Radio and Podcasts / Re: Art Bell or Nothing
April 18, 2008, 03:46:01 PM
I think I heard one with Roseanne Barr last night.  Is it where George appears to have a conversation with the celebrity? I thought it was a guest spot at first and was like "wow, Georgie's really hobnobbing with stars now".
#1382
I remember hearing this show. There was a guest on breifly prior to Sir Charles, and when he was announced, I thought to myself "Wow, Art's gonna interview the creator of "Peanuts". Cool. I didn't know they had knighted him."
#1383
Well said. The possible major failing, IMO, of the BushII presidency, may not be it's actions as much as the "elaborate" and ongoing deceptions used to carry out the actions, and the resulting damage it has done to a nations trust in it's government, not just for the U.S. but for many nations and govts. globally.

As for the question about Bears and Wolves - Can you get some kind of oil outta Bear and/or Wolf fats? :P

Archive of Old Threads / Re: Intro Theme
April 18, 2008, 02:52:56 PM
The song is awesome, although haven't there been more then one intro song, or more then one version of the same song?  On some older shows the intro sounds a little slower and more subdued, but it could be audio quality and/or my mind playing tricks on me.  Whenever it starts up I always hope Art let's it get into the "chorus"(I don't know if that's what it's called in an instrumental).

You know, I didn't realize that Noory was still doing it. Scary.

As to those who like G2G, that's why I put this topic up - To hear the views of others, and to hear the reasons they liked the show. Hearing a difference of opinion is illuminati-ng in many cases.

Thanks for posting this ABF.

C2C Thursday, April 17

Guests were:

Author John Gray("Men Are From Mars,Women are from Venus.") who provided some information about supplements, aging and Brain Function.

Whitley Strieber and Craig Spector.  Sounded like it may have been interesting( some cattle mutilation talk), but i passed out 20 minutes after they were introduced.

P.S. - THANK YOU "ARTBELLFAN"!

One positive thing to report is that on Tuesday's or Wednesday's show, George announced that Art has been Nominated to the National Radio Hall of Fame for being an industry pioneer, and that C2C will be campaigning heavily for him. Hooray for Art!

I'm thinking of taking on the daunting task of posting entertaining tid-bits *insert punch-line here* and possibly overviews of George's nightly show for you guys to mull over and/or tear apart.  The reason I call it daunting is that I have tried it all this week and have had some trouble keeping my attention focused for a full program *insert punch-line or comment here*. If anyone feels up to adding any info or comments on a particular show please feel free. Not only is this an important intelligence gathering mission*insert punch-line here*, it'll also help "out" all those closet Night Hawk lovers! (Concerning my own feelings on Noory - I'm not here because I hate George, but because I love Art).

The kinds of things I'll be looking for are: Nooryisms, keyword usage i.e. "portals" or "ghosts of interdimensional alien robots/robotic aliens", how Noory deals with and steers a particular guest or listener, and the (possible) entertainment or informative level of a guest/show.

Don't expect total vigilance in my efforts, but I will try to keep it updated regularly.

Since it seems like this section was getting no love whatsoever, I tried to think of something apropos (to) this subject.

Now I had heard plenty of C2C before I can ever remember learning specifically about the "Ghost 2 Ghost" shows. I stopped listening to it regularly sometime around the year 2000. I may have been aware of it before, but must have forgotten about it over the years.(VERY SPECIAL) Thanks to Mr. Vandeven's streaming efforts, I have been able to take an aural stroll through radio's Garden of Eden once again.

And so my focus turns to the caller driven annual Ghost 2 Ghost shows. I've seen some other posts that illustrate some of the better points of the open-line format; The "Unscreened Callers" thread comes to mind.  However, I'll state plainly that I personally abhor most of the caller driven shows, and most specifically, the Ghost 2 Ghost shows.  Once in awhile on a regular show you get a caller that's funny, i.e. J.C, or a caller that is actually as versed in any particular scientific subject as the guest and asks informed questions or adds a noteworthy piece of data that helps illustrate the topic of discussion.  But when it comes to Ghost 2 Ghost, there is just so many times I can hear calls that turn into "My aunt died at 9:30p.m., and right when I took a bong hit at 9:31, on the other side ir the country, I exhaled, and DUDE!, the smoke came out and formed a perfect  picture of my aunt! It was awesome."  Or "I really loved my dog and missed him so much after he died. Well one night, about 5 years after he died, I was really missing him. I was sleeping and I all of a sudden this warm feeling came over me.  I started to wake up and realized I felt a presence in the room with me.  I looked down and there was my schnauzer Mr. Wiggles, or at least his spirit, and he was   :o Romancing :o my leg just like the old days.  I just remember feeling so loved at that moment".  These kind of calls drove/drive me up the wall and make me dread hearing that announcement from Art at the beginning of every show. Now I know that not every show can cater to every type of taste, and this is definitely the case with me and Ghost 2 Ghost. I much preferred the E.V.P. shows as far as paranormal subject matter went.

