I said I would do the Gab Cast and I will, however if it is filled with people attacking my Family or truly foul stuff I won't be there long. I hope this can be done in a adult way and I hope that is not to much to ask. I don't mind hard questions but I do ask that people be civil.

Art

I, one of many, will be in your corner, Mr. Bell.  You will always have a solid supporter here.  To hell with those trolls anyways.  We miss you.

i like the activeness here, 9 replies to a hi posts.

Atleast i can actually register here, unlike some other coast related forums where they arent taking registration anymore.  Like at Nighthawkzone where i cant even tell them how much they and george noory blow, because it wont let me post :).  Atleast I can tell you guys how much they suck 455.

im 18, started listening when i was like 15, so i really never got to experience art bell except for weekends, then they took that little bit away from me and im left with nothing.

Greetings to all the new ones. I too started listening young. Open minds start out seeking those burning questions early on. Welcome to the House that MV and Art built.  There is a lot of passion for Mr. Bell here, but also some pain because so many feel betrayed by him for "serial quitting". While I respect their viewpoints, I personally don't share it, as I understand the reasons and would put family first.

My first early memory of finding C2C/Dreamland was probably the summer of '97, when I discovered that  AM 1500 KSTP from 600 miles away.  I remember the shear joy as I learned about reverse speech, ghosts, UFO & UAP encounters, and remember my first call in, at 13 or 14, to Robert Ghostwolf discussing Native American prophecy. It opened a door to understanding many of the wierd things that go bump in the night.

It was the first of it's kind, the trailblazer in AM talk that is often imitated but never truly duplicated.  Art Bell is Coke Classic of the Paranormal talk radio.

Hey! I liked your call! robert here in the forum took exception to your facts though, but i liked it!
I gave an accounting in the forum earlier today. If anyone has questions, by all means.

The chemicals came in 2 forms, flairs and a mix that was put into these "burners" that were mounted on the tips of the wings that looked like small pontoons.
The chemicals were aerosolized, i.e. ignited.  Mothballs in the closet though stinky, don't pose a threat unless burned.

I don't recall signing a NDA, but I was 16 at the time, so they couldn't hold me to any agreement anyways.

If this show sucks so much, why are you listening and commenting? If you are commenting without listening, why are you even commenting?  There's something out there for everyone, so go forth and find something that agrees with ya.

Nice you really need to call in to share that story!
I might on a Friday.  If I'm going to share it, I want it to reach as many people as possible.  Hopefully spur the debate on Geo-Engineering, in general.

I have no problems with Kieth, though I think he is overly emotional and might need to have his T-levels checked.

He is not I.T., he is a webmaster. Anyone that's ever done both knows that there is actually very little overlap. Just because you can run Adobe Dreamweaver doesn't mean you can solder a new capacitor onto a motherboard or perform a malware cleanup, or fix a Windows update issue.

To speak ill on other shows, or forums that actually contain supporters, is business suicide.  He's a webmaster who thinks he's a business entrepreneur.

I feel bad for Kieth, he has invested a tremendous amount of time and effort into DMDN, so much so that the site suffered (IMHO, never liked the layout).  I'm almost sure he feels some sense of betrayal from Art, and I hope he is able to call Art a friend still.

Calling Bellgab is a cesspool is, at times, accurate, but still bad business.  How many here pay subscriber fees to DMDN?  Even if it's as low as 100, that's $6,000 a year to estrange and alienate.  I suspect it's substantially more.

The "whistleblower line" was good, but I didn't feel like my calling in was the right time for one of my life-stories. I wanted to share my time as a teenage intern in Geo-Engineering.

When I was 16, I worked for a weather modification program in the Midwest, paid for by the State's Groundwater Management District. My job title was assistant Meteorologist.  Primary duties were monitoring a 5cm RADAR on evenings and overnights, and filing flight logs with the FAA.
The one area where that gets juicy is that I remember one conversation with my boss, about the chemicals that we were putting up there.  He told me that the chemical used in the flairs and the burners was silver iodide and Acetone for cloud seeding, but that if we ran low we were to start mixing moth balls into the burn solution.  He told me that this was because they are mostly acetone. Years later I came to some research and discovered that THEY ARE NOT MOSTLY ACETONE, they are naphthalene. Nasty stuff. Here's the MSDS
http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/05/05db89cc-68b2-4fde-b8c6-388c64f59874.pdf

My boss came from the US Airforce, and I remember at the time that I really thought we were doing good work, stimulating rain and dissipating hail in thunderstorms.

