Probably the same way SETI has been monitoring the Water Hole (1420 to 1720 MHz) since their inception.

Through what means?

Interesting. So, how would one monitor such frequencies for signs of Art?

My guess is shortwave radio, but I really have no idea on that.

2.4Ghz, spread spectrum. Cancels out interference. Not 100% infallible, but good enough for most.

I don't have the clip, but he said once said to listen for him on the "hydrogen frequency" or something like that.

And the first Google hit on this is from SETI, no less.
So Seth will be the first to hear back from Art?

Through what means?

By breaking the radio spectrum into many millions of very narrow frequency channels.

Interesting.

I'm totally ignorant on shortwave, but if anyone doesn't own a radio and cares to mess with it you can use software to do it through online radio receivers.

2.4Ghz isn't shortwave. Same frequency as microwaves, used in bluetooth and wi fi...It has limitations though. Moisture and being too close the ground can cause problems. Struggles too if it isn't in clear line of sight. Shortwave wavelength is up to about ten metres (33 feet) whereas 2.4 is 122.45 mm. (just under 5 inches) Shortwave goes from a few Mhz 1.7 up to 30Mhz. Shortwave is okay for speech, Microwave not so much.

Ah so, Art promised almost 20 years ago that after he died he would somehow prove there is life after death.
Will he communicate with someone somehow, maybe Whitley Streiber?
Someone should play that clip for Whitley...

I have been laughing out loud a lot reading BellGab over the last couple of weeks...

Through Art's death, laughter has re-entered the world, agree?

Meh...I'd rather be laughing with Art still here but I guess it's better than nothing. I hope he's laughing with us somehow.

I love this interview.  I remember it when it was first on television.  Brings back memories of why I loved listening to Art back then.

He will.

But it will be subtle.

Indeed, I loved the ending, something that stuck with me when he snapped his fingers and said "Cosmically we're around ....about that long"
