An early report was that this guy had an argument earlier at the x-mas party (oops, holiday party) and returned with his two cohorts.  A witness identified him and, supposedly, family members let the name out without going through law enforcement.  Word was L.E. wanted to contain that for some unknown reason...  Yeah, right.

Apparently, he went on Paternity leave and it was a contentious situation back in June (I think I heard that).   A lot of people left the department because of bad management, so nothing out of line with the rest of the office.

The "terrorist" factor is the story of his returning "ready to rumble," like he went there to blow some steam and then kill 'em all.

Again, has it verified that he was one of the two suspects who were dead?

Yep. Listen to the authorities on the ground who said the active shooter nutjob, a "self-identified women," according to the documents he filed in Colorado on the voting rolls, was an ongoing situation and wasn't not confirmed as to motive. And they still haven't done so (twitter and media has, of course.) And it ended, relatively quickly, thankfully, where as this is still (maybe) going on? But feel free to start threads.

I agree.  This was pre-planned.  He and his fucker friends had this all worked out.  He attended the party to make sure it was on, who was attending, the whole lay of the land etc.  In other words, he wanted to make sure of what was going on exactly prior to leaving and returning with his gang to do the killing.  A real charmer.

The red area is the site of the shooting.

The building just below that is a school for the blind.  A large group of blind people were in there and they heard the shooting and had no idea what to do.  That's horrible.

If it were me as the shooter, I'd've shot up the red bldg., then gone into the school for the blind & pretended to be one of them.

Like Art said, this was a soft target. Massive amounts of LE personnel were summoned there and not available for other areas, or were at least were some distance away.

So far no other attack, attack on first responders, maybe some booby-traps but not clear, and no robberies. So while planned not a grander plan, I hope. Bad enough.

You know, you have to wonder about that. ISIS is known for just going way over the top with their attacks, burning pilots alive, beheadings etc. Perhaps attacking an organization that deals with disabled people fits that model. Not sure, just tossing it out there.

So even if not a "false-flag," doubt it was, is this over-training and fake-drills making people actually more likely to be victims?
