And Thailand is pretty safe.  Got plenty of acquaintances who go over there multiple times a year, every year, and they have no issues.  Plenty of farang there and plenty of western and western European options for food and shopping around bigger cities.  They've got tons of 7-11's, so you'll have no problem scoring beef jerky and SKOAL wintergreen at 4 in the morn.  Parents went last year and loved it, although they said Cambodia was the best, followed by Vietnam.

Just don't get caught with drugs, and as for beaches, well, beaches are always hazardous; you've got to respect the water, which can be dirty anywhere in the world, but also totally fun to swim in.

Many 'real' cowboys in my family, and a few that went into the pro rodeo circuits.  Was going to go pro myself until I suddenly came to my senses ......  That said, I look at the 'westerns' with a critical eye.

There are so very few 'Hollywood cowboys' that can even marginally ride a horse .... Yule Brynner comes to mind.  Looks like a sack of spuds lashed to a pack saddle.  There are many more like him, and it's amusing because Hollywood has the most amiable, smoothest, unassuming horseflesh you'll ever find.

...

Come on now.  One can only look so natural in a saddle when they are melding Russo-Romani-Shakespearian Ham with Beef Jerkied Classic Cowpoke.  Also, he supposedly had some back injury when he was younger.  I find him stiff in about anything he does.  Made him a natural choice for the robots in Westworld and Futureworld.

Anyone see that Dracula with Udo Kier in it? I found it pretty funny actually. But Kier was a perfect hambone in that movie.

Was it a Warhol movie?

Speaking of horror, anyone see a movie called Cigarette Burns with Norman Reedus? I am not a horror fan, in general, but this movie wasn't really a horror movie, more like a really imaginative, disturbing film which had some horror in it. I watched it 'cause of Norman (we should start a Norman thread), but discovered it to be really cool. Udo Kier is in it, too. Gotta have Udo for anything thing disturbing and German.  :P

Was a decent lil' flik, and came out when the Master's of Horror series was still watchable.

I hear your concerns and validate your feelings, Usagi. I find myself in a very similar situation, as it happens, which is never knowing whether my reader will be bright enough to figure out that what I've written is a joke, and will thus need a visual aide. I used to think wit was plain enough for all to see, until the modern era began. You know the one, the "same smell, less brain" human era we're living in now? And I learned otherwise.

It's probably just me, but your wit & humor comes through pretty clearly.  In fact, I've never taken any of your posts seriously.

Have managed to collect a bunch of old systems, with games. My most impressive (or depressing, considering) are an Intellivision (in box, 25 or so boxed games with controller inlays) and an ancient Telstar system that plays handball, tennis (pong) and "hockey". Also most systems I grew up with, excepting the TG16 (I totally refuse to pay over $50 for that system, regardless of how much Blazing Lazers it promises).

Hey man, the Intellivision was damn good, even if it ended up the betamax of it's era.  Many games had more "variables", depth, and choice than Atari games, which made it extra cool.  And the Telstar, hilarious but still classic.  If you ever loved playing pong you should go out of your way to try and play Rockstar Table Tennis for the xbox360; it's basically Pong for the Gods.

That was one of the more graphic, realistic nuclear attack movies.  It came out right around the same time the US movie The Day After.  Threads is far more disturbing.  After not watching it since it was originally shown in the US on cable TV, I made myself watch it a second time about a year ago.  It still had the same effect on me.

Talk about one of the biggest letdowns.  I remember The Day After was like a plague in some places when it aired; my elementary school had an assembly and we were told to never watch the movie and messages were sent out to all the parents.  Too disturbing and all that.  Never saw it till mid-to-late 2000's.  Bah.  As if it was any worse than V (Marc Singer was sooo cool! - The Beastmaster!).  Hell, by that time I had already seen Friday the 13th, Porky's 1&2 , and Evilspeak, never mind The Treasure of the Four Crowns - now that was a traumatic experience.
