The UK is getting as litigious as the States was twenty years ago..Manufacturers and the shops alike are doing stuff to cover their asses.. Just as McDonalds has to warn everyone the coffee in their cup is hot...Or car manufacturers have to warn that you still have to sit behind the wheel with cruise control on...Yep, it is silly, but some lawyer somewhere would make sure such if such ass covering hadn't been put in place, there'd be a big payout coming.

What a pity that firearms don't have such warnings eh? Oh wait...Guns don't kill people.. According to some official down in TX the reason the last shooting that killed 10 and injured another 10 was because of doors in the school..Too many of them apparently.. Who knew?  ::)

While it’s true that the U.S. has a large number of lawsuits crowding its courts each year, it barely cracks the Top 5 of most litigious countries in the world. 

In his book, “Exploring Global Landscapes of Litigation,” Christian Wollschlager notes that the litigation rates per 1,000 people shows that European nations top the list of the world’s most litigious countries.

Here is a list of the top 5 most litigious countries by capita:

Germany: 123.2/1,000
Sweden: 111.2/1,000
Israel: 96.8/1,000
Austria: 95.9/1,000
U.S.: 74.5/1,000
The Top 10 also includes the UK (64.4); Denmark (62.5); Hungary (52.4); Portugal (40.7); and France (40.3).

Hey if you think fire escape doors should be locked feel free to be in a burning building...But I think others might say otherwise, especially fire crews.

Along the same lines, Spooky Tim said a while ago he had some thoughts on the psychology of paranormal guests I'd enjoy hearing.  I'm thinking he might not want to say them on his show, but something like the Gabcast might be fun.
