What blows me away about George is that he claims to be a "truth seeker" or just an "honest guy"...What a bunch of shit.  Yes, the work at home crap is a scam.  I wish someone would call in on open lines and ask how much commission they get per child sponsered through Children's International.  Noory tries to make it sound like Coast is giving free ads to help poor kids.  I would also like to hear someone on air put Noory on the spot and ask for every dollar donated how much actually goes to help these kids.  I would guess less than twenty cents.

Confront Noory about all this and the response would probably be "Wellllllll....That's business".  I have absolutely no respect and am disgusted by hypocrites who justify speaking out of both sides of their mouths with the excuse of "it's business". 

So...That makes it ok???

The Wanderer is correct...There is nothing else on at that hour.  Coast can boast all they want about ratings but it all simply comes down to no competition.

Fort Rock, before I finished reading your post I also guessed Bigalow.  He has the cash and you can tell during his interviews with Art that he has a lot of respect and admiration for Art.  I hope you are correct and if you are C2C will be a thing of the past.

During the mid 80's to early 90's there was always a story on 20/20 or other shows like it about these 'genius' kids who would enter college at twelve or so years old then would graduate with a four year college degree in 2 years or so, then go on to earn a masters and some a PHD or MD.   As a college grad myself I never could understand how it could be done so quickly, but anyway...What ever happened to these kid 'geniuses'?  Did they crash and burn?  Are they now successful?  How are their social skill? etc.

Have any studies been done on these kids who are now adults?  Have any books been written on the subject?

I could maybe see Noory getting booted...But the return of Art.  No way.  He is not coming back and I think it is HIS choice to not come back.

My thought about Art is this...after a certain age you realize that you won't live forever.  I'm sure Art is very comfortable financially.  He has worked hard to get what he has and is a true talent.  I think he is enjoying and making the most of his retirement.  If you were to poll others his age asking them if they would like to be retired I think the majority would say "yes".

I don't blame him for wanting to enjoy the fruits of his labor while he still can without the headaches or schedule of being a radio host or anything else for that matter.  I would absolutely do the same.

As far as money, if he would ever start to run low he could always do consulting work at his leisure and command however much money he wanted.

I doubt seriously that he will ever return to Coast to Coast.....and I don't blame him.

Not to change the topic but if what was stated earlier that Noory was planning to sue a forum for critisizing......what a joke!  There is an old saying people in glass houses.  Noory constantly bashes MDs, big pharma and anyone else not involved in natural medicine.  What people say is their opinion and they have a right to express their views.  If Noory would research his guests and topics and come to the table prepared with good pertinent questions he would probably satisfy most of his critics.  Instead he is never prepared and has the "I'll just wing it" or "Off the cuff" attitude.  He brags about all his experience yet he doesn't know to prepare for a show.

I wonder if Hughes was really as nutty as he is portrayed or written about.  I think he sensed the greedy snakes around him, especially as he got older, and is why he willed Dummar a sizeable chunk of his estate.

I'm sure Steve Jobes has plenty of 'best friends' right now also.

You may want to also check out the interview with the guy that wrote the book Citizen Hughes....I think both Art as well as George Knapp did a interview with this author.  He had a lot of info about Hughes and his corporation.  It was a great show. 

Now that the smoke has cleared on the Hughes estate for many years it would be interesting to find out who got what.  I think Hughes was surrounded by vultures.

I kinda believe the whorehouse theory....Look at Charlie Sheen.....or.....Look at me if I had the $$ those two have....or had!  I could see it happening!

Can anyone think of any hoaxes or what they think may have been hoaxes or scams that a lot of people fell for?  I have two that come to mind that I think were hoaxes.

The first is back in the late 90's when the Golden Palace Casino was receiving a lot of coverage in the news media and on talk shows by the likes of Leno and others for not only bidding big outrageous sums of $$ for wacky crap such as a haunted cane or a grilled cheese with the face of Jesus etc. etc.  Final bid by the casino would always be like $30K or something.  Anyway, people fell for it and would put anything on ebay with hopes the casino or anyone with more money than brains would bid on it.

