I have to think back a couple of decades when I first listened to Coast. The first memory I have of C2C had to be a UFO and alien show. I remember flipping through the radio dial and hearing it and thinking "what the heck is this?"

Politics / Re: Vote or die
March 26, 2015, 09:30:40 AM
I am not a fan mandatory voting, I just don't think you will get a quality result when somebody is forced to do something than somebody who wants to do something.

If you really want to encourage people to vote I would have something like ranked ballots. It would encourage more multi-party candidates (and even independents) to run without the concern of splitting the vote or having to vote for the "least worst"

As a member of a minority, let me answer this question.

Alien Abduction, Secret government, HAARP, MK ultra = White people problems

Cant find a job, girlfriends pregnant, cant afford cell phone, hungry = black/brown people problems

/thread

lol that's a pretty funny quote.

I don't think he's racists. I just don't think he stands for anything and panders to whoever who thinks is listening. If it's old white cat ladies feel, then he would fit his opinion on that. So white people protest = patriots. Black people protest = problems.  etc.

But yeah, I can't say Jorch is racist. But some of his guests on the other hand  :o The worst one has to be the guy who says popular current music is inspired by the illuminati and the devil and a bad influence. He just names a bunch black artists like JayZ and Rihanna (and Miley as his only white example) but completely ignored decades of white artists who way more obvious with their "devil pandering" and every generation "bad influence" rock stars.

The big difference for me is when I accidently fall a sleep during the Knapp show I wake up a bit upset that I missed the conclusion of the show. When I fall asleep during Noory show I consider it a blessing  :D

Noory has never written a book, he just let people use his name. Even if he did want to write a book himself, I am not sure there is a market for pizza roll pop-up books.

Yeah I do wonder how much of the context inside is Noory's writings.  But the title is pure Jorch "somebody did something" lol

#1116
I have no intentions of listening let alone contribute here tonight, but I did turn it on for about ten minute before the half way point of the show. Jorch had this brilliant quote. Let me paraphrase what Jorch "IF we have global warning, it was from natural occurrences " IF is a very big word, Noory can't even commit if it's even happening, but IF it is happening he knows exactly why it's happening. I have no idea how somebody can be so uncertain of the effect but somehow certain of the cause. lol. So Jorch can literally make both arguments about "World is cooling, look at the snow" "World is warming but it's not by human"

Quote from: Gassy Man on March 18, 2015, 12:52:57 AM
Noory keeps bringing up the tired "what do you care if you are vaccinated if someone else is not" argument -- the reality is that no vaccine is perfect, which means even some people who are vaccinated, though a small number, can come down with the disease.  Exposure to others with the disease only increases their risk.  It's not a matter of eliminating disease as reducing risk.  The more people who are vaccinated, the lower the risk for the population.

Again yesterday I just listened for only ten minutes. Again Noory just asks the same questions. They "Hey why worry who doesn't have the vaccine if you get the vaccine yourself" and he thinks that's a big gotcha question. Of course you just have to ask a legitimate doctor and a doctor will tell you the concern is that a virus can mutate in the human body and while a vaccine can fight against a virus in it's initial stages, once it mutates and gets stronger and different it's not nearly as protected. Of course I found that out when asking a doctor and not a janitor or a tailor or whoever the f*ck Jorch medical science "experts are. What the hell is with the 2% of people who take vaccine still get sick argument. So because 2 % still get sick, yet doesn't mention how many sick without taking the vaccine? This logic is absurd, it's like hearing a story of somebody still getting a cavity even though they brush regularly, does Jorch suggest never to brush your teeth *err, let's not answer, I sure he'll find a conspiracy with big toothpaste as well.

Anti-vaccine yesterday, global warming denying  today, back to back sh*tty topics. Will he have an NRA guy on tomorrow to make it a turd trifecta. PChirp has a great avatar with Jorch with a See and Say toy with about eight coast topics. That is so accurate. If you are going to repeat topics, at least make them fun topics with different spins and looks at interesting topics. Not stuff like global warming and vaccine which is just the same ol crap, with the same spin, with the same questions, the same repetitive topic.

