Just this morning I was discussing this matter with my coworker -- the
same one who, to this day, asks me the reason behind Art Bell's
enigmatic disappearance a few months ago.  She opined that Curtis is a
bit jealous of Art because Art is heard on more than 400 radio stations;
Curtis is heard only on WABC.

Well gee, no wonder why Art is more successful than Curtis.  Art has
more of a neutral, broadcaster voice.  If Art has a regional dialect, I
would guess it would be Midwestern because he had lived in Illinois,
among many other states.  His words and sentences are clear and easy to
understand.  Curtis, on the other hand, sounds like a crossover between
James Cagney and Leo Gorcey.  By listening to his thick Brooklyn accent,
he sounds like he talks with his mouth full of food.  To many listeners
-- especially the more educated ones listening outside the tri-state
area, his voice is somewhat irritating. 

Also, IMHO, Curtis strongly lacks broadcasting etiquette.  Although Art
has pulled a few stunts that question his own professionalism, Curtis
clearly beats Art in this category.  While surfing the RealAudio
channels, I stumbled across WABC, wherein I heard a promo for Art's
late-night talk show.  Throughout the whole promo, Curtis was heard
yelling, "He's a loony gazoony!" and other epithets against Art.  Since
Curtis has a vendetta against Art, he should express his sentiments
AFTER the promo is being aired.  It would be tantamount to you and me
being heard yelling, "Don't buy that lemon from that huckster!" while
the commercial for a car dealership is being broadcast on radio or TV. 

Furthermore, by referencing the program schedule found in
http://www.wabcradio.com/, you will notice that Curtis is heard five
hours per night; Art is heard only four hours.  Therefore, it doesn't
really matter if Curtis does retain that extra hour he claims Art stole
from him.

Maybe the only professional solution to this perpetual feud is to
schedule Art and Curtis to a mud-wrestling match on "The Jerry Springer
Show."  If Curtis wins, he retains the extra hour.  If he loses, then he
should quit his broadcasting career, don his beret and resume his career
as the leader of the Guardian Angels.

Until you demonstrate some acumen and compassion regarding any of the above your long essays here on all things Art  will remain little more than soap box fever rants from a massively controlling fan.
