Senda. Okay...Whatever you're eating stop. Whatever you're about to drink, stop...Okay?

Senda partially defrosted a chicken (might have been two) partially cooked them, ate them both (He was dieting so didn't have a third) and then his entire digestive tract evacuated...and he blamed the store he bought the chicken from.

To be fair, he thought Ratty Patty had his German cookbook at the time

Yes, the Muslim threat is infinitesimal.  It's the death cult of peace after all.

As far as drunken white yobs looking for trouble, it's amazing how much more careful and respectful they are when they don't know who among them can defend themselves with deadly force.  Pulling a gun out is mostly not necessary, it's the idea that it's a possibility.  I doubt this will compute for you, but ask any criminal.

Most shootings do NOT occur where gun laws are most draconian. I know because I live somewhere where you can't own a gun. If you want to make an argument, fine, but don't make shit up...

Guns are different. There isn't a clear opportunity cost that you're sacrificing....

Well, it IS the case in the US.  Gun crime is overwhelmingly in our big, ''progressive'' led, cities.

Guns deter crime all the time.  I'm not going to bother looking up the stats, because you don't give a hoot, and if it's not from CNN you aren't going to accept it anyway.  Crime deterred is your opportunity cost.

Yes, it does.  But unfettered immigration doesn't.  Blocks of different people who don't share common values doesn't.  Throwing open the gates and allowing in cartel members, gang members, and random criminals doesn't.

Otherwise how do you explain places like the Balkans, and other areas where people have been fighting for centuries?  Why would you want, say, Moslems - who can't get along with their neighbors ANYWHERE - who routinely kill each other for belonging to the wrong sect or tribe, let alone the wrong religion?  What's so damn important about allowing them to flood in, for example, when they are so non productive and destructive?

Oh please.  Borders of the world have always been in flux.

Mexico took it from Spain.  Who took it from the Native American Indians.  Who took it from other Native American Indians.  Who took it from other Native American Indians.  And so on...

To expand a little:  we don't know much about the Anasazi, where they came from, where they went, or who lived in the area before them.  They were followed by the Pueblo Indians.  The Navaho, Hopi, etc came later, and the Comanche, Apache, etc, came around the same time as the Spanish.  And it's the same story for other areas in the region.

So who's land is it?

Again, you are an inconsistent cunt. With the greatest of respect.

Don't lecture me about not knowing your country and then make assumptions about mine based what you read in the press. Immigration works pretty well, by and large. I'm much more concerned about getting attacked by a drunken white yob on a Friday night than any Muslim threat, which is infinitesimal. Immigration has never been popular with the uneducated. Ever. The racist twat  who jeers at a Muzzle immigrant gets treated by his daughter in hospital two decades later. People benefit from immigration all the time, even if they don't acknowledge it.

I read very little major media, but by all means drop in the word 'fake' all the time to show what an independent thinker you are. It's not as if that's exactly what Trump wants you to do. Unfortunately it's all too easy to generalise about Trump supporters. It doesn't sound like you've been to a rally either by the way, so whatever you say is as speculative as my observations. Then you scold me for tarring you all with the same brush before proving I was quite accurate, at least in your case.

And don't talk to me about being a low-info drone when you're the guy who thinks misspelling someone's name is witty. Berock Obama. Moller. Oh. SICK BURN!!

Where's that ''triggered'' gif?

Yeah, all that is bollocks to the nth power. You support a president who is now on record praising the leader of the country with the worst human rights record in the world as just a tough guy who loves his people. Russia is doing its best to destabilise E Europe but Trump wants to forget all that and start lobbing gifts their way. You're such an ideologue you can't even follow your own script.

You couldn't give a toss about any of that. But see a little country you can kick around using a system you don't like and you jump in with hobnailed boots.

Another Lib unable to stick with the issue.  How we deal with Russia really doesn't have much to do with how we deal with Cuba.  I explain why we try to isolate Cuba, point out why your infatuation for Marxism is naïve (at best), and you want to blather about Putin.

Again, we deal with various lousy regimes on a case-by-case basis, which is decided by what's in the best interests of this country.  Why you and Pud aren't able to grasp that, even after repeated explanations is a bit puzzling.  Oh well, your problem

Let us be more up to date shall we? Yes lets.

