How about "the kill shot" with Ed Dames?

I thought that was Steve Carell?

What a great, if painful, movie.  I get on British Imperial kicks now and then (I long to visit the Vale of the White Horse and play Tom Brown).  I recently watched that and Zulu togetherGood times, but easy for me to say.

Haha, same here (Luv Ya Netflix!!). Breaker Morant is so awesome but so sad.  Looking forward to watching Zulu Dawn soon, but I fear it won't live up to my expectations.

And Come and See is an AMAZING movie.  Good list you got going Sardondi.  There aren't many high quality movies I wouldn't watch multiple times, but honestly The Wrestler might be one of them.  Great movie but just depressing as all hell.  Sometimes it sucks to have a natural inclination to root for a certain character/s.

And yeah, The Road is in there too.

I have to strongly disagree with that lol, the SNES had to have some of the best games ever created i.e. Contra 3, Super Castlevania IV, Donkey Kong Country, Final Fantesy 3 , Earth Worm Jim, Super Mario world, Star fox, Super Metroid...need I go on.

You could go on if you wished.  Sega had Earthworm Jim too and better sports games, but I will definitely give you Starfox (So awesome -"Andross has ordered us to take you down!"), and I loved Pilot Wings and the TOp Gear racers as well.  As for the others, I had mostly grown passed the majority of NES sequels, or hadn't got into FF's in a big way yet.  Metroid is IMO one of the most overrated franchises in vg history.  And I didn't like res and colours in many SNES games, and hated the joysticks.  But I hopped back on board full time when the 64 came out (ROGUE SQUADRON FTW!!!).

To be honest, I was out partying most of the time during the SNES' heyday, and when I wasn't I was at my place or some friends house, with a group of high school buddies, playing various NHL's, BasketBall, or Joe Montana/John Madden (but mostly NHL's) on the Genesis(Echo the Dolphin!!!).

You're a lucky shit to have that game in that condition, that's for sure. Currently missing that gen as I probably smashed my Genesis or something, and thought the SUperN blew donkey balls (aside from a few games - Chronotrigger).  Atari, NES, N64, DreamCast, PS1 & 2.  I might have an Intellivision somewhere.  Other than the Dreamcast (Shenmue, Original UFC game) I never pull anything out because I just end up making a mess that I don't want to clean up.  It's just easier to play those old games on the PC now.

Just listening to the stream and have been reminded for Nth time how much of a witty genius Art could be with his choices of bumper music.  Talking with his guest about abductions by greys, and how they are related to reproduction, and how many abductees relate some sort of sexual aspect to the seduction.  Going to break: Silly Love Songs. Coming back from break: Betty Davis Eyes.

Fucking. Classic. Hilarity.

I hereby give a ringing endorsement to the Walking Dead game. So well thought out, designed, maintains your interest and your high blood pressure. Also very useful while you're waiting for fresh episodes of the TV show to air.

It's awesome.  I'm hoping that Activisions TV-version based game will be nearly as good.  But it probably won't.

It really is. Steroid freak moron music, "let's pump iron and rage out, dude"! I'd rather have fountain pens kicked into my eardrums. Also related to "mall metal" from the likes of Pantera. These shitty bands in the 90's like White Zombie are why I stopped being a headbanger, at least in modern terms.

Rap metal is for white kids who don't realize they're whiggers. It's 99% rap, 1% metal.

One of the worst aspects of the UFC.

What I don’t understand about zombies is, if their digestive track no longer functions,
what compels them to eat? I could see biting someone to transfer the virus, as with rabies, but
why do they eat?
I guess it could be some strong remaining primal force/habit, but then why do they not sleep or have sex? Or do they? Or do they eat to make up for lack of it? Or simply have nothing better to do other than shuffling around.
And, since they cannot digest, wouldn’t their stomachs just fill up and they would burst, since they can’t poop?
Maybe they eat the flesh of the living, to try and become the living.

Also, I would have thought that when Axel (in this last episode) was being continually shot, why no bullets went through him, and hit Carol? And with all the machine gun fire and bullets flying every which way, it seems only Axel and the guy in the tower were hit.

The ‘walking dead’ is actually supposed to refer to those still living.

I'm thinking it's a combo of a virus transmission mechanism and a super base rage driven instinct to fight and destroy, triggered by something about humans that reminds some part of the zombie brain/virus what it/it's host was and makes them/it rail against their current condition.  With a lack of self-reflection ability, the instinct is to eradicate the factor causing the disturbance.

As for the eating, everyone knows killing and slaughter makes for hungry work.  Add to that the soothing and satisfying effect the act of chewing, various textures no less. Pork cracklings, jello, beef jerky, blood pudding/sausage.

For the bullets, it all depends on calibers, distances, trajectories, type of clothing and other obstacles, etc. Basic ballistics.  And maybe more importantly, the power of the writers pen.

