I think someone should start a "Voices of Bellgab " thread.  everyone could leave a message saying "...this is (username) and etc.etc. etc.  fun to hear members voices and/or details about them, even if fictitious.

out of curiosity, checked several chaser sites to see what a ride-along would cost.  I was shocked and amazed at what was charged.  since I live in tornado alley, am thinking about renting out my front yard for camping, etc.  just look up during storm season and you will likely see one pretty close.

just as an aside, we were stationed at incerlik, adana, many years ago.  alerts were common place.  no biggy.  after g.powers left from there before his ill fated flight, Khrushchev aimed his missiles at us.  so a coup is nothing to be upset about.

recent posts from Art's FB page:

Update:
I am feeling a bit better. I am taking some very strong drugs that seem to be clearing my Lungs. Not a fast process but going in the right direction at least.
Art

They punched a hole in my Lung, that was super fun

For the record I am now taking Linezolid 600mg twice a day price: $3000.00 for 20 and Augmentin 875mg twice a day. Really yummy with lots of side effects.

So, I have lost about 20lbs so far, great diet!
I'am thinking of selling the Art Bell sure fire diet to get rid of that stubborn belly fat, just get deathly ill and you will turn up your nose at nearly all food, so no FedEx delivery even needed.

from Art's FB page an hour ago:

Update on me:

I am now home after five days in what must be one of the greatest Hospitals in the World, St Rose. I am not in good shape, so weak I can not dress myself. I want to Publicly thank my Wife Airyn who never left my side and helped every moment day and night and still is. I went through every test known to Man. Had a hole punched in my Lung, MRI, Pet scans, X-Rays, more blood tests then could be counted, was on Morphine the whole time. Had so many IVs running it started to get hard to find a vein. If I make it I will have the best Wife in the World to thank as well as the best Hospital. Can't really type more now but that is the current situation, more later.

This has all been gone into at length. It was that damn auto-correct. It was supposed to read 'pornography'.

Ahh. Pornography.  The infamous hidden thread.  I saw Jaz mention it once or twice.

Ewwww is right.  LOL.  Some lady wrote a short story fantasy on sale at Amazon called Campfire Circle Jerk.  Advertised as a gay story but I think it is more of a female fantasy.

aahh man, I do so love real books.  something about holding them and turning real pages just makes it right to read.  dying breed I guess.

Speaking of receipts, I liked the idea that we'd get a fully itemized receipt of how all of our taxes were spent each year.  So it would show you exactly what dollar amt. your putting towards different programs etc.  Seems only fair, the IRS makes us calculate all this stuff, why can't wet get a receipt back?
my state does this and it is pretty discouraging.

coaster:
No words of condolence  can heal a person grieving the loss of his mother.  "Say not, in grief, that your mother has gone, but always remain thankful that she was yours."  Its tough and really painful.  Please get out of this with the power of her love, she is still there watching you, so, hold on to her memories, because she would not like to see you cry. No one can change what is truly destined, so be strong for your family!

I think sometimes people take a time off and that is good...but hopefully they don't leave forever.

Good question, pye. Do celebrities owe their fans? Nah. Just as fans have no obligation to their celebrities. If they aren't entertained, they're free to go elsewhere.

Art doesn't owe his fans anything (especially when the safety of his family is in the equation). Does he owe those who put in effort to get MITD up and running? Nah. They knew there was the risk that it might never have gotten off the ground, and as it turned out, we had quite a wild ride and got many a week of new shows out of it. Pretty good deal, actually.

Did Heather get the short end of the stick because she had to quit her previous job to become Art's producer? Nah. She knew there were risks and as it turned out, she gets to host the show, wow, talk about your wild ride! I, for one, definitely think she got her money's worth.

Could Art have handled it all better? Sure. 20/20 hindsight and all. Fans could've handled it better too.

so well said, Z.  you are my new  hero!

It feels like you're living the same day over and over again, like in Groundhog Day.  Tsenough to drive a guy batty.  Give me hot days and cold days and bright days peppered with days of torrential downpours.  Changing weather is good for the brain, imo - keeps life nice and dynamic.

local weather report for bellgab says mostly clear with chance of storms, so am hoping  the worst is over for now.  if you are right Chronaut, then my brain should be in excellent condition!  our real weather here changes so often it can make you dizzy.  but oh how I do love our storms!
