RIP George.

He was excellent with Queen in the Summer of 1992.

Depression casualty.

I'm still tripping over the choir plane crash. It's like Buddy Holly times incalculable in terms of loss of culture. Mind you, I'm not a big fan of choirs, male or otherwise, but art is art.

No cause given. I wonder if it was AIDS-related.

Or drugs.  "Heart failure" is a broad term but usually involves progressive illness that's hard to disguise.  There are people who saw him recently who said he looked fine. Also the "heart failure" cause was given immediately after his death, pre autopsy. "Undisclosed illness" would have sounded more believable.

Let's just all be thankful he didn't pull a David Carradine and move on with our lives. The last thing I want is a "Wham!" retrospective on VH-1.

Oh wait, that's on every Tuesday at 8. Nevermind.

Yeah, looks like drugs were probably the culprit.  Heroin overdose maybe.

Watership Down is a tremendous work.  RIP Mr. Adams and Miss Rubin.

Rough day for Debbie Reynolds, I'm sure.  Prayers for her and all of Fisher's family.

2016 has been a rough year in many ways. For several on here too.

Here's the real George Michael story for anyone who's interested.

I still say this was your best role, and about time you promoted it. You hide your talents under a bushel far too much.

apparently..George RR Martin was in charge of 2016...

This just in: Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

RIP Carrie Fisher. She was great in many movies, especially in the classic "The 'burbs." A great, funny movie featuring some great actors that, for some reason, was over-looked by both the Academy then and over-looked now the press when reporting on her death. She was great in her supporting role.

I felt the same about "Under the Rainbow".

Breaking news--Fisher's mom, Debbie Reynolds, has reportedly been rushed to a hospital after suffering a suspected stroke.

Jackstar

Does anyone here think she wasn't deliberately killed?

and apparently Debbie now has passed...

I was worried about that.  Losing a child is devastating.  Well, at least now they are reunited. RIP, Debbie.  You'll be missed.
