Is this a trend?

We'll always figure out a way to share. Build a better lock and we'll build a better lock-pick.

Bands make most of their money touring and selling t-shirts.

Being the most downloaded show or movie is better than any award.

I know several authors who hated piracy when the were startin. Then they realized the more popular they were on the torrents, the more money they made.

Art Bell taught me how to be a pirate. Somebody asked him how to find an old show. He didn't spell it out. He just said, put the keywords into a search engine and poke around.

Considering the willingness of individuals, and companies, to "share" and "cloud" everything and the ability, apparently now legal, for even our government to monitor everything we do online, over telephone, etc it is no surprise that this happens. You think SONY leaks about salaries or health conditions (or off-color jokes, no pun, about this character Obama) or some unflattering nudie pics of Hollywood starlets are bad? Or some bad movies? Now think you are a new Congressman, or even an old Senator, and are approached with same (or worse) leaks and a multi-trillion dollar spending bill needs to be passed? Or you are a dissident and, suddenly, your records from your Obamacare healthcare database gets leaked (what you were treated for post-partum depression once? You tried cocaine in college? You had VD back in the war? You smoked? That abortion? etc)  Or you voted or gave money the "wrong way" in that last election and your bank account is frozen and you are audited? Or you piss off some bureaucrat or police man because she went out with you and, suddenly, some illegal porn was found to "cross your IP address"? Or your company wants to downsize or insurance company wants to deny that claim- hey- those health records show you told your doctor in what used to be private communications that you once tried a cigarette! Or you once received an email similar to a SONY-type email. You are a racist and abused "company policy for email." Or, to show you I'm not just against this character Obama, you are a newly elected President for "change" and confronted with some interesting bath-house recordings (or just shown a Zapruder film if the rumors aren't true?)

I'm looking, I don't see the news about it?

Only thing I can find is this, which, is interesting in its own right, even if the woman doing the voiceover doesn't really know what she's talking about  ("watch these lights go off in less than a second!")

It's a real problem, but the government could immediately mandate that all these systems go off the internet onto a new network built just for infrastructure that the government controls.

Hack the plant, especially corporations. Have all their dirty deeds be shown to the world. Also every secret file that any government has. I am talking everything from launch codes to what someone had for lunch. Every time a hacker release some governments national secret they should get a medal. Hack it all till there's nothing left!!1

They should hack my private messages on here. Boy that would keep this place busy for months!