I think you might be right regarding people pushing us to war to fulfill prophecy.  Sure there have always been wars but I think the times now are becoming at least as tense as they were during the height of the Cold War during the Kennedy administration.  One never knows when some nutcase Muslim will get ahold of a nuke and decide to set it off. At least with the Soviets, you knew they didn't really want to blow the world to pieces.  The Muslim fanatics have no such qualms.

I wasn't really around back then, but from my understanding 50 years ago we considered Commie's just as "deranged" and dangerous, and as soulless and godless people.

We need another Rocky IV vs a Russian but this time vs a middle eastern boxer with an inspirational speech "if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change". Then we can all hug it out, problem solved  :D

I do wonder at times in 50 years, at 2065, we'll have the same conversation but this time saying "You know the middle east threats weren't that scary, but these NEW aliens from the planet Zetko, now these guys are truly wacked out!!"

If you start the countdown from the year of the crucifixion and resurrection, it'll have been 2000 years around 2030-2035.  That could be the time of the Second Coming.  Then again, maybe not but the world has gotten a lot scarier in the last 15 years. Of course, I could die tomorrow or 5 minutes from now.  I was a boy scout and I have kept to the motto, Be Prepared.

I don't know if I would say the world has gotten "scarier" Wars have always been around, so has natural disasters. I think we have media platforms that makes the world know about it in an instant.

I do think there are people currently (on both sides) pushing a war in the hopes of some sort of "second coming".

True.  RCH, and a few other regulars from the classic years are a guilty pleasure of mine.  Their delivery was always perfect and made for great content.      Even if you had heard them for years and realized they were delusional?  It was the best radio.

Still is, the Hoagie from 2002 03 01 is a great example. It just sells itself.

I totally agree with this quote, I think Art on-air chemistry with Hoagland is the best. There is an obvious friendship/comfort level between the two, but when need be, Art can turn up the heat and ask a follow up and put some pressure on Hoagie and make him squirm a bit, which of course is entertaining onto itself.  ;D

As for the worst, I was never a fan when Art had "witches" on.

The more I look at it, isn't this book one of the lamest titles in history.  It's perfect NOory  with the vagueness of "someone" and "something" in the title

It reminds me of Jorch regularly going on a limb and say "something BIG is going to happen, I can feel it" Of course never going into detail of when or what.  What amazing instincts this guy has.

lol I knew this was going to catch some people attention as it did mine. I can *almost* understand if he put a date/number after Feb to shorten it (still strange) but he just mentioned the month in general and called it just "Feb" which I don't think I ever heard anybody do verbally.

How about that caller during Fitts call-in that wanted to "drag" women everywhere. "Need to drag my wife to the show" "Jorch you need to drag Catherine Fitts to a show"

That should be the motto for Noory live show, "Drag your women in, not matter if there kicking and screaming"  ;D

I thought Jorch comparing a paper cut to a guy who got burns all over his body was going to be the most memorable part of the show.

Then came the second part of the show, when whackjob religious guy said the world was never more "wicked" silly me thought of fact and realism and thought, umm dude middle east isn't great right now, but hello WW1, WW2, civil war? During recent and distant  history there have been worse wars. Even our own history, murder rates are lower,  women have more rights now, blacks have more rights, and gays are able to live more freely.

Then we get hit over the head that he thinks that gays having some rights is a "bad thing" much more "wicked" than murders. Maybe he can blame the bad weather on them as well.

Like few other people here, have to give credit where it due to Noory putting the hammer down on that crap, but not too much credit because  he did invite him on the show in the first place.

That was a really awkward guest interview, Not sure if the guest was just a bad interview, or if he was just got sick of Jorch dumb questions, because he's replies were mostly "yup" and "huh hum"

Of course Noory had to squeeze in a middle east opinion and I believe some anti-net neutrality opinion where the guest had no opinion on any of this and brushed off of the question.

