Hi Art. Been awhile. Glad to see things going your way again. Been thru a few valley's ... me too.
Listened last night. Rose was a "trip", albeit a pleasant one. You heard in her voice the excitement a lot of us shared at the return of an old friend. What exactly makes that so? Over and above other "talk-show" host. Simple ... you have the ability to "connect" with us in a way others do not.
Yes, they ask the right questions at the right time. They can often comment on the presented material in a way that makes sense to most of us. All important of course. However, you Mr. Bell can add a dimension the others sorely lack ... namely your humanity. It's "us" ... turning inwards to look ... at us. A valuable and rare ability.
For what it's worth, a small critique of your first program. You allowed Mr. Hancock to ramble on much too long. Interesting views, perhaps. But we tune in to hear you. Not so much the guest.
IMHO you should tell your guest that this show is mainly a conversational format. "I" ask a question ... you respond relatively quickly and I'll comment or ask another question. I think Graham took a little too much airtime in his responses. Remember ... we tune in to hear YOU.
Just my thoughts from a nobody.
Live long and prosper.

I cannot believe the harsh stupid comments from members here. MV .... if you have a soul, you won't be able to lay your head on the pillow tonight and wonder what you've allowed to take place here. Friggin' shameful.

Some of you have sent me personal messages regarding my help/support for Art if he choses to return.
I have already contacted Sirius/XM to express my endorsement of an Art Bell/Coast Channel on 104. I didn't get a no.
If Art wants to merely stream, I would assist him there as well in any way I can. And lastly I still stand by my offer to him (as I did when he was first on Dark Matter) to invite him on Coast to Coast to discuss his new show, etc. I got no response to that.
I would like nothing more than for him to enjoy his career because without him, Id not be where I am today.
Ive taken many hits from you regarding the show and that's ok. We can all grow and fine tune, but to blame us for knocking Art off the air is unfounded and quite simply inaccurate. We were coming back to Sirius/XM regardless of whether Art quit or stayed.
If he emails me and wants some assistance, Ill be there for him.
Any other issues, Id gladly address once MV decides to put me on the coastgab podcast.
Until then keep up the fight.
GN

Mr. Noory, that is a damn fine post! Truly decent of you. Mr. Bell has always been quite considerate of you in the past .... even though you've taken quite a few hits from us in the past (me included). I truly miss Art ... but it is what it is. Thank you for your time and consideration in this "F' upt. matter. Peace to you and yours. Afixer

Well folks .... it appears this site has run it's course. I'm done. Too bad all the small minded members here have driven Art off the air. Yeah ... in no small part you numbskulls added to the demise of the thing you loved .... DM. Have a nice life. I'll see you in Hell. Peace    Afixer

Here ya' go George. If you inherit C2C ... and it appears you have ... (simply being in the right place at the right time) you know as well as we All do ... it was Art man, that got you in.
What sets him apart from you? He "fuckin' listens to what's being said. Sadly you don't.
Listen to some of your old shows. A guest will  make the wildest of claims and you'll shoot back some "off-the-wall" remark that is condescending and inappropriate to what has been stated. It drives us mad! Shit man! Do the world a favor and get hold of yourself. It's as though you're formulating your next question while the guest is still expounding with no concern what he/she is stating. Damn homey. Do yourself (and us) a big fat favor and listen to a few old Art Bell shows and see how it's done. There's a reason why we all think you suck. No offence George. Kinda.

Damn Art. Forget the naysayers here for a minute. Late at night ... when I'm trying to put all the bullshit of the day behind me ... I reach out for something that's real. Or at least I hope it is. That something has been you for a couple a decades or more. You put out a radio show that challenges us to listen to something nobody else has the 'balls" to come up with. I know your getting on in years. Yeah ... me too! But with all the crappy programming out there ... I cannot do what you do ... wish I  could but I can't. In life ... it's all about what we can do ... and what we cannot. You are (for better or worse) "The Man". Make it happen my brother. Make it happen. Peace. Afixer

Years ago ... I remember Art giving a "call-out" for a real caldron stirring witch. He got Evelyn Paglini. What a serious set of radio shows that produced. Remember Malachi Martin? Fuckin' riveting. (excuse the expletive). No ... I mean "NO" radio show has even come close!
George ... PA-LEASE!!! Damn Art. You gotta' know it's on your shoulders. Life? It ain't a dress rehearsal. Kick some butt my brother. Work it out and come back!

George Noory is no ordinary talk show host, not just because Coast to Coast AM is the dominant live all-night show in America today, but because George is a true radio fanatic, the ultimate "new media" personality.

So what he would he have to do to cross the line for you, and start owing us?

I renewed my Sirius subscription (like a lot of you here) to listen to Art's new show. In life you place your bet and take your chances. Who said life's always fair? I'm sorry to say this website is pretty much a microcosm of what our society has reduced itself to. Petty and self-serving.

"Welcome to Dreamland ... A program dedicated to an examination of area's in the human experience not easily nor neatly put in a box. Things seen at the edge of vision, awakening a part of the mind as yet not mapped and yet things every bit as real as the air we breathe but don't see ... this is Dreamland".  Thanks Mr. Bell for taking us places we otherwise would have never gone. You don't owe anybody a damn thing ... we owe you. Peace.  Afixer

Almost to the end of this show â€" WTF? â€" WAS EVERYONE SNORTING COKE OR COMING DOWN WITH CAPTAIN TRIPS LAST NIGHT? As you can tell, these gawd-damn sniffers are bugging the BEEJEEEEEEZUS out of me. And God bless Art for telling some of these people to get to the friggin' point.

When I was waaaaaaaaay younger, my brother and I would sit up and listen to the Ghost-to-Ghost shows with much anticipation and excitement. The stories seemed scarier back then, but maybe it's because we were young. There was none of this "I had a dream that I got sucked up into an electric socket" stuff.