It'd be nice to hear what others think about Ghost 2 Ghost; Likes, Dislikes, Memorable Moments or Callers, etc.

BTW, I think that if "Slick" (keeping it familiar, but not sure which of the 2 you refer to) finds your link to be worthwhile, he'll put it up.  Remember, never lose faith in your fellow man!

No worries Earl my boy, she's got a very good job, and she's my best friend. Just to prove it I'll go upstairs and watch  :-X PUKE  :-X American Idol with her as she screeches to our cat and dog. *Note - Her job is not related to singing in anyway*

lets go with this

sago mining disaster verus what all of paglini has said...

which is worse...

I know, I know.  Plus, one show where Paglini did some predictions pre-Katrina, she had a boatload of hits.  Anyone running to invest in gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, etc yet?

I actually don't find the Sago mining disaster to be as bad as everything else Browne has been wrong about.  It's the worst in the sense that it was a huge automatically bomb prediction that blew up in her face, but it seems that she's got mansions full of bombs like that, just not one's she's been automatically nailed by or about.

Let me start by saying that I don't fully believe in either version of the 9/11 issue.

As far as these interviews go,  it's Two-Fold scenario.

Points they make about the phone calls are good, but don't really disprove anything, other then the fact that it wasn't the classic Black suit, Black Sunglasses, Ear-piece "company" man doing the hijacking.  They prove the the crashes weren't faked, but what does that really prove.

The point about "How could a government that's so bumbling pull-off such a huge conspiracy" is misleading.   A. When applied to a case like this, people are made to think that the whole scenario would take thousands of people to pull off.  It wouldn't. It probably could be pulled off with anywhere from 50 - 100 people.  Which leads me to point B.
B. Thinking that 50 - 100 people is too many for any project to stay covert is just wrong.  The NSA, CIA, FBI, DEA, ATF, Local Cops have thousands and thousands of people that work undercover and covert to some degree, and even more that aren't undercover.  Yet you don't have agents covers being blown all the time.  Look how big of a deal the Valerie Plame case was.  Would it be such a big deal if things like that happened all the time.  I know the circumstances of her "outing" was what made the case special, but if this kind of thing happened all the time it would have been a lot easier to cover the trail and pull-off then it was.

The whole argument about not reading books was detrimental to both sides in this argument.  The fact that each side wasn't interested in what books the other side chose to present evidence from and rely on showed a level of overall ignorance.

The host's point about some foreign countries and/or factions in those countries not liking the U.S. is a big one.  This is a true fact.  Many Americans(USA'ers for all you in S.America) didn't or don't realize what kind of presence the country may or may not have abroad.  It's one of the downsides of being geographically isolated - Foreign policy and it's effects aren't right in your face for easy analysis. If it was, 9/11 may not have been such a surprise to so many people. It's not the 1940's anymore - French chicks aren't lined up in the streets to greet the boys and the tanks nowadays. Remember how the U.S.A. was born?  Well, the U.S. has now become what Great Britain was at that time.  Nobody said that being on top was supposed to be easy. And the fact is PERCEIVED AS INTRUSIVE foreign policy, whether it is or not, can bring out the worst or best, depending on what side you're on, in other countries. These points heavily raise the chance that 9/11 was a terrorist attack, and not some set-up from the inside.

HOWEVER, one glaring point for the other team is the PINAC report which mentioned the Govt. needing some kind of event like this to further selected foreign policy goals. This in itself points to, not necessarily compliance or involvement, but an allowance for the event to occur. People might say "Well, do you think they'd sacrifice 2,500 - 3,000 lives just for global political leverage?". I say come on people, we're talking about CEO types here.  Anything less then millions in the numbers columns they don't bat eyelashes at.

As far as my two cents go, I trust my local and state government, my wife, and my family(well some of them) and that's fine with me; concerning this issue, I'd don't trust the facts from either side.  Too many unanswered questions, too much commercial profiteering, and too much to gain on a global scale.  One person I do feel for is George Bush.  Like Art, he was never my guy, but he won twice, and now everybody, especially many people that voted for him, loves to bash this guy.