How bad does it look when Jorch brags about having 600 affiliates then somebody calls up claiming they been able to get through on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday lol.

What really funny is me being really pumped for the first ST game, my team losing by half a dozen runs in the first inning and the thought of "F this team, they have no chance this season" until a calmed down an remember half of these guys playing in this ST game not even going to be around during opening day of the regular season  :D

I totally agree with what you guys are saying, I think Noory is the ultimate phoney. He will jump on whatever bandwagon or angle that he feels can relate to his audience or most profitable for him.

Look when Ron Paul was the big hip guy in the "alternative" political world,  Jorch would tell anybody who would listen how he's a big RP guy, now just a short time later Noory all about "dropping bombs" everywhere.

You can just tell when he talks about most C2C topics there just no passion or even caring about it. The only time I can hear it in his voice that he really cares about something is when talking about old TV shows he liked or old movies, or if he thinks a current "celeb" knows his name or his show.

I think Jorch would be so much happier if he was hosting an entertainment show.
#1131
I used to like Dames as a guest simply on entertainment value. But Dames turned all "emo" all of a sudden acting all depressed over the "horrors" of the future in his remote viewing. He became such a downer. Oh yeah he also got a lot of things really wrong.

He seemed so confident while informing the caller what had happened after she provided her theory.  I actually had to go do a search.  Or maybe I just misheard

I am so glad you notice that too, it threw me for a loop when he said "We got/(found) it " I had the same reaction wondering did something happened that I missed, what is he talking about, he just left it like that.

The guest did seem to cover for Jorch in saying it would be hard to hide it for that long, and it would be detected pretty quick. But still strange how Jorch said in in past tense "we got em"

As for Hoagland, Jorch gets really off in making people whom he feels are depended on him to grovel. Remember when he told LMH on air that "her services are not needed anymore" to her shock.

I will always wonder if Jorch actually believes the lies he spouts so glibly.  :P

I don't think he does. Remember not that long ago he was a big Ron Paul "supporter", you know when it was the cool think to support him. Now out of no where he wants to bomb everyone in sight. Jorch has no integrity and stands for nothing. So what is with the middle east talk. there been now two shows in a row, one about "mysteries" with female celebs and the other about space and somehow they both turned into middle east talk. Seriously WTF

Quote from: Mind Flayer Monk on February 20, 2015, 03:24:04 AM
Holy shit, Zubin wants to squeeze every tax dollar out of me he can.

You gotta love these "free market guys" wanting tax dollar/military to start wars in their behalf and I'm guessing wants NASA to go to space to see how he can personally profit from it. You know "free market" when the prices isn't want you want, stick them with tariffs and if that doesn't work, have the government bomb your foreign competition.

This guest is like a bad stereotype of an evil rightwing oilman, wanting to escalate wars for his own self business interest. Keep this a-hole away from space, with his attitude he would probably blow up a large chunk of the moon and or Mars just to see what minerals he can profit from. This guy is like a Mr. Burns character, I was fully expecting him to start saying the sun is humanity greatest foe and it should be blocked (with of course Snoory agreeing with every word) maybe that's the secret reason he wants to get to space so badly.

I just remembered a real bad guest,  he was with John Wells a couple of times but also with Noory as well. He was the guest who said most of the new music artists  is Illuminati and worship the devil and are "dangerous" and bad influence to the youth and yet somehow thinks this is a "new revelation"

Of course anybody with an inch of music knowledge knows that these claims of musicians being a dangerous or bad influence have been said about artists throughout history way back to the beginning of music.

George has graduated from saying he interviewed Hoffa to saying he knew him... And did he say something about being friends with the prince of Monaco?