And let us be more relevant to what is happening these days, today. You have a POTUS who openly prefers the company of despots and despises democratically elected leaders. That is his prerogative.

Let us start with Putin: He has political opponents, journalists and anyone else who might be a reason for his removal murdered. He makes no secret of it..He even had the anti aircraft missile supplied to Ukraine that brought down a civilian airliner killing everyone on board..The Russian backed Ukraine military refused air accident investigators and mortuary staff near the site, the bodies literally rotted in the sun.

Putin has and continues to implement cyber war on the west and particularly the USA, and will continue to do so, because Trump has no reason to try and order the US agencies to try and stop it. There's more, but those are the highlights.

Kim jong Un: A vicious cruel and disgusting fat pile of filth that should be wiped off the planet. Instead he does the same to 'his' people (Who Trump said he loves so much). They starve, they get put in labour camps, and the opposition get killed, as do their families.

Rodrigo Duterte: President of the Philippines. Has drug users legally murdered in the street. Has journalists imprisoned for writing what he doesn't like, and has adopted the Trump mantra 'fake news' for same.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: Recently made president for life. Has had 1000s imprisoned for their political insurrection.

And you bring up Castro in the 1950's and Migs?  ::)

Typical Lib, can't you ever simply stick with an issue.  What does any of this have to do with the horrible abusive Cuban regime?

How we deal with other countries is on a case by case basis - based on the interests of our country.  Why is that beyond your ability to understand?  Why do you insist on ''fairness'' and equal treatment for the world's worst regimes?

What does one have to do with the other?  Because we already have gang members and others killing people, we shouldn't stop other gang members from Latin America coming here?

Go to a Trump rally and ask them whether they like immigration, they will not make a distinction.

Also, listen to people like you splitting their Y fronts at MS-13 when the murders they commit are insignificant compared to the deaths caused by American citizens with legally bought firearms...

Well, first off, your posts show you don't know the first thing about this country, Trump, or Trump supporters.  All you know is the fake news media caricature.  You should know better than to let someone's enemy describe them for you.

If you were to go to a Trump rally, you'd find a lot more diversity of opinion on any number of issues, including immigration, than you would at a D-Rat convention - which is comprised of a bunch of low information zombies who sound a lot like you and Pud.

Beyond that, I think it's a valid position to support a halt to nearly all immigration, until we absorb what we have.  Over the past 50 years we have taken in an enormous number of immigrants and not all have succeeded in assimilating well.  You know, like your Moslems.

BREAKING NEWS
The Trump administration will place tariffs on $50 billion in Chinese goods, threatening to turn a spat with Beijing into a full-blown trade war
Friday, June 15, 2018 8:22 AM EST

The Trump administration said that it would move ahead with imposing a 25 percent tariff on $50 billion of Chinese products that are imported into the United States, threatening to escalate what had primarily been a war of words between the world’s two largest economies into a full-blown trade war.

They've been stealing us blind for 20 plus years.  One way trade.  Shutting us out of protected industries.  Theft of and failure to protect intellectual property.  Industrial espionage.  Theft of military secrets.  Threatening us.  Annexing international waters, annexing international airspace.  Annexing disputed islands.  Human rights abuses.  Using North Korea and their nuclear weapons program as leverage and to distract us.

This is to get their attention.  I'm not sure placing unilateral tariffs on our allies is the best way to get things done, but getting China's attention is long overdue.

The land was stolen from Mexico. Honest Americans readily admit that. Howard Zinn documents the lurid details in A People's History of the US. Have you ever read a book? amerikkkans are the illegal aliens.

Oh please.  Borders of the world have always been in flux.

Mexico took it from Spain.  Who took it from the Native American Indians.  Who took it from other Native American Indians.  Who took it from other Native American Indians.  And so on.

Mexico declared independence from Spain in 1810, wrote a constitution in 1824, and was finally recognized in 1836.  Texas declared independence, then joined the US - Texas and Mexico both claimed the mostly Indian territory that eventually became part of the US by treaty in 1848.  So Mexico claimed that land for what, all of 25 years - a claim which ended 170 years ago.

Meanwhile the Mexican government was fighting various Native American uprisings (they still are today), were occupied for a time by France, and so on.