The grandmother with the granddaughter who was seeing dark shadow people playing with the neighbor's baby freaked me out. I feel like Art cut her off before she got to the end though. And I'm not a parent, but I'm pretty sure if a child is terrified of something, the parent/grandparent isn't supposed to go "OH MY GAWWWWWWWD THAT'S SCARY GET IN THE CAR LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!" and peel down the street or whatever. Probably did not help the years of therapy that kid's gonna need.  ;D

Remember ... it's a new audience listening to Sirius now. Maybe it will take a few years to produce the quality callers we all remember from the old "Ghost to Ghost" shows.

In the end of his statement re the streaming Art says that they are hoping to be able to free stream. Then he says it again with accent on the word hoping.  He Says "That's what we're hoping for."  Sounds like a wish to me and not so much a demand.  I figure he'll just carry on and finish his contract if it doesn't come to pass.

I truly hope so. Arts offering up some programming you cannot find easily anywhere else in a format that only Art can serve up properly. Long live 'The King"!

You can find the "genre" on your FM radio, and sometimes an artist you like comes on...but with Sirius, they have a whole other market, for sports, and specific limited run events/channels devoted to a wide range of genres as well and specific artists.  I get both sides of the argument, just feel that peeps are overtly stressing their belief that the free version offered is going to become their exclusive way to listen.  It's only a live show....what if the quality is diminished down from 64kbs to 24kbs...(I KNOW I KNOW Some people just don't care, but for me it makes my ears ring, and I won't listen to a cheaper version just because it's free)

True. I really enjoy the 70's station. It plays songs from my era that I haven't heard in forty years. But ... for a hundred and some bucks a year I can live without it. I'm just sayin'.

Last year I bought a new Dodge Voyager minivan. It came with a free year subscription to Sirius.
To be honest, Sirius was nice but I could find what I wanted to listen to over regular FM stations so I planned to let the subscription run out and not renew it. But ... when I learned Art was coming back on Air I decided to renew my yearly subscription and download the apt to allow me to listen to his nightly broadcast on my home PC. I haven't missed a show. Thing is ... if I can get it for free I will. I'm quite sure Sirius executives realize this as well. Be careful where thou tread Art. It's a business. You know that my Brother. Peace. Afixer
P.S. Paranormal? I'm not one to actually 'call-in". But years ago ... my wife, her mom and a close friend were thrown out of their chairs ... pinned against a wall and nearly suffocated to death while using a Quija board.

Thanks Art... great show! This is too real! We can only fantasize about the paranormal ... but nuclear plants are the real deal.  Kept under control they are life savers. Out of control they are life enders. You are 'The Man" Art. A lone voice crying out in the wilderness. For what it's worth my Brother ... please keep on keeping on. Peace to you and yours. Afixer

After that diatribe you think WE are the ones that need to lighten up?  ???

Yes, I am a Bell listener since the early '90's and I support him 100%. No, I don't want his show to be political at all, and NO, I don't need EVERY guest to be like Dr. Kaku (just as an example). That said, I also don't want his show to be 100% kooks, scammers, and charlatans, and sadly, we've had a great deal of that in the time the show has been on Sirius/XM. I agree with you in every way, the show is still more entertaining than almost anything on radio today, but that doesn't mean it can't be better, and it doesn't mean it has to have fringe lunatics on, multiple times a week. Art is one of the few hosts that can carry a show without a lot of input from guests, but I find him more engaging when he's dealing with credible folks. Maybe that is why I want more of that.

Actually I agree. I think Art has lessened his pre-screen abilities in lieu of programming, and needs to take more of an "up front" seat in screening potential guest. That English dude last night was a complete dud. Sheet happens. But the night before was completely enthralling. Keep on keeping on ... my Brother!

The problem is, how much anecdotal "friend of a friend of a friend told me this in 1958" stuff can you tolerate? At some point, you kind of need some meat on the subject, not just tidbits and old quotes. This is where so many of Art's guests fail. Personally, I don't mind the UFO/ET show's, but they all end up with too many people saying virtually the same thing, and if you're a natural UFO/visitation skeptic, like I am and everyone with a rational mind should be, if you can't produce anything more than, "I was told by someone", then I just quickly lose interest. Theories and hypothesis are fine, laugh out loud claims that aren't substantiated in even the slightest way, get old, and I think last night Art had enough of it.

Here it is... from somebody who has tuned into Art from the ol' days. What-da-ya' want? Same old same old politic Bullshit? Art's offering something else. The fringe ... sure. Some B.S. ... yeah.
But it's still more entertaining  then the "run of the mill" crap you'll hear everywhere else.
I don't post here often because (no offense) most here are childless morans who seemingly enjoy seeing their useless rants in print over an intelligent discussion of what is real. I truly hope some of you old timers will see the err of you ways and lighten up a bit. Peace. Afixer

I certainly mean no harm ... but you guys need to reel yourselves in a bit. Damn., Arts Back!

*YAAAAAAWWWWWNN* *smacksmacksmack*

What have I missed? I found tonight that I suffer from BTDS. Also known as "Bored As F%$# Syndrome", it's symptoms are involuntary lassitude and ultimately a suspension of consciousness. It is brought on by having been awake immediately prior for periods more than 18 hours, but also by more than 1 hour of listening to a puffed up arrogant fraud known as Richard Hoagland.

No shit, I dropped out on the original play at about 1 1/2 hrs in, woke about the same spot on the replay, and immediately went out again until now. I see I have missed.....not a damn thing.

Same for me ... exactly. Art needs to step things up with a fresh take on things. Me thinks he's relying on the past too much. Too bad.
