I have a friend from high school, who swears that one night he and his brother where driving down a backroad at night (in Texas) and claim that a flying insect-like man flew out in front of them, almost causing them to go crashing into a ditch. He told me this story about 13 years ago. Very good friend, no reason to lie/fabricate a story to impress me.

I've seen a pterodactyl in Texas some years ago. It was a late night and post hunt and "etc" for many hours but I thought I saw it. Friends claim it was a sandhill crane and "way moon light and yer fucked up" but, to me it it was friggin huge and only I saw it because I was outside and then came in to tell others. Haha.

My college training is in Zoology. These guy's are full of shit. Bigfoot probably doesn't exist. There's no pteranodons flying around in Mexico. Would it be cool? Yes. Would any of the claims to the contrary stand up under serious scrutiny? No. Have weird-assed creatures lived? Yes. Could Conan the Barbarian beat up your Dad? Yes. Attaching "zoologist" post "Crypto" needs to be changed to Zoological Speculation. To holotype a new species, you need a real example of the species. They just don't ever have it.