Quote from: Earl on April 16, 2008, 09:58:22 AMAnd for you PhantasticSa, maybe if Alex would hire some Broad with Big Hooters to take over his show and report the TRUTH, maybe then you would tune in and listen more often. She could wear a Bikini on air. Hey, you know you would tune in...Typical of the mindset we battle against... ::)

Earl buddy, I'm happily married, which means I lost my sex drive years ago. Add to that the fact I spent half my life growing up in the West Indies on an island with an American university on it and which focused on tourism, added to the fact that I clubbed and raved my way through the 90's, and you'd realize that girls in bikinis are about as noteworthy to me as wallpaper in a house with no lights, at night, while blindfolded. The main problem with you seems to be that you don't realize that people like me that don't agree with you maybe aren't below you; sometimes we're way above you. And I'm not being self-righteous and/or boastful- A.That Bikini comment was all the proof anyone needed, B. I just wanted to show you how off-the-mark you were.  I don't think Alex Jones is so bad, I just think that in his "QUEST FOR TRUTH", many times (not always)he comes to some nutty, far-out conclusions to tie his theories and evidence together.

Before I go, lemme say, I don't want us to misunderstand each other.  I like you. You seem cool and entertaining.  I see you becoming the resident J.C. here - That kooky, out-there dissenter that let's everyone know their opinions and leaves a smile on everyones face.  And for all your future generosity, let me be the first to say, in advance, "Thanks Earl".

Ed Dames.  What can you say about Ed Dames?

I absolutely love shows with Ed Dames.  I don't know if you guys understand or perceive what you are hearing when Dr. Doom speaks, but I think you guys are all missing something very special indeed.  Do the names J.R.R Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and even J.K. Rowling mean anything to you? If they do, then here's my challenge to you - Add the name of Ed Dames to that list, because he definetly has to be one of the most prominent yet overlooked creators of, and in, the fantasy genre, in modern times.  Have you never sat back and just yearned to hear that he had recently RV'd the Seven Dwarves, only to find out that there were 8, and that Doc was really a ET sent to guide Dwarven evolution. You know you have!

When Ed Dames starts to speak, you know that 99% percent(And that's almost 100% folks!) of what he's gonna say is going to be truly groundbreaking because it never actually happened in reality. His interviews are the zenith for anyone who decides to accept that familiar dare,  "Wanna Take A Ride?". Because it's a ride, like a haunted-house. Full of cheap special effects and smoke & mirrors, and when it's over, it has almost no consequence on your life whatsoever.

Seriously speaking, one of the saddest moments of C2C for me was the show where Art organized it so that Dames would call in and explain what he does to Malachi Martin, who had called remote viewing "TNT for the Soul".  When I heard the crap Ed Dames was describing to Dr. Martin, I was howling , and sad, at the same time.  And I felt a little dirty because Art was indirectly fostering this scenario, and I wished Martin had of went "Gloves Off" mode on Dames and laid a spiritual smackdown.  Now I don't know how great or how phony of a person Malachi Martin is, because I haven't heard that many of his interviews with Art, but I would regard him as a Gold Standard guest, along with Michio Kaku, and those of that ilk.  I don't agree with everything Malachi Martin stands for, but I think he is intelligent, world-wise, and genuine.  Dames on the other hand is what I would call a Lead Standard guest - not in terms of entertainment, but of actual substance.  And to see these guys bantering back and forth and Dames telling Dr. Martin about RV'ing Satan or a dark-side spirit made me feel so....grody.*"Einhorn is Finkle.....Finkle is Einhorn!.....Einhorn is a MAN!?!..."*"Crying Game" start to play**  .........And offering to help RV exorcism cases for Martin, Puh-leeeez bitch! Dr. Martin, wherever you are now, I know one thing, and that is that you are a greater Christian than I my friend. I often wonder if he was really laughing at Dames off-air and just playing it up for Art's and the audiences sake.  The sad thing is, I actually don't mind hearing Dames talk about things that aren't related to RV because he IS a smart and learned yet shyster-esque fellow.

Sorry for the wall everyone. Getting back on track, I do feel that Ingo Swan is a lot more credible example of a RV'er.  I've never heard of Hal Putoff, unless he was the guy who maybe worked with Dames.  I remember there was one show with a guy who was in the Military RV program, and it wasn't Dames, and he sounded alot less full of BS then Dames does.

I don't think I ever bought something directly from or inspired by C2C, but I'm sure I picked up a few books here and there because of guests I heard.  Amarillo Slim's book "Amarillo Slims in a World Full of Fat People", comes to mind, various little (few and far between) "conspiracy theory" related books possibly.  Something I always did want was the C Crane Shortwave radio.  For some reason that thing always tantalized me.  Perhaps spending alot of years growing up in the West Indies and listening to SW radio w/ my Grandfather at nights.  I just so happened that my fast-living clubbing downtown living lifestyle never quite allowed the free dosh for such a purchase at the time.