It took me 15 years to give a second thought about that summer, and this year I put the mothballs thought to some scrutiny.

I know it was crazy short, even at the half they are a lot shorter.
My only bitch from day 1 with MiTD, was that it was getting consumed with ads, and at the end of the show Art was always left saying, "Where did the night go?"

It was sold out to the ads, dude.

A show can offer better quality and way more content with a few well placed ads, not losing almost an hour of a 3 hour show to ads.

So anyone that wants to complain about too few of ads, seriously do you miss the kars4kids and squattypotty commercials after-all?

Wouldn't do any good. He serial quits email accounts too. Last time I emailed him it was to aol, mindstream, artbell, and knye domains.  probably didn't get to him because he's moved on to hotmail, for another week or two.

Edit: sorry Art, I couldn't resist ribbing you a bit. Oh wait, he quit here too. Nevermind being sorry, if he can't take the heat, well then he can just quit the kitchen until someone builds him a new one to quit later.

Just heard the JBW episode 443, where he rips on Bellgab as being a bunch of trolls, and that he ended up closing his forums and comments for fears that it would turn into a similar cesspool as Bellgab.

Fuck, I can't fault him there! Nothing would turn new users off than to be trolled without provocation.

JBW isn't afraid to broach on the topics that really, really matter.  He's doing God's work, I firmly believe this.

He clashed with Premiere, because he wasn't going to let those hot topics. If anything else that should curry some favor with the BG community.  But trolls will troll anything, there isn't a single thing I would post that I wouldn't expect some troll to dissect.

Do I care? No.  In the parlance of Paladin, "I don't give a DAMN!"

Can't say all of them, offhand, but definitely some. None of our rights are absolute and if enough people are irresponsible enough, often enough, in how they behave and exercise those rights, the reaction can put those rights at risk. With rights come responsibilities.

And yeah, we do have some free speech absolutists on this site who probably wouldn't understand where their philosophy could lead. And then there are a bunch of very bright people. You impress me as one of them.

I pray for the day when humanity evolves to be self-governing.  I follow a very old rule above almost all others, "An it harm none, do what ye will." It stems from the Wiccan Rede.  I don't confine myself to any one religious dogma doctrine. There is still some sage wisdom to be gathered there.  Sage wisdom in the Bible too, but my karma ran over my dogma a long, long time ago.

But I digress... I will take these strange derivations away from the Art Bell thread. It is true that this thread has taken on a life of it's own, and should be aborted, or perhaps locked into read-only mode by MV

Cya all in the MITD with Heather threads, and elsewhere.  Just because 90% of my postings have been in this thread doesn't mean I can't expand/expound beyond my conditioning...

BTW, I'm a guy. But like most in my generation, a generation raised by there mothers, I'm sure that there are plenty of less manly virtues that the preceding generation had.

Oh, and by the way, I'm in a fairly pissy mood so I'll just take advantage of it to make the following point.

To all of you tireless defenders of the First Amendment and the right of free speech, let it be known that the biggest threat to that right continues to be people who abuse it. And if you don't understand how free speech can be abused and why it's a problem, you are part of the problem. And now, I need food. I'm cranky but the point stands.

Yeah, but doesn't that apply to all the ammendments?  The right to bear arms being mangled because a couple of whackos with guns shoot up a few gun free zones?  The freedom of religion being mangled because it's exclusive of Muslim kids during December? The rights protecting against unlawful search and siezure just because of that plume of pot smoke coming out when the cops come a' knocking? And we musn't forget how the 5th ammendment being constantly abused by mimes?

I forgot where I was going with this, but the main point is, fuck mimes...

