saved by roaches

they strap a computer to a roach. the computer controls the roach and has a on board microphone so it can transmit sounds. they send the roach(s) into say a building collapse to find survivors. or spy on enemies. or whatever.

How many people won't be rescued because, trapped, they either out of routine/instinct smash the roach or, if from certain cultures or in real desperate circumstance, eat the bug? Pretty amazing though. I reckon DARPA, or someone, has already weaponized this, somehow.
ps: anyone recall DECADES ago some doctor (Spanish?) who could control a bull by electrodes in the brain? Found him:
