Are you conscious of doing MITD differently (IMO better) than how you do/did C2CAM?

Of course and I have addressed that here in the forums.

There are some guests that are worth the 3 hours particularly if it is a good haunting story.  Like I remember you did 3 hours on the Demon of Brownsville Road and there were a couple other shows like that several years ago which were very, very good in the long format.  Don't rule it out in the future. Please, Dave.

I dont rule them out, as you point out I have done them. Sometimes it is the length of the book, if its 2-300 pages there may be enough meat on the bones to do 3 hours. If it 140 pages, maybe 1-2 hours.

Then I look at some of the points like the guests ability to tell a good story, if they tell me in preinterview that they dont want to give away too much about their book or movie that will weigh in on how long I keep them as well.

Hey Davey and or Mrs. Winnie, I may have missed the answer to this question, but can u tell me/us why so many shows u do if not 98% are as jorch snory used to say, tonite we have a "splissh shew fur yew."
Do the guest not want to do the 2-3 hrs?

After years of doing radio I found a few things, most guests are NOT strong enough to do 3 hours of content and remain engaging.

I also know not all topics are interesting to every listener so instead of a full disconnect with listeners if we offer a bit of variety you may not like guest 1, but stayed tuned maybe the next guest is more your cup of tea.

I would also rather leaving you want MORE from the guest than to have the guest overstay their welcome. It is a disservice to the guest and the projects they are promoting.

As we see, calls do not always pour in in a 3rd or 4th hour so I think it is better to refresh and bring on another topic.

After all, if you were out and see the topic is 3 hours long and missed the first 90-120 mins you may not be inclined to listen in, BUT if you see there is something new starting soon it gives you a chance to jump in and has a fresh point to join us.

Andrew is our 2nd guest....But if I may be so bold, I think you may really enjoy tonights show, try not to skip it.

Ha  ;D the difference is that Dave and Tim put on good shows that are enjoyable to listen to...I didn't listen to Dave last night, as I'm not into "alternative healing" topics...how was the haunted house guy in hour 3?

Well I didnt listen to your show last night either.

Dave, thanks for taking the time to talk about depression. My daughter suffers from depression and today was a hard day for her. I feel helpless in helping her through it sometimes because I'm 120 miles away from her and I don't always know what to say.

I just sent her the link to the audio/MITD page where you spoke about depression the other night.

Peace.

Bless you both.

Damn it Dave, that was amazing. I called a suicide prevention hotline once. Interestingly, I got a message that the lines were busy and to stay on hold. I put the phone down and had to laugh. It took me out of the moment. It might have been the best thing for me at that juncture. Afterwards, I dried up the tears and just rode out the storm. Great analogy.

I am glad you are still with us!

Did they forget their posts on the previous page?

I've missed 1 and a half shows. I even managed to do 2 shows while out of state at events.

Hey everyone

So it seems I have Windows 10 Updates for all my nightmares. LOL

We are back up and running after a very expensive overhaul of the systems and updates on every driver I have and new equipment that is compatible.

Again, I appreciate your patience during this very irritating hiccup in the systems and look forward to getting back on tonight's show.

No tears, no finger pointing, just an a host unsure how to keep up with all of today's technology but quickly learning.

Tidepods my friends!

When life throws you curve balls, call out PLOT CHANGE and let the Shenannigans continue.

Your pal,

Dave the Shenannigator Schrader

I am really sorry everyone, try as I might the system will not be up and running until tomorrow. We are plugging in a rerun of Bob Gimlin & Chris Fleming.

I have the full guarantee of our tech department that we will be back tomorrow, issue free.

Please except my apologies, I spent the last 7 hours troubleshooting and trying to get our system on line. My tech will be available first thing in the morning to get me broadcasting, believes it will be a quick final tweak.

I appreciate your understanding and patience. You have NO idea how irritating this whole debacle has been to me.

I guess Dave is still goofing off in Salt Lake City.  Probably stuffing himself with Spaghetti at the place he was at (Trolly).  I'm stuck with seafood today, I'm jealous.

At the airport now,

Sorry all, due to circumstances beyond our control we will run a replay in the final hour while we get the systems back on line. From my end things were going haywire. 12 years of doing this and never had these issues.

Accept my apologies and we WILL be back with a brand new show tomorrow, that is a promise.