I'm just reading about Browne on this stopsylviabrowne website, and man, is she brutal or what.  Okay, question to you guys - Sylvia Browne vs. Evelyn Paglini. Who's better, who's worse, who'd win in a psychic death-match and why.
#1400
You don't think it's possible....... no, it can't be...... that Mel fell into the hole?  He moved in with a hot lizard-lady and is raising his daughter Melizard to be Queen of the Lizard People Living in Mel's Hole.
#1401
Yeah, "Admin", I'm saying that the reason I find Noory entertaining is that I can laugh at him as much ,or more, as I laugh with him.  I don't find him to be all the bad, however, that doesn't mean I'm putting him up there with the King of Nye.  I mean, come on, you could make a George Noory/C2C drinking game - Take a shot whenever A. You hear a Nooryism, B. Noory flubs a word, C. George asks a question that belongs on an episode of "Mr. Wizard", D. *Take 4 shots!* - George asks about "Interdimensional Ghosts of Robotic Aliens".

As far as Alex Jones goes, I thought he was okay when I first saw/heard him, but I watched that "Endgame" movie and while the first 2/3rds had me riveted, when he came to his conclusion I was like "Woah"(Just like Joey Lawrence in Blossom!) He's a little kooky for my taste.
#1402
From last night's show, here's two for you guys  -

    1. "That was *insert guests name here* and she's a geophysicillist....."

    2. " Geophysicists have predicted that the chance of a major, severe earthquake hitting the west-coast within the next 30 years is 99%. That's almost 100% folks."

Now while # 2 is a classic in the style of Nooryism and one of the reasons I find him entertaining, I don't like making fun of #1 because it was a speech flub, and I don't know if Noory had to overcome some physical obstacle to get where he is today. However, I thought I should point it out because it is part of the expected phenomena from George, along with the always waiting in the wings question about "interdimensional ghosts of robotic aliens".

Come to think of it, I didn't give theoretical physics much thought before I started listening to C2C. And if I did, I don't think I knew that I was thinking about theoretical physics. Hmm...

I totally feel the same.  I remember the first time I listened to Dr. Kaku on C2C in the late nineties, and I was blown away.  I had been listening to Art/C2C for awhile by that time and loved it, but I think it was that show that cemented my affection for C2C. Most of the "legit" science programs will always be at the top of my list of favourite programs.

As for other guest, J.C. makes me howl everytime - classic stuff. And I love the, ummm, Red Bear(?), the lizard-people guy. As far as Ed Dames goes, I'm not sure about how I feel about him. A good example of Art's skill are any interviews with Paul Moller - the SkyCar guy,  AND Mel.  These were great examples of Art being "intrigued" and "astonished" when the subject matter was probably less then amazing in real-life. He could sometimes make it sound as if he was nine year old boy again reading "Amazing Stories" comics in a tent in his backyard. .

I think they should get Leonard Nimoy. It only makes sense, and since Vincent Price is no longer with us, I can't think of anybody else that might measure up to Art, coolness-wise. I know these are actors, but that's all I can think of.

"Art is the Best", cool choice.  I would love Leonard Nimoy to host C2C; even the voice alone would be worth it.  But how old is he now?  As far as Rollye James, I was actually trying to remember who "that lady" host was.  Was she the only one?  I never really cared for her, even though I agree she was an intelligent lady.  I just couldn't dig the voice and I didn't "feel" her interview style. And how come Mike Seigel(?) wasn't in the poll? Not that I would have voted for him.

:-\ Now I'm worried. I hope I don't get cursed if she reads this!  :-\

Classic example is Dr. Evelyn Paglini's site.  As soon as I started reading this thread, this was the first thing I thought of. www.mysticalblend.com
#1407
One thing I have to say about George in his favour is that, at least on some shows, he doesn't interrupt the guests conversation or talking points when the point is somewhat interesting. Conversely, I've been absolutely pissed at Art sometimes for "re-directing" an interview just to steer it towards time-travel or multiple dimensions.  I know that on some shows the opposite happens, and probably I haven't listened to George enough to judge properly, but this has been my feeling the last little while.

As far as Ian goes, he always bored me to tears when I used to listen to him, but it has been a very, very long time since I have heard him do a show so maybe my opinion may be different now.
#1408
You mean THE David Hatcher Childress?  The "Real Life Indiana Jones"? :P
#1409
One thing that I have to say is that George does make me laugh. It's not that he's funny per se, but I do find some of the Noory-isms quite humourous.

Cheers. It's good to be here. It'll be good place to see what all different people have to say about "The War of Talk vs. Squawk".