Tonight's episode had me worried that it would only be redeemed by Darryl appearances.  Far too much Andrea and her Miss-Piggy complected puffy face for my taste.  However, my patience was rewarded by the Governor's storming in the last five minutes.  (I also did not anticipate the death of poor Oscar, although I should have considering he had over two lines.  I'd have foreseen it if he'd been black.)

I'll definitely watch next week.

Hey! I see it!  I like it!  Good call.

Would it be considered a holistic medicinal practice if you are using it for sleep therapy?  If so, is it still a ritual?

Will it shock anyone - anyone - when the D's insist Rubio isn't eligible because he wasn't born to two parents that were US citizens at the time, and for the Media to begin a campaign to convince everyone he is thus not a 'Natural Born Citizen'?

And what about Nikki Haley - were her parents US citizens at the time of her birth?

I guarantee the shameless Left will pound away on this, get court injunctions, have various states disallow them on ballots, etc.  Absolutely guarantee it.

I wouldn't put anything past those pansy ass commie white knights.

P.S. - I just hope they put in ANYBODY who can beat a dem.

Men do NOT care about women.  They care about sex, period.  If they seem like they care, they only care about sex with you.  Stop needing a man to care and care for yourself.  Long, hot bubble baths, self massage, or go and pay for one, work out time, down time to play with your kitty, or dog, a lovely meal, that you prepared for YOU and masturbation.  Now, that's love xoxoxo

I like the psychological aspect of TWD, but how long they can continue to keep it interesting and fresh, while not getting into repetitive plots remains to be seen.
I was disappointed in the midseason premiere.

If they truly decide to focus on the impact the environment and situation plays on the group, it could stay taught and tense forever.  If they decide to jump the shark by thinking they are creative geniuses and head down the oh-so-never-travelled  ::) road of the soap opera a la human drama as the centerpiece with the events that created the situation they are in reserved as an afterthought or a plot driving tool, then it's doomed.

Without the zombie apocalypse, TWD is just another played out prime-time soap clone which nobody would watch.

I still like it, but I see where you are coming from.  It's walking that fine line between the greatness it started out as and a SyFy B-Series starring Casper Van Dien, Antonio Sabato jr, & one of those Hemingway broads - especially that moment with Andrea.

Farrah was much hotter in 77

Fair Point, but she didn't have the look I liked in Blondes in the 70's.  For the kind of look she was rockin', she was too Hollywood and not enough San Diego.  But she was hot, and her nipples were like an inch to an inch and half long.  That a point to a point and a half right there.

She's a classic middling cow being made to appear pretty and ending up a prize cow.  She would have been hotter 50 or more years ago.  In this day and age, 3's can appear to become 7's - don't be fooled.

With ya on that one. She's barely making the Denny's mark with the full arsenal of tools to boot.

I find it somewhat intriguing how so many people are incapable of truly recognizing irony. The first sentence was more tongue-in-cheek than anything else - I was going for the laugh with the asshole slamming shut. Oh well, different senses of humor.

See how diverse I am by recognizing that? Or by saying that, does that make me even more non-PC? And 'round and 'round we go.

For the record, I got a chuckle from both posts.

I come from white trash. Lots of dopers and alcoholics do recover. Black gang banging raping drug dealers will be there no matter what kind of service will or wont be mandatory.
I get your meaning. I dunno, maybe we shoot them all. Maybe if structure and a sense of purpose could be taught to some ne'er-do-wells there might be a different variation of outsider antisocial behavior... yeah probably not. I am not sure how less than 3 percent of the US population (according to the Bureau of Justice) should be factored into a discussion about mandatory civil service. I would offer that perhaps it may be a positive experience... then again maybe not.

I'm pro-choice, and pro-gun.  I back the death penalty, but think it should be used mainly for white collar crimes.  I believe in social programs (welfare etc), but believe that those who abuse the system should be hung publicly. On Wednesday nights......that would really break up the week nicely.

I'm not sure, where does this stance put me?

Young Randy Quaid: I just don't think of Chinese people as being gays
Coyle: Well, Ho Chi Minh banned homosexuality there in like 1835. So that may explain...
Young Randy Quaid:  Yeah, so they come here to be gay
Coyle: Well, San Francisco has so many gays and Chinese because of that reason, they founded that city
Young Randy Quaid(helpfully interrupting): And the gold miners

What annoys me further is that I face 5 hours of this next Thursday. At least. And with more people.

I say it all the time...give me the Cablevision of Monday, November 28, 1983-the day it arrived in Coyle's neighborhood, over the garbage of today. More choices=more shit. I liked it when Headline News had headline news, The Weather Channel had weather, Music Television had music..."Night Flight" on USA Network, etc. Shutting the TV off as my brother tried to watch Fraggle Rock.
