Certainly dont agree that the population should shrink for our consumption. Eviromental problems beyond our control unfortunaltly. Eco frieindly products dont exist. They claim as much on the labels but mostly dont. I buy some good unadulterated meat from a local store started in the depression when i can. Good stuff but society is gonna drive him down. Tell me. Exactly who would u cut from society?  That whole idea kinda sounds God like to me. I wouldnt want that responabilty nor the repercussions . Interesting but...... big damn but. so uhh who exactly would you knock off man? Ugly thought in my opinion but i havent slept in a while. God bless ya get down with your bad self.

I personally subscribe to the Georgia Guidstones.

I am addressing, here, an objection to BIASED information - things that are not true.

The scientific consensus is that the Earth's climate system is unequivocally warming, and that it is extremely likely (at least 95% probability) that humans are causing most of it through activities that increase concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, such as deforestation and burning fossil fuels.

The above is from Wikipedia.  So actually, the climate change deniers are those who are trying to propagandize the issue.

We certainly all agree that pollution is not good for humanity or the planet.  We DO know the population is growing and the American middle class polluting lifestyle is the aspiration of most.

Not all information is spin.

Excuse me..... China is responsible for the vast majority of the pollution in the world. Stop your blind hatred of the American middle class, no basis in fact.

Noory has nothing to do with this topic, nor does does your reply refute the premise. Art + Guest > Open Lines.

<rant> Really I do. It's laziness. Much better to have guests and topics than to hear, "Hi Art, how are you doing? Love the show. Long time listener, first time caller" fifty times in a night. No caller will be as interesting as a guest and thoughtful interview with a focused theme. </rant>

You are a moron

Was a great show :)

I agree 100%

One request, play the intro and a little more of the MITD song at the end. These get clipped severly on the podcast.

Onan, thanks for posting in such an eloquent, succinct, diplomatic manner.

I rolled my eyes at such ignorance. Having a far less noble thought, as I scrolled to the next post.

Blessed be that you took the time attempting enlightenment, with such a gentle demeanor.

There was nothing ignorant about the gentleman's comment.

OK, over stated my position, I am in agreement with you.  There IS merit and it is not on a par with quack ideas.  But it IS fundamentally still a belief, and may change over time with new information or ideas.
I think you are right. I have been a practicing scientist for 35 years and have seen one fad after another come and go. During the height of a particual fad, most people are on board with it, then something else newer  comes along... repeat...repeat...repeat. Some things stick, but not necessarily from real understanding, more from a standpoint of "it works, so keep on using it". From my perspective there is very little real understanding. THere is, however , a lot of technology.

Oh and just a gentle reminder, advertising other shows in the forum is verboten. Dem's da rules.

say what? What rules? Anyway, Howard promotes Art for god's sake.

We Bellgabbers in Bella-Haven share your sentiments 100%. We tried to be funny and laugh about a lot of this out of respect, but really. If this world-view were correct, all the world's problems would have been solved right now because of our awesome arsenal of fine weaponry.

I'm torn between wanting to forget this guest forever and hoping Art never abandons this important topic. We need a more nuanced discussion.

Really dont understand the negative reaction to this guest. Perhaps it is a case of the far left hearing something closer to reality than what you get on the evening news and having a negative reaction to it. Seems that some people just dont or cant entertain ideas outside of their closed view of the what is going on in the world. Instead, it would appear than many want to equivocate the actions of radicals with things the US has done in the past. At least you can live in your cocoons and ignore, for now anyway.

I agree, the guest seemed to answer questions as a function of his personal experience.  I found it refreshing to hear a guest decline to respond to questions in areas he admittedly had no expertise or experience.  He did offer opinions, some political in nature, but primarily in response to direct questions from Art.

I was restarting TuneIn at the point it was revealed the guest was considering a run for Congress.  How did that become part of the interview?  Did he volunteer the information unasked or did Art ask him about it first?  I did notice an uptick in rhetoric after his run for office was in play, but if Art brought it up, I think the guest probably felt it was OK to stump a bit.  Either way, Art would have put a stop to it if he believed it to have been outside the scope of the guest's appearance.  Art's not shy, he will not just stammer "very true" or "that's a good point" when a guest starts losing focus.

