Do I detect some cocoa powder in that rub?

No.  Just cumin, coriander, fennel, chili powder, cayenne and onion powder.

Metron2267

Nice mix, loving the fennel!

In Missouri, just east of Kansas City, I ordered a 32oz. steak for just a little over twenty bucks...
I didn't cook it myself so I don't know if this pic goes here...

Looks more like a lump of coal.

Look at it close-up = that's one massive juicy slab of cow!

Fries AND garlic bread?

I'd have to walk that off...urp... :P

I asked for medium/blackened but the cook was concerned because it was over 1.5 inches thick. I told him to do the best that he could and I was pleasantly surprised with the result.
Best steak I'd had in quite some time!

Metron2267

No doubt, I could see the juice glistening! :)

The butt is done.  Now it needs to be wrapped and rest.  It tastes pretty good.

Metron2267

OK now that has some real charred bark to it! ;)

How long, in what, and at what temp please?

8 1/2 lobsters is my record pig out. I weighed 180 at the time.  The last 4, the restaurant made me eat the ear of corn that was served with it before they would bring another. I was going to stop at 8 but the person I was with gave out at 9 1/2. I didn’t want to waste it.

The irony is this was a work party after completing a major proposal. The guy that ate 9 1/2 wasn’t going to show ip because he took his wife out for dinner. After they finished dinner they stopped to join us hoping to get free dessert and a nightcap.  He proceeded to order the all you could eat lobster when I was on my fourth one.  She had cheesecake.  He probably weighed 210.  I was impressed with his scarfing ability.

Hahaha - three meals to finnish!
There is a truck stop in Morris, IL. that has the Ethyl Burger. If you can eat it in an hour, it's free.
That salad in the back? All of that has to be on the burger! lol

Hell no! lol
However, they have a wall full of the winners pictures. The funny thing about it? That was some of the best bread. You'd think with it being a novelty and all, some parts might suffer... Not the case at all.

Can you do 2 minute audio hits for KONR?
I think recording you eating at truck stops and diners has the potential to be bigger than radio unboxings!

Sweet, no chance of hitting "the stall" with that long a cook and I like the higher temp finish. :)
