Jackstar,

You nominated me for 2017 Bellgabber of the year and I didn't win.  Was it Russian collusion?

I caught part of the program last night during open lines and heard Noory say emphatically, "I probably know more about teeth than most living humans!"  You know...because of his two years spent in a pre-dental program nearly 50 years ago.  Nonetheless he made me laugh.  "...most living humans."  ;D  Does he know more than those that are not human though?  Not sure.

Didn't we already start all this in a Hoagie thread?  It was easy to get off topic at times.   ;D

Oh, you'll come across it after a while. As a courtesy, I don't wanna spoil the research.

Understood.  I am driven by a thirst for knowledge.  Well not really 'driven' per se, but slightly motivated to make an attempt.

I was actually thinking of ShayP while I was on the shitter this morning, for reasons which shall remain mysterious, but after washing up, I just plumb forgot to come here and post pictures of Mister Rogers.

But this worked out better for everyone. Welcome back! Please vote on my topic!

I don't listen to it.  I can't take more than about 45 seconds of her faux Art Bell delivery.  It's the most creepy, awkward, cringe inducing thing I've ever heard, EVER.  I wish I could go back in time to visit with the Heather Wade (Redacted) of five years ago and play a clip of it for her.  I think she's a terrible person who is devoid of talent and riddled with poorly concealed self hatred and feelings of inadequacy.  Her attempts at hiding the pain with an outward veneer of confidence are too much for me to take.  So fake.  I've never heard a more disingenuous presentation.

Pretty accurate synopsis.

Ian Punnett

GUESTS:  William J. Birnes, Open Lines

Hedy Lamarr was one of the most beautiful actresses of the 1930s and 40s, but many are unaware of her inventions that were the basis for cell phone and Bluetooth technology. Lamarr expert and researcher Bill Birnes joins Ian Punnett to discuss the two Lamarrs - the glamour icon whose ravishing visage was the inspiration for Snow White, and a technological trailblazer who perfected a secure radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes during WWII. Followed by Open Lines in the latter half.

I dig Hedy Lamarr.  My kinda lady.  8)

But he really wants a Hollywood Walk of Fame or Emmy or something. A big Hollywood star. Or maybe a five-star Michelin rating on his Marrakesh British-empire themed restaurant. Nobody is even posting shows on youtube or anonymous torrents anymore of the "Hall of Famer" Norry, so I haven't listened in a week.

You are right!  The Walk of Fame.  LOL!  He does have delusions of grandeur., but he's working on it.  Maybe he should be in a movie.  Why hasn't he been casted?

Much love to the old local chapter of the Pagans.  (Pittsburgh...circa 1982)  Regardless of their extracurricular activities, nobody came to my neighborhood to commit any crimes.  The police didn't even show up unless there was an absolute emergency.

Good Catholic kid Norry who can't talk S-E-X,even very bland, normal stuff, or as related in religious texts on C2C- because it is a 'family show.' Wonder what mommy thinks about his sexual views and claims of dating "lotsa women"? Just pandering to the zeitgeist since he wants to ingrain himself in LA/Hollywood? Regardless of his views, or anyones, the "live and let leave" or "do what you wanna do," "if it feels good do it" is not a Christian, or Catholic or most mainstream religion, or moral philosophical (historically,) doctrines but more of a nebulous new-agey theory. Though he does throw in a "if you are not hurting anyone," so I guess that is his out? Divorces or cheating doesn't hurt people? Diseases can't be spread and doesn't hurt people?....

Hey man...what does it matter?  He's eligible for the Hall of Fame.

Bahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!  ;D

Seems to be a thing.  Usually they'll pick a typical English handle to go by: Grace, David or whatever.
This group has lots of personality - there's a Dragon, a Unicorn and a Skyman.

Well good luck man.  That's out of my scope, and I think I couldn't handle that shit.  "Hello, I'm Unicorn."  What!??  I really couldn't deal with it.

If Liechtenstein versus Uzbekistan gets you all hot and bothered, then more power to you.

Me?  I've got shit to do.............

Yep...to each his own.

LOL!  You don't have shit to do.  If you did you wouldn't post in a thread that you don't care about.

By the way Uzbekistan is 95 in the FIFA rankings and Liechtenstein are at 190, however they seem to be on an upswing.   :D

Looks like there should be a rule that sidelined injured players returning to the pitch should be allowed back on during the next available stoppage, like they do when a substitution is being made, or when a ball goes out of play.  According to the rules, a referee is 'advised' to allow the return of a player at a time where it would not favor either team.  According to the following article, the play was at a point where it wouldn't have favored anyone by allowing the Senegalese player to return but seconds later the play developed where it was a great advantage to the Senegalese players, but the ref couldn't have known what play was coming up, so he shouldn't be at fault.  I saw the goal, (but not the game) and what in heaven's name was the Poland goalie doing so far out of his box?  I've never seen a good end come from a goalie doing that.

Oh, here's that article, Shay.  It probably explains it better than I can.   :)  https://sports.yahoo.com/senegal-scores-2018-world-cups-bizarre-controversial-goal-vs-poland-video-164836351.html

Thanks Rix!  8)  Here's what stands out most from the article...

There is no specific protocol in the relevant section of the rulebook for when a ref should or shouldn’t allow an injured player to re-enter the field.

That just seems asinine, and gives the ref an opportunity to favor one team or another.  It just seems wrong.  Anyway, I think the keeper saw the change and wanted to get to the ball before the player did.  He saw the defense didn't recognize it.  I'm not sure I blame him for that.  It was clear that there was confusion and the defense was on their heels.  It still looked like the player coming in was offsides from the start.  :-\

After all these years, this just occurred to me.  Maybe the contract is extended for so many years, but the PremRats keep an escape clause in the contract that they can choose NOT to renew the contract every six months.  They would review it and make a decision.  That is why a new announcement is issued every six months.

What Norry is announcing is that they have just decided not to fire him after their six month review.

LOL!  Seems plausible.

Oh!  Does anyone besides me think that the Senegal goal was bullshit?  Why did the referee allow the substitute player to come in at that time of the attack and behind the defense?  I think Poland got robbed.

Belgium for all their talent seems hollow to me.  I can't put my finger on it but I have no faith in them advancing passed the round of 16.

The Japan win was a huge surprise to me.  I know it's early but I felt that Colombia could be a sleeper and get hot as the matches go on.

I picked England in my final four even though I was wary.  There is something about their formation and tactics that is different than past versions of the club.  I think they will continue to surprise and Kane will most likely win the Golden Boot.

Russia will come down to earth for sure.  Best case they surprise and get to the final 8, but that is doubtful in my opinion.  The won't keep up this offensive pace.
