George. Or anything that validates his ego. Such as fans calling in and telling him what an awesome host/guy he is. Or his TV show. Or angels (he sees himself as one). Or the great things he does to help his poor, distraught fans.

This is exactly it. He has no real hobbies/interests, he's only into himself and his mediocrity. But this isn't uncommon, even (formerly) great broadcasters like Stern or Phil Hendrie really don't enjoy what others do, they're so self-consumed that they even can't or won't give others proper credit or attention.