Yup, he seems to gone to full Brian Williams mode (well without the charm) It went from I interviewed Hoffa to I KNEW Hoffa (I shocked this ditz even knew OF Hoffa) Now he seems to be buddies with the Prince of Monaco. A few weeks ago Jorch said he saw the new king of Saudi Arabia a while back having lunch, I am sure that will turn into them being best buddies very soon.

Jorch was in "fine form" yesterday. Wondering why people who were captured not just "Pull a Rambo" because you know there's not like a dozen guys surrounding them willing to take them out if them make a false move. Jorch also wonders why they don't see  people trying to escape (because it's not in a video it never happened) even though it's been documented that people have tried to escape just to be met with a horrible end. Let's not even talk about calmly walking the turrrrrrists out and show them a nuke in the desert.

Quote from: Major Ed Damien on February 19, 2015, 01:58:26 AM
Even though Jorch is fascinated by this subject he's still too retarded to follow the story, asking if Marilyn Monroe died in her house when they had already said several times that it all happened in her guest cottage.

There was another time during the show where the guest was talking and mentioned somebody age (I think Diana) literally the next question Jorch asked "What was her age" and the guest had to repeat what he just said seconds ago lol.

If Art was serious about making a go of it, he would do terrestrial radio + podcast it like his main competition. Otherwise it's a hobby.

Wow this quote is baffling. It actually points the opposite. The problem with the media and the genre in particular is that too many people in it view it as a job and you can tell by there work. There no passion, it's all about punching your clock and just spewing out a few hours just because it's a job to do.

The GREATS, no matter what field, could be sports, artists, music, writing, etc, have one thing in common. They do what they love. It's starts as a "hobby". Now if it becomes successful and a lot of people want to go on a ride with them, than of course that's a great bonus. But it's not done just because it's popular or it has a large spotlight, it done because there's a passion an love for the field.

It reminds me of Art's story of how he started C2C. When he was doing talk radio and was doing generic talk topics. But he felt bored of the same ol' topics so starting talking about the abnormal topics that hasn't had been talked in mainstream radio. That was a huge risk, a huge chance, the whole thing could have flopped.  But Art took a chance and pursued his "hobby" and became successful.

That was crazy, I agree with the person who said they'd love to read the transcript of it. I couldn't believe my ears during most of it.

Did I actually hear him say "I'm no homo" than proceeded to give one the most homo-erotic story I've ever heard of.

There's usually not much action on twitter during C2C but blew up during the interview with almost unanimously "What the F am I listening to" comments

I'm still not sure if Connie deserves credit or criticism for not pushing the eject button on this guest. You know for certain Noory would have his infamous "phone line problems" once the erotic orb made it's first appearance.

Yes, it could have been done better. The show apparently sucked. But at least he is trying different stuff and at least had on two semi-reasonable guest on the topic. It is more of an effort than George puts in most nights, he get some limited credit for that.

Bloom a pretty smart guy overall, even though he not a doctor he at least tried to make most sense. But even the other pro-vaccine doctor wasn't really good during the debate. When asked by Jorch if somebody has their vaccines why would it matter if somebody else didn't, wouldn't they be protected. The pro-vaccine went on a weird explanation about taking sick days or something odd like that. From my understanding is somebody is infected with measles it becomes stronger and mutated in the body and the vaccine that is almost perfect in fighting off measles in it initial stages because less effective if it was already growing in a human body an passed by a person to another. Something that wasn't ever mentioned during the entire "debate" of C2C

I never thought much of the Torah codes. I don't think I've ever seen a guest lose any shred of dignity or credibility than that guest who did the "Noory readings" That was one of the most ridiculous an pandering segments in C2C history.
#1139
So that is Noory definition of balance. 4 out of 6 (66%) being anti-vaccine guests which consists the first and last guest being on the anti-vaccine side. You know "balance".

As for the vaccines I love that so far two of the "experts" that were anti-vaccine replies with "Oh, I'm not a doctor" when asked about medical advice and details about their background and the only "doctor" so far had his licence removed.
