I used to be a big multiple party fan, but it occurs to me now that is antithetical to our republic. This is to say, we end up with more of a democracy instead of a republic. Mob rule could hurt the minority even more. Look at Canada or say UKIP in the UK. Groups you find odious now require only a smaller percentage of the vote to rule. This isn't to say the two shitty parties we have are worth a crap either. They lord over the population and bastardize what our founders intended.
