I've seen the glory around the shadow of an airliner I was a passenger on.  I called att'n to it to the passenger next to me, but he'd seen them before.  I probably would've seen them previously too had I known to look for them.

I've also many times seen the scary-big shadows in the fog from low-angled lighting.
