Just played through DCOTE, unforgiving AF, but great!

Considering giving this a go.

So have you give FO:NC a shot yet?  I've downloaded it, but I'm afraid to fire it up.  I'm behind on shit I should be doing as it is.  I'm thinking of clearing a few days off in the near future to play through it.

That's not what we are discussing perhaps you should actually learn some comprehension skills, before typing on your keyboard there old man.

Perhaps you should re-examine your logic.  You are the one who compared being hushed on a website that you do not own nor pay the operating costs to a violation of your free speech.  It is not a violation of your fee speech.  You are free to setup your own site and to post whatever the hell you want.  You are free to post on another site.  You fail to understand that your rights end right where another's rights begin.

You still haven't answered my questions.  What is "the lie"?  Do you think that Keith Rowland is behind Ellgab?

Are you a radio host?  Come on.  Use your words.

Don't ya think that is a little extreme?  Can I come to your house, piss on your coffee table, and call you every name in the book while waving my willie araound?

EllGab is more like SafeGab, the website was intended to promote MITD and it's lower life form of autistic show hosts. You could not post anything that would be deemed derogatory, or else you would be banned. ( could not make fun or criticize their hosts) It was another form of fascism, which i will never stand or promote in any kind of way. I can go even deeper and pull up real nasty dirt, but why would I?

I see why you don't like Ellgab.  Are you saying that Keith runs Ellgab?  What is "the lie"?  Did someone tell you that "No, those jeans don't make your ass look fat"?

Restricting speech on a forum is hardly fascism.  That's more like telling a guest to get out of your house if you don't like what they say.  You can disagree with their opinion, or not like.  Let's save throwing fascism out there for times when your rights are actually violated.

Thank you for posting this link!  Russian rap will keep me entertained for hours.  I don't know why some Ruski is compelled to curse in English, but it is hilarious.

Look at Mr Fancy Pants with his math!  Heather has legacy.  That trumps copyright laws.

Now that I'm more awake to think about it, I'm not sure that the guy even had the right house.  The occupants of that house are in at least their sixties, and I have never seen a motorcycle there in the roughly 10 years they've been there.

I live a quiet, small town, middle-class neighborhood.  I was awakened by what sounded like a motorcycle being revved over and over.  I jumped out of bed and stepped outside to see what the commotion was.  Parked in the neighbor's yard across the street from me is a motorcycle in the middle of the yard, making as much noise as possible.  I start walking over there.  As I get to the sidewalk on my side of the street, the bike takes off; goes to another neighbor's driveway; whips a u-turn; and comes over to me.  The guy stops right in front of me.  I said "What the fuck?  What the fuck are you doing?"  The guy sticks out his right hand and says "I'm sorry.  I don't have a problem with you".  I take his hand and say "I didn't have a problem with you until this.  What are you doing?"  He said "I'm intimidating someone."  I start pointing to all of the other houses around and said "You're creating a problem with everyone else.  Find a different method!"  He apologized again. Then he let go of my hand and rode off.

Is this some kind of biker peacocking or pissing match?

Serious question: Can someone who lives in America confirm or contradict something, please?  The limited information I have on this subject comes strictly second-hand, may be entirely wrong...and this isn't the sort of thing anyone who wants to be gainfully employed in the US can afford to get wrong.

I am saying this as an outsider looking in, but:  My understanding is that having an arrest record is a complete and utter no-no if you ever to plan to apply for a "serious" job in the US (by "serious," I mean a job that is not concerned with washing dishes or dumping garbage).  I was led to believe "have you ever been arrested" is a bog-standard question that all American employers ask and, should you answer in the affirmative, you are treated a lot differently (and not in a good way) than if you are able to answer in the negative.

(Apart from which, many, if not most, US employers will run a background check on you to confirm for themselves whether or not you have ever been arrested in an effort to keep their potential exposure to liability to a minimum.)

What I'm getting at here is: I don't think Heather fully understands what having an arrest record might mean to her future.  I do know that, in her own mind, she's going to host a podcast forever, but things do not always work out the way we thing they are going to and, frankly, I don't think she has thought this one through.