Art asked him, but I think it was already set up in advance of the interview.

You didn't ask me for a list of any kind...you did suggest real estate in Baghdad though. Such a thoughtful and intelligent response to my original post. I am overwhelmed.  ::)  Which pile of rubble do you suggest I choose? Do you have brochures?

I had said all I had to say on last nights program until your response. Don't expect to sling first without getting slung.

You have your opinion, I have mine and other have theirs. Let's just leave it at that. None of us will ever know the truth about this and so many other things. Isn't that what this is all about?...the search for the truth?

"Pure BS/Propaganda from beginning to end is right." Your words...

Which part was BS, which part was propaganda? If you don't want to answer, its fine.

LOL...that's your best counterpoint to what that caller was asking Faddis and his response? Seriously??  ::)

There must be great sale on koolaid in your neighborhood somewhere.

I am still waiting on the list of inaccuracies, apparently you don't have any, just want to sling ill defined muck.

If you listened to the show you would have heard Art ask the guest about his Senate run. Faddis immediately went in to campaign mode, criticizing the current administration's foreign policy and telling us how he would handle it differently...essentially, "Vote for me." BTW, I'm not interested in defending or criticizing the current administration. Regardless of which party is in the White House, I think the is little hope for any resolution with such a profoundly divided two-party system.

I heard that, and it wasn't very political in my mind. I hope that Trump and Bernie run as 3rd and 4th party candidates and make this next election really, really interesting. Having said all that I have about politics, I agree, I would rather hear Art interview a muzzled Graham Hancock than listening to current events. It is depressing.

Last night's guest revealed little to nothing about his role in the CIA.  I wonder if Art knew of his political aspirations prior to him being booked for the show.  His appearance reminds me why I don't care to hear politics discussed on Art's show.  Even with Art's talent for trying to maintain a middle ground, it's too easy to fall into fear-based personal opinion among listeners and create divisiveness, just as it did here in this thread.  As if right on cue folks began to take their respective sides:  Left/Right, Libtard/GOP Wingnut , etc.  Other Bellgabers are right--we can hear endless loops of this crap on a number of other shows.

Far more interesting to me, and more appropriate for a host like Art, would be to talk about our continued dependence on oil, and how it continues to dominate U.S. relationships and policy not only in the Middle East, but throughout the world.

What's the latest on energy and fuel alternatives??

Where do you hear politics?? I dont get it. Seriously. Sounded pretty factual to me, and a refreshing departure from misinformation from standard media sources. Tell me where the politics are, honestly.

Agreed. I believe that this guy is part of an intelligence propaganda arm, as well. I shut the program off after about 15 minutes into this interview. I'm looking forward to LMH tonight

So, all you know it all's should pony up specifically what Faddis said that was somehow wrong or outright lies. Specifics, please.

More than well said. My sentiments exactly.

I turned the show off in the third hour after a caller Andrew asked about the link to invading Iraq and Libya due to Sadam and Gadaffi moving away from US currency for the petroleum trade to the euro and dinar gold based currency. Faddis said he he knew of no indications that this played any role in the toppling of these regimes. Really?!?!? Pure BS/Propaganda from beginning to end is right.

I turned my stream off right after that call.

I love Art and am so happy to have him back, however this show was beyond disappointing. This topic and guest was not a great way to kick off debut week of MITD IMO.

I'm sure both of you could find a deal on a house in the suburbs of Baghdad.

Noice.

SETI has pretty much been nothing but a big waste of time and money so far. That being said, hopefully this leads to something worthwhile

I still subscribe to Sagan's theory in which he stated the universe is so large it's highly unlikely any two intelligent civilizations come in contact with each other.

Equipment suppliers and professors will benefit. Otherwise, I think it is colossal waste of time