So let's not get weepy, and distort history because you hate this country.

Oh of course.  Who could have predicted the old tune of ''we didn't do it right this time, but we'll keep trying.  Despite 100 years of complete abject failure across the board, we know Marxism works''.

You want to know what does work?  Property rights.  Free exchange.  Self rule.  Personal responsibility.  Limited government.  Low taxes.  Rule of law.  Opportunity.  That's what works, not taking us back to a top-down system where the regime owns everything, no one has a say in their own life, and everyone better do what they're told.  You're the ones who want to turn the clock back centuries.

Why would anybody want to live in Cuba when you have a blockade to 'prove' communism doesn't work? You have to do this, just as you have to smear Europe. You don't want people to realise that socialist policies work, more or less, so you con the ignorant into believing otherwise...

But the US isn't blockading Cuba, are they.  And we aren't denying them food and medicine either, are we.

However, Cuba undermining and destabilizing the other countries in the region, aligning with the Soviet Union (back when the Ds loved the Russians), and their dismal record regarding human rights was no reason to isolate and refuse normal trade relations with them.  Which is our right

What about the other 200 countries?  Weren't you and Pud just yesterday telling us we would soon be isolated and doomed since everyone else hated Trump?  Not only was that ok, but if they are so necessary and brimming with trade goods everyone needs, why can't Cuba get everything they need from them?

US policy - due to their rights abuses and material support for armed insurrections in various countries in our hemisphere - is to isolate Cuba and try to bring regime change.  For us and for their people.  The price for the regime to be readmitted into the family of nations as far as we're concerned is for them to move away from being an island prison, and to stop trying to destabilize our neighbors.  that is until Dirtbag Obama decided he knew better, and illegally went around Congress to prop up their regime - with Trump we're getting back onto the track of pressuring them.

If you don't like our policy vis a vis Cuba, too bad.  You're the one on the side of war, destabilization, and human rights abuses

Thing I don't "get" is why people come here if they hate it?...

They aren't like that until they arrive and the America-haters get to them.  Telling them not to assimilate, telling them they've arrived in a terrible racist country, encouraging them to be ''offended'' when it comes to our customs and culture, etc.

The possible exception is Mexico.  Their government tells them our southern states were stolen from them, and they know before arriving they're not supposed to assimilate, fit in, etc, which is then enforced by racist groups like La Raza (The Race), Democrat politicians, and Spanish TV and radio.

I agree with the concept but have some concerns about 6 liberal senators. Not sure how the demographics are laid out. How many representatives would they end up with?  California as a whole is limited now. Do the total number of representatives go up as well?

Quote from: 21st Century Man on June 14, 2018, 08:40:34 PM
I don't like the proposed geographical boundaries of the split.  LA and some of the coastal counties as one is a good idea but really need San Franfreako included in that particular state.  I know the Jeffersonian conservatives in Northern California don't want to be stuck with those freaks.  I wouldn't vote yes on this particular initiative.

It looks like they tried to reshape Cali into 3 states with fairly even populations.  Last time around it was 6 proposed states.

The problem is the state is too big to be governed like a one party banana republic, but they've managed to import enough foreigners to permanently skew the vote.  Poor illegal immigrants living on handouts are always going to vote D.  People from places like China, Viet Nam, India, etc have no concept of a government system that places personal responsibility on it's citizens and encourages opportunity instead of deciding outcomes - so they vote what they know.

New states would of course each have two US Senators.  If gerrymandered and done wrong, that would skew the US Senate and put it on a more Socialist path.

The only thing I would vote for is for one new state to be comprised of the northern counties - and NOT include the Bay Area or Sacramento.  A second state would be the southern counties, not including LA.  The third new state would be the coast from the Bay Area to LA, and would include the corridor from the Bay Area to Sacramento.

The Libs can have the capital, wine country, SF, Oakland, Berkeley, Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, LA, Disneyland, Hollywood and the beautiful coast down to just below LA.  The other states would be the nearly unpopulated northern part of the state (above SF and Sacto), the Central Valley farming areas, the Sierra Nevada range (including Tahoe, Yosemite, etc), and San Diego.  Don't worry, we'd probably sell you food and water.  Deal?
