Here’s a good example of the “Jointness” the services were striving for back when I was in.  Note that the AF B-52H is being accompanied by carrier based F/A-18 Hornets and an E-2C Hawkeye (Willie Fudd).

The below photo of John Ritter demonstrates his prescience in anticipating the time when face masks might be required apparel at one’s favorite watering hole.  Even though the ability to ingest one’s preferred libation through one’s nostrils is a hard-won skill requiring many long hours of practice, recent events have proven its value.  I do not regret having put in the required effort notwithstanding the expressions of revulsion and ridicule I suffered during many a happy hour.

I wonder who we'll need to thank for the next fresh Hell.

Good God, is their no limit to their villainy.  First they create the need for screening passengers at all airports, seaports, etc. by knocking down some buildings with airplanes and then they infect the work force created to do the necessary screening with a highly contagious and deadly disease so as to widen and accelerate its spread.  The plan is as diabolical as it is clever.   And to think, its all to prevent Major League Baseball from taking the field this season.  Does Andrew Faucci know about this?

What better way to top off the Woofloo than with a case of the "Chinese plague."

The World Health Organization (WHO) says it is "carefully monitoring" a case of bubonic plague in China's northern Inner Mongolia region, but says that it is "not high risk".

I will sleep better at tonight knowing that the WHO and Dr. Who are monitoring this "low risk" event.

Bubonic plague in China doesn’t concern me as much as dengue fever in the Keys.  It’s a proximity thing.

Why have we heard nothing from the usual chorus of pandering politicians, outspoken athletes and left wing social justice warriors clamoring to defund the police concerning the surge in shooting deaths and general barbarity that continued over the weekend in U.S. cities from coast to coast.  Those who think that broadly labeling law enforcement agencies as hotbeds of institutionalized racism has not given rise to the increasing mayhem are suffering badly from rectal-cranial inversion and are very likely beyond hope.

Joe and his boss didn't think China was "our problem." Seen the news lately?  China's outrageous territorial claims and aggression in the South China Sea and the straights of Taiwan accelerated and reached its current level of egregiousness during the Obama years.

From the attached article:

"Biden has consistently dismissed the notion that China poses a threat to the U.S., telling a concerned voter last year that the communist nation is “not competition for us,” and adding that “they’re not bad folks.”

Of course Joe and Hunter don't think the ruling Communist Party elites are such bad guys.  After bowing to popular pressure and stepping down from the board of a company managing an equity fund backed by Chinese state-owned entities, Hunter still owns a 10% share in the enterprise.  And then there's Burisma and the Biden's Ukranian friends but that's another story.

Ignoring Joe's diminished mental state and record of being on the wrong side of issues for the moment, one wonders how much of a crook does a Democrat have to be before he/she is considered to be unelectable by the party faithful.  This is not a rhetorical question and responses are solicited.

Roz,

Lately I have been contemplating that my semi-feral bachelor state might benefit from blissful domestication.

This might be yet another Bellgab fantasy, mild insanity or a symptom of the madness of love;  perhaps a tasty melange of the three?  In these difficult times, I find comfort in my longheld conviction that such a sumptuosly beautiful mind as yours must necessarily be held within a similarly beguiling package.

Being the gambling rambler that I am, I feel that I must cast the die.  This lifelong fascination with the mysterious concept of an arranged marriage leads to contemplation of lifting the veil on an adventerous nuptial arrangement.  I embark upon this perhaps quixotic quest with the firm belief of your perfect nubility;  I impossibly dream that you will be convinced upon reading this request that it was written while on a bended knee.

Should this offer be appealing to you, simply provide an appropriate ring-size and a jeweler will be engaged to fashion a suitably tasteful and elegant ornament for your many talented hand.

This bauble will be presented at, and for, your pleasure as further negotiations warrant.

If nothing else, I hope this offer leaves you with at minimum a bemused smile.

Yours,

-p

Don’t forget to obtain her agreement on dowry size and pre-nup provisions before taking a knee.

It wasn't until he was benched twice that Colin Kaepernick reached the height of his anger at American society and culture.  If he were to return to the NFL and get benched again for not playing well he'd be three times as angry and the League would have to make another apology.  As a life-long fan I'm going to miss watching pro football but there are important principles involved here that make the sacrifice imperative.

No I really don't.  I record every C2C show on my CCrane Witness, bought it when Bell was still doing the show, but listen to at most 40% of them.  Whether I listen is usually a function of the guest, although I do listen to every open lines segment to enjoy the buffoonery.  I tend to listen to Punnett and Syratt shows most frequently, but seldom ever listen to Willis, Garr, or Church.  The Georges I might listen to 50% of the time, but again it's usually guest dependent.

As to what the future holds for George, unless he really steps on his crank big time,  I think the network will allow him to stick around as long as he wants to do the show.  Considering how self important George thinks he is to "his" listens, that could be a while. Besides, there could be worst hosts.

You don't mean to say that Alex Jones might take over do you?  Now there's a hideous prospect!

NFL Plans To Have “Black National Anthem” Performed Before ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ At Week 1 Games

https://deadline.com/2020/07/nfl-black-national-anthem-planned-for-nfl-week-one-1202976606/

This move by the NFL to placate certain of its players who continue to fan the flames of racial hatred over the murder of George Floyd through their overheated and often bombastic rhetoric is exactly the wrong thing to do.  How many of those who participated in the senseless rioting, looting and killing felt justified in doing so after hearing these millionaire gridiron heroes condemn all police, white police in particular and American society in general.  The truth is that the murder of George Floyd by an out of control and likely racist police officer is an aberration and not a common happening.  This is born out year after year by independent third party investigation, trial results and reliable arrest statistics.

The performance of a "negro spiritual" should be objectionable to no one.  What many will find objectionable its
performance as a prelude to the National Anthem which most Americans revere as an expression of their love of country, appreciation of the ideals upon which it was was founded and recognition of the bravery and sacrifice of American patriots of different ethnicities and nationalities who have defended it,  many of whom paid the ultimate price.  Performance of the Black National Anthem  before or after the traditional performance of the U.S. National Anthem suggests that the two apply separately according to one's ethnicity and not to all Americans as a unified people.  Whether or not this is intentional is immaterial.  It is sure to reenforce the "them and us" differentiation that naturally occurs between humans of different ethnicities, feed raw meat to extremists at both ends of the political spectrum and further widen the racial divide.  It's a really bad idea.
