The ''educational'' system, Fake Media, academia, Hollywood, and lazy parents from ''the greatest generation'' have really done a number on people.

People deserve what we are going to get in this country.  The problem is, the rest of us don't.

Pol Pot marched everyone out of the cities - every single person - to go work in the rice paddies.  Anyone with an education, who spoke English, wore glasses, owned a book, had a job other than a laborer, resisted in any way, etc, etc, was simply shot.

Take a look at the Occupy/BLM rioters.  Completely full of hate and anger.  They would be different if given a chance?

I wish I had a nickel for every time someone told me that they wished Pol Pot was running the country. I'd much prefer someone like Idi Amin, because that man had charisma and more panache in his pinkie toe than Pol Pot did in his whole scrawny body. To be honest, for a genocidal maniac, he looked like he was kind of a drip.

Almost all best parts of The Men Who Stare at Goats were in the thirty second trailer shown on TV. I did have fun wondering what happened to the guys who took in helicopter while tripping their brains out, though.  :D

You are right, RGG. I don't support that sort of behaviour from either side. I should have made that clear. Now it is on record.  ;)

Good catch, RGG.

Cheers, sweetie darling

The bubbly's on me next time. Cheers!

The only way we can make America great again is by defending it against poo-poking, yoghurt-knitting Commie bastards like you. You just don't get it, but you certainly will when you step into that communal shower in the FEMA camp. Especially if you drop the soap.

Simmer down, Mary. You always get so cross when you haven't had a kid to diddle for a couple of days.

Hi Kid! I understand how you feel and agree that it is long past time to hold them accountable and raise standards. We need affirmative action for conservatives and centrists in academia, entertainment, and other social/political organizations. We need to vote more of them out of office, too.

I feel that confronting them on this forum is a waste of time. They have their minds made up and have no intention of listening. We have all laughed at George when he talked about "psychic vampires", but in this case, I would agree with him. They post and argue to bring the energy down and it drives people away.

It is up to the individual, if you feel better taking them on, then you should continue. I have made few attempts because I have little hope of anything more than talking points and repetitive arguments.

We know the left wants to 'burn it all down'; what I would like to know is what they want to put in 'its' place.

Cheers, sweetie

You know how I feel about Trump and why, sweetie darling, and I have no use for people on either side of the issue who fling personal insults at anyone who disagrees. I'm not here to defend anyone, but it's obvious that the majority of the misogynist, racist, and homophobic personal slurs are used by DT's supporters here. You should be condemning that, too. Cheers!

"Fox and Friends" is as good a place as any for DT to get info about former Guantanamo detainees, and it's probably more fun than learning stuff by sitting through boring intelligence briefings.

In an industry full of asshats, these two are right near the top of the heap. They couldn't stick their noses far enough mup DT's rear when they were wallowing in the ratings his appearances got them, and now they're acting like they're in self-righteous shock over anything he does now. It's mystifying that anyone takes them seriously.

There is a precident. The extremists who committed treason against England and then declared themselves patriots.  ???

When you are going to accept full responsibility for the rampant pedophilia in the UK? You had a responsibility to throttle Jimmy Savile at birth and your failure to do so makes you no better than him. Shame on you.

After listening to him some more, now I'm thinking he sounds more like the result of a horrific in vitro combination of Harvey Fierstein and Rudy Giuliani.

Dr. Bruce sounds like the offspring of an in vitro experiment involving the DNA of Harvey Fierstein and Gloria Borger gone horribly wrong.

This one's cheery disposition and seeming unperturbability makes me think she is a troll.  It's that or she is just is profoundly obtuse.

Do you really need it spelled out for you? She's an agent of George Soros, and his third favorite concubine.

It could also be a "canned" interview where a movie personality answers four or five questions on tape and then the tape is distributed to X number of radio stations.  Then the radio host "asks" the appropriate questions, which are then "answered" by playing back the pre-recorded tape.  They used to do this all the time back in the eighties and ninety's.

I remember George doing commercials like that for some kind of sketchy "luxury" resort time shares in Hawaii with Tanya Roberts and maybe Roseanne on C2C ten or fifteen years ago. I didn't know about the practice at the time, but they were edited so poorly it wasn't difficult to figure out what they were doing.

Every time I look in here you're going on about pedophiles. Now you're mentioning another poster's kid? You're a real lowlife piece of shit.

I find the allegations troubling, and if he has nothing to hide he needs to answer them immediately and with complete honesty, because they're obviously not going away any time soon.

During his infamous 2006 drunk driving arrest rant, Mel Gibson asked the female cop on the scene:  ''what are you looking at, sugar tits?''

Which is one of the better lines to come out of Hollywood in recent years

Pence list to do:

1. Translate what Donald meant from what he said/tweeted
2. Appear before Senate and House Intelligence committees
3. See #1.
4. Measure for new drapes in my new Oval Office
5. Launch another investigation on Donald's latest delusion
6. See # 1. and #3

I keep waiting for some fake news person to ask him about that. Somebody needs to light a fire under him so he quits lollygagging and gets started before the trail gets cold.

One or some billions of illegal votes?  What difference, toady/today does it matter?

Mike Pence will be launching the investigation promised a month ago any day now, to great fanfare and rejoicing.

This isn't exactly in keeping with the theme of the thread, but at times it's hard to tell who's playing what and it is damned impressive.

I saw Bill Kirchen do this in a stinky little bar on a weeknight for an audience of maybe forty including the bar staff a year before he released this, and there wasn't a jaw that didn't hit the floor. Not only is he the envy of just about every prominent guitarist you can name, he's a gracious, consummate professional. The night I saw him, he gave it up like he was playing for a crowd of forty thousand.

I have to believe that the three surviving members of the Peter Grant Fan Club are responsible for most of the 141 thumbs down that Stairway/Gilligan video received.

Parody is definitely the key.

As far as complete mimicry in a touring tribute show, I can think of one exception.  If you had several old and young black men who looked very much like various dead blues musicians and could perform exceptionally well... to the point that you felt like you were seeing ghosts.  And they would stay in character at all times, even if interviewed, like Spinal Tap.  And the show would really play up the supernatural aspect of the idea.

That I would watch/attend.

But to get the full effect, the show would have to follow the Chitlin' Circuit and make at least one stop at the inevitable crossroads to make a deal with "my Sweet Satan."

I hate the Beatles tribute shows and Pink Floyd tribute shows.

There's always that guy shaking his head sideways to look like an early McCartney and it makes me want to commit a felony.  Or that guy over-emoting while performing Comfortably Numb.

I misread something once and inadvertently watched the beginning of "Pink Floyd Australia" or whatever it was called, believing it was going to be Pink Floyd.  Jesus Microdot Christ.

I'm not saying they don't perform the songs correctly.  It's just... get the fuck over it.  There's a point where too much mimicry defeats the purpose of music as entertainment... if that makes any sense.

That reminds me of a thread I need to start.

I don't get the appeal of tribute bands either, but there's a lot to be said for a kick ass Beatles parody band. Cheers, Batgod!
