I’ll create a third thread...

Are 3 needed? It's MITD, not RATT.

LOL, I did hate Nashville but I'll give Altman another chance.  I don't have Short Cuts though.  I was either going to watch MASH or McCabe and Mrs. Miller next.  MASH would probably be a safer choice as I enjoyed the TV show.  Thanks for the recommendation!

The only Altman film I had seen prior to Nashville was Popeye and I saw that one at the movie theater.  It was a very weird experience.

I saw Popeye in the theater too. I remember being bored shitless, anxious, and falling asleep all at the same time.

I was gonna comment on your post in the other thread a few weeks ago but I get caught up in work then become scrambled and forget to post. Then Art died and reading the forum became an actual challenge.

I haven't seen MASH, I could never stand the show, especially that damn theme song. I'm not sure I could do it. I have only seen 3-4 of Altman's movies and they were hit/miss and mostly miss, but I do love Short Cuts it is one of my favorites.

Howdy Dave!  ;D I was pondering whether to watch a horror flick or listen to the show.  Tonight is definitely my cuppa tea though so I'll imagine I'll wait until tomorrow night to watch Chiller Double Thriller.

I know you hated Nashville but if you gave Short Cuts a chance you might be happy.

It is the VAN ALLEN BELTS. NOT VAN RYAN.

George would have called it the Van Halen belt.

I have an old windows phone you can have. Don’t remember the model but it was one with an integrated hardware keyboard the either swiveled out or slid out if I remember correctly.

I wonder if I would be violating any ITAR export bans or maybe even violating historical artifact preservation statutes.

Do you want me to dig for it and find a model #?

I got a battery replacement about a year ago, i found a whole new phone in box for less than a couple packs of cigs. It was buried in some unit in the middle of some remote industrial park in the ass end of space... one of those places that has a millions kinds of obsolete things that nobody wanted and are still NIB but 5-10 years old. I could replace the phone and go back to android, bit 2-3 hour battery is not funny. Neither is a barbecue in one's pocket.

why have a website if your not going to update it?

#HeatherCoastGuard

Don't even have a website unless it's complete and also contains substance.

No need for under construction notices. If anything, leave a simple cryptic message on the index page while you are pulling the rest of it together. No need to build a mockup for public display, that is a silly thing to do.

OMG, you're the other person still using a windows phone! Egads! Mine simply will not die. I replaced the battery myself, and the mini-usb plug, and now I fear it will live forever! Ok, so emails load slowly, some websites won't load, and many newer apps are not available for windows phone (gee, I wonder why?), but oh well. I did have to get an inexpensive LG android phone just to use an app our big area hospital uses to track patients real-time during surgery and after (awesome), including a very helpful gps/map system for the hospital interior itself (find the cafeteria? Not so easy... app helped!) when my other half had a successful surgery there.

Ok, so the radar works better, email loads like a dream, everything works better, even dropbox works... but I, troglodyte that I am, still haven't switched over. Just deleted hokey ghost radar app on LG phone as I needed more space <g>. Ah well.

I had to get a new battery last summer. I dropped my phone one day and the back popped off, the battery shot out as it usually does when ot hits the floor, and the battery went through the same portal as a Malaysian airliner. Just vanished. So I had to get another windows phone just so I could have the battery. But the new one was locked so I still use my old one which has no corners left, has a broken backplate, and cracked screen shaped like a peace symbol. Its the most abused looking datamining device that I have ever used.

I typically use Opera Mini for Internet. Good data savings and faster loadtimes. Some sites do not work. Some sites with logins won't let me press a login button. Like reverb and kijiji which I use often and are worthless when not logged in. Both sites used to work fine until last summer.

App development stopped before I even owned this POS.

On the iPad. All other gifs work fine but that one. Weird.

I think one of my PC browsers pulls the same shite with giphy stuff. It just shows a blank template of nothingness. Originally Compuserve wanted users to have licenses for gif usage. No license, no GIF... I don't remember the exact details.

Me too.

They worked on my old android. I have been using a windows phone for 3 years. Totally incompatible piece of shit but the battery lasts a week. I have dropped it over 500 times and will use it until it bricks itself or malfunctions somehow.

The OSOM thread has over 3800 pages...the most on BG...Haogie manages to turn BG detractors into fans.

For a time there might have been more of a followship of RCH on BG than there ever was for Art or HLW. Eventually RCH alienated his listeners and many bellgabbers who only gave a microcleese of a shit shite in the first place quit subscribing to his condescending bullshittery. The arrogance of the guy made a lot of people lose interest in his mostly full of shit show. Ultimately his Ferris Beullering and station-carrier abandonments cost him the last of his listeners on here. There used to be a full house in his thread after Art quit. The meming and commentary among Bellgabbers during his live shows chock full of BRAAPZ were some classic moments in recent Bellgab history.

For a time RCH's core audience was Bellgab.

Some people suspect the arrogant, lazy drunk may also be addicted to drugs and porno. He calls in sick atleast once every 2-3 shows, often disappearing totally for a week or more. Then re-emerging with no explanation other than being 'under the weather'. People suspect he was kicked out of Robin's Juicy Red Cuckpalace (not to be confused with the Cuckshed in Nevada).

People used to get along great in the Other Side of Horseshit thread, but some members started getting into political debates in other threads and the Peanut Gallery of 19.5 forever had a schizm.

On Hoagland's show they would often have imaging panels. Sometimes you would hear bongwater in action on somebody's mic. It was like a poker game except instead of playing cards, they were talking about coconut trees on M.A.R.R.S. while getting irresponsibly hammered on booze while also smoking tons of pot and probably doing some other kinds of drugs too. All this while being live on the air. One guy was even cut off at the bar midway through the show. Richard just let the guy ramble for about 45 minutes until he passed out while talking.

Coconaut ballz.
