I did this one night while camping myself! I did not count the stations, but I was scrolling the dial and one Art Bell station rolled right into the other. It was incredible; he had the whole dial covered. Now, I can only get 1100 am out of Cleveland and that is about it. So I have to imagine the show is dying a slow death. So sad.

I have the feeling art may have had the largest audience of any radio show ever available, How many other shows could say they filled up almost the entire band, everywhere in North america, for 5 hours a night.

Exactly my thought. As well as the fact that when George feels he's suffocating and needs immediate medical attention, the person he turns to for help is...his producer. This man eats convenience store food, lives alone, apparently has no relative, significant other or person with whom he has any emotional connection in his city, so that when he's in a medical emergency he calls a co-worker for help.

Seriously, that's just sad. George is a very lonely and shut-off man; an emotional hermit. 2-to-1 George uses "escort services" instead of actually trying to develop relationships.