Well I think, and have always thought it was a big hoax created by the casino to get free advertising and attention.  Think about it.  For a piece of toast with the face of Jesus on it to have a final bid of $30K or whatever it was there would have to of been at least two or more brainless people submitting bids to drive up the price as high as it got.

When Leno had reps from the casino as well as the woman selling the toast on his show I could tell it was all an act.  I think all the casino was shelling out was the commision of the 30K to ebay.....so lets say ebay gets 10% of the ending bid that would only be 3k.  The bid to the seller would never be paid because the actual seller and all the bidders WERE the casino.  Thats a hell of a deal...national news coverage and exposure on talk shows all for the sum of 3k and what ever they paid the actor who played the seller on the talk show circuit.

The second big hoax in my opinion was the Beanie Baby craze.  All the news coverage of these stuffed toys fetching thousands of $$ by so called collectors.  Sure some did pay big bucks...but that is because they fell for the initial news coverage of the original ficticious high bidders.  I think the high bid phenom was nothing more than a marketing scheme by the makers to increase sales of their crappy bean bags. 

Also they tried to portray the owner and the company as a quiet secretative guy like Willi Wonka and his chocolate factory.  Many people fell for it.  And don't forget the so called price guides found everywhere mags were sold.  In my opinion created and funded by the parent company.  Again, people took the bait and kept buying bean bags.

That was one of the best interviews Knapp has done.....love hearing interviews with people that have a story to tell.  I believe the story is true.  I heard it for a second time when it was replayed on Coast and still found it interesting.  Knapp should do another show with Dummar.

I also loved the interview Knapp did with the mafia gangster from Vegas.  Great stuff!!!

Fort Rock you are starting to sound like Hoagland by quoting your sources.  However...I hope YOUR sources are NOT full of shit.   

Just one of my biggest gripes about Ramsey is when he tells callers they have a income problem.....they "simply" need to increase their income.  He acts as though descent or high paying jobs grow on trees.  He over simplifies people's income problems and dishes out common sense answers.



I think Clark Howard has a more broader and realistic view and gives better advice than Ramsey.

Can't stand Savage.  Most of his shows are just him babbling and babbling about nothing.  Also can't stand how he will just talk in circles non stop.  I don't like the way he over emphasizes his New york accent.

He is always bitching about San Fransisco..............If its that bad MOVE!

I also can't stand his callers that call in and cower in front of him like he is some great prophet or the callers that refer to him as Doctor.  The only people that I refered as Doctor are the ones that have a MD behind their name, PHD doesn't count in my book. 

What's funny about Hoagland is that he always quotes information that he has received from a 'insider' at NASA or a 'source' from Nasa that he can't reveal.  I wonder if he just fabricates all of this or if people email him with bogus info.

Also, George doesn't write and sign his own paycheck.  I blame management for C2C's demise.

I think Noory is working on a interview with Snooki and Justen Beiber to analyze and figure out what is going on with Charlie Sheen.  He will also have a holistic and natural medicine doc on to recommend a natural remedy to fix Charlie right up.

Since this is open lines I thought I would give it a shot.  I am trying to find out the name of a movie I saw a few years ago on cable.  I only saw about ten minutes of it but here is the premise.  A high school or maybe college aged kid is accused of murdering his girlfriend and or her family...I can't remember exactly.  But he didn't do it.  There is a demon or devil that appears in his room and taunts him.  Some how the demon or devil is comming through his computer appearing in person and taunts him.  The demon is very scary looking.

The movie I think is from the 90's.

Not much to go on but like I said I only saw about ten minutes of the movie a few years ago and it scared the crap out of me. 

Would like to find the name of the movie so I can watch it.

That woman that had the so called encounter with the serialkiller/rapist has called in before.......once to George and once to Ian.  Both times she told somewhat of the same bullshit delusional story. 

There is also that nut job that said he was a horse trainer that was hired to go to Germany to work for the terrorists.....or somthing like that.  He has made it on a couple of times to relate his delusional story 2 or 3 times.

As morbid as it may sound..........Ringo or Paul.  Who do you think will outlive the other?  My guess is that Ringo will out live Paul.

I must add that I do like the Beatles music as well as all of their solo work.  When I hear music from Wings it brings me back to when I was a kid.  Great music.   

I think the music from the Beetles will still be played hundreds of years from now.
