We're almost there. Did you see that Microsoft and Mastercard are opening up their data for the government to use as necessary? Bye bye Fourth Amendment! Bush jr. helped that out quite nicely with the Patriot Act.
I do agree that unfortunately many an R in the past decades have wittingly or unwittingly done the work of the Ds

If other areas of the economy were not growing, what would I be picking up and delivering?
Again, you make no sense.

If the economic health of a nation depended only on goods being picked up and delivered, then our country wouldn't have the greatest wealth disparity in the world. How does your own independent income dictate the nation's success?

I don’t buy into it.  I think they both hate each other primarily because they want power for themselves. Principles are largely a non factor these days.

Pretty sure I didn’t see that checkbox on there. I’m a good guy and all but I’m no saint. Also fairly certain my wife would disagree.

A good guy who trolls women with cancer? I hope your wife would disagree, but who knows? ???

Liars who admitted to lying about cancer, yes. Guilty on that front if that’s the charge.  You know that other account you’re trying to rehab by posting the same nonsense with this one instead.

Easy, if the economy were poor, people would consume less, and less product would be shipped.
The exact opposite is happening:

The trucking industry is undergoing its best period of growth in years and should remain strong for the next 18 months before softening.

The industry is benefitting from low unemployment, booming housing starts and strong online sales growth, according to Bob Costello, the American Trucking Associations’ chief economist.

“Not since we’ve come out of the Great Recession [in 2010] have all of these [economic factors] come together to provide an environment where freight is this solid,” Costello said during a conference call with investors hosted by Stifel Financial Corp. on Tuesday.

https://www.trucks.com/2018/04/04/ata-economist-strong-trucking-outlook/

Now, how can the trucking industry be booming if the economy is poor and people are not buying anything?
Trucks deliver everything that you see on store shelves.
Help me figure this out....

Don't let your myopia blind you to the realities of an economy. Each industry and area may vary, but they all form a collective that effects every aspect of an economy.

Well, I can see that you've learned the word myopia recently, but you still haven't explained how the trucking industry is booming if all the varied producers are faltering. Are you saying that companies are just shipping product back and forth to give the appearance that they are busy? Do you think they do this to cover for Trump? What products aren't selling well, pickles? How much would a poor pickle market affect the market as a whole?

QuoteThe story of how this works begins in 27 industrial warehouses in the Detroit area where a Goldman subsidiary stores customers’ aluminum. Each day, a fleet of trucks shuffles 1,500-pound bars of the metal among the warehouses. Two or three times a day, sometimes more, the drivers make the same circuits. They load in one warehouse. They unload in another. And then they do it again.

Also, thank you President Trump!

Well, if true, this seems to be more of a laundering thing. I don't see this as an economic indicator.

* Also, if this is an aluminum treatment facility, I would expect that it has to be taken to different areas to complete whatever process is being performed.

** Alright, I read the article. Market Manipulation.
This really has nothing to do with using the trucking industry as a guage of the economy.
Whatever trucks are running those loads are an LLC of Goldman Sachs, I assume. Money from both sides.

If the economic health of a nation depended only on goods being picked up and delivered, then our country wouldn't have the greatest wealth disparity in the world. How does your own independent income dictate the nation's success?

Once again you are being deliberately obtuse.  Of course the Nation's  economic health doesn't depend solely on the shipping of goods but the pace and volume of over-the-road transport of goods serves as an accurate guage of the economic climate.

It generally holds true in society that one is rewarded on the basis of his contribution to the economy or his service to the community.  This has been true since the earliest hunter-gatherer societies when the hunter that played the biggest roll in a kill got the choice cuts.   It is a recognized element of social dynamics and it is even observed in the animal kingdom.  Most importantly, it is eminently fair.

People who have gained great wealth by virtue of their talents and abilities in various fields of endeavor have always been the focus of jealousy and resentment on the part of the less gifted in terms of intelligence, physical ability or drive and ambition   It is the dissatisfaction of people with the hand they have been dealt in life that socialist rabble rousers seek to exploit in their efforts to gain power and control.   You are a perfect example of the self pitying mopes who believe that they have less because others have more and are precisely the useful idiots that Stalin talked about.