(I'm not sure she's thought about it at all, actually.)

On the other hand, I might have the wrong end of the stick, and that's okay (it would be a positive relief, in fact).  It's just that, while I enjoy poking fun at Heather, I have an uneasy feeling she is making an irretrievable mistake with this Area-51 thing in her frantic quest to "stay relevant."  The kind of mistake you look back upon years later and find yourself saying, "I wish I hadn't done that."

Is there a Yank or two who is willing to set me straight on this?

Arrests are not that big of a deal.  It is convictions that are a big deal.  You can be arrested, yet never be charged with any crime.  Felony convictions make you difficult to employ.

Not trying to be brilliant.  Just pointing out that you are as emotional as a woman going through menopause.

Regarding Art- I'm going to try another angle.  Being as we are all still concerned about Art's being an "absentee father,"  I'm going to remind people that there are far worse parents than one who is absent.  If Art was horrible as everybody is now convinced that he was, perhaps he did the right thing and recognized the harm that would be wrought on his children if he stayed?

Abusive, controlling fathers have a tendency to do more harm than one who disappears. Maybe his leaving was an act of selflessness and decency.
Perhaps we both ought to stop our attempts at dazzling Bellgab with brilliance?

You bring up a valid point.  I will counter with this: If he left for those reasons, he could have still done something like child support (which I don't recall if that was done or not) or setting up college funds for the kids.  He could have reached out to them when they were adults or near adulthood.

As far as the pedo allegations go, that's a damn serious charge to make about someone.  Bring solid proof.

Question for those of you with social media accounts:  Has anything amusing come out of the Heater camp lately, or is she still maintaining silence?

President Lincoln was a War president, he was elected for war and when the war was over he so was his life, he was also a Vampyre hunter and Zombie hunter.

So the civil war was nothing compared to what poor Trump is going through?  I don't follow your logic.

Also we do have Pride and we will not apologize for the past, we do not need some one like President like Obama who went on the apology tour.  You have a great man now a president and all of your news wants to do is tie him up with bogus stories and threats, no President in American History went through so much is so little time and has accomplished so much than Trump and he will not back down or apologize for America.

Ever heard of Abraham Lincoln?

PBS said a lot of people have decided to stop listening to his old shows. Is that just cuz he’s (now discovered to be) a creep? Or out of solidarity to Vincent? Both?

I can't speak for anyone but myself.  Once I know that someone does horrible things, I can no longer separate the work from the person.  I try to not learn about entertainer's personal lives for that reason.  I can't hear an Art Bell show now without thinking about how little respect I have for men who abandon their children, and to make matters worse, don't do everything they can to make amends when they are older and supposedly wiser.  Bill Cosby used to be my favorite comedian.  Now I my brain goes to his rape convictions when hearing his name.  On a lesser note, I haven't gone to see a Tom Cruise movie since his crazy fell out.

Thanks for the youtube link.

I know the player is embedded, but I was getting no audio from it, nor any of the alternate streams.

I can't take the double audio.  If anyone caught why Heater isn't on his network, please post a summary.

Has anyone been able to get audio from UPRN?  I'm not.

Also, from their front page:

"Words cannot describe the knowledge and wisdom found on the UPRN Radio Network....."

Must you describe them through interpretive dance?

"So the question is, for a fringe style show, would you rather the host challenge the guests with respect or just allow the story, inaccuracies and contradiction just slide?

Should the show be total escapism or entertainment with a foot still grounded in skepticism?

Just asking for a friend. ;)

DS"

Respectfully challenge please.  Don't be a dick about things, but please call out blatant uncomposted bovine feces.

Good interview.  The more I hear of Karen, the more I like her.  I hope she does write a book about her and Art.

If she signs over that $600 money order to me, she can stay in my shed for a couple of weeks. But she has to blow her nose first.

How lonely of a guy do you have to be to send some podcaster $600 and a rock?  Mike in Montana needs a woman or some sheep to herd.