Kinda fucked up to begrudge Art for taking his daughter out to see what might have been her first snowfall.  I don't care if it's the middle of the night or not. If Asia was really so traumatized then an impromptu midnight snowball fight at the Bell compound might be a good first step in regaining some sense of normalcy.  It's no Disneyland, but that little memory is powerful and I'm sure it won't be forgotten.

I understand Art's frustrations. Everything he does is under the microscope, and he's damned if he does/doesn't.

If news came out that he was shot and killed, people would be trolling about how that's a lie too, that he took all his "fortune", faked his own death, bought a new identity, and is laughing his ass off a dimly lit condo from Manila.

Quote from: Art Bell on December 29, 2015, 03:51:55 PM
I think this turd still does not get it! He has already proven he is a Cyber Stalker. I have come to believe he just might be my Stalker. He wants more investigation and he will get it. Anybody this consumed with trying to hurt me because I left a Radio show is suspect.

Art

Art's 2nd to last post shows a lapse in logic, either by quitting or wrapped within this post.

I thought he quit because the stalker said something to the effect of "quit or you and your whole family are dead." Now he's suspicious of someone being THE stalker because he quit.  So, wtf good did quitting do if Art still feels threatened?

With all this happening on the heels of that pot show, I can't help but wonder if the biggest ill-effect of pot, paranoia, might be playing into it.

Security across 2 households must be an extra pain in the ass, but one can purchase a couple of network-accessible surveilence DVR's with 8 cameras each for less than a grand. Most 720p infrared cameras are good with low light for up to 100ft.

Art may never return to BellGab, but I pose this one question to him, if he does:

What kind of example does caving set for your daughter?

This is where I'm going with this: would Art let Asia drop out of school if she were bullied?  Would he let her quit her friends too because a mutual aquaintance was incredibly mean to her, even though most of those friends stood up to the bully? I don't know if that analogy makes sense, and granted, gunshots in the dark versus a bully at school is NOT apples to apples.  But there is a precident to be set here.

Perhaps it's my youth, and the fact that I have no kids, that has me so pro self-defense. I've had my life threatened before, and it's because of this that I sleep with a loaded .45 colt beside me around the holidays. If one were to wake up one Christmas morning to thier house on fire, and frantically put it out before Fire Department could arrive, only to discover that propellant (likely gasoline) was splashed on the exterior walls, they might just raise their OpSec.

Art and I are way different, if I were in his position I would have got a "can" for my sidearm so I wouldn't disturb the neighbors if I had to take a shot in the dark.  This would have been after upgrading my cameras and motion lights.

Ive been called far worse by far better.

I'll "fuck off" when I please though. Trying to learn about Karma- Do you mind?
Karma, Lesson 1:
Karma is a bitch. Like fate, a cruel mistress.  It is not our place to dispatch punishment, or to act as judge and jury.  The exception to this rule is justice, when someone has personally wronged you.
For how so ever you treat people, you shall be treated.
Karma is akin to Dharma, but dharma is far more complex.  Karma is doing something with the hope that it will be rewarded (or abstaining when it might lead to punishment). Dharma is different.  It's doing the right thing, simply because it's the right thing to do.

I don't expect you to understand such civil conventions.  Go fuck yourself, penguin.

I really enjoyed having you post along-side us all.  I hope the end isn't nye, but after the abuses I wouldn't fault you at all.

At 70, I'm sure you would agree that life is too short to sift through the filth and obsessive bull. Art, you have been magnanimous and patient through all of this, moreso than I could be in your shoes.

I don't want to see you go, but I don't want to see you take the abuse.  No one should.  Freedom of speech is great, but any "freedom" that encroaches on the freedoms or liberties of others is abuse.

So, I'll wish you the best, Art.  I'll be missing you, as will thousands of die-hards like me.

After playing catch-up on the thread, I am appalled at the lengths you have went to to troll Art and brand him a liar. You really want to bring up his son? You sir, deserve to be throttled up against a wall and have your nose broken by a swift and decisive head-butt.

I listened live, that night, when Art came on and told us about his son.  I was crying right with him.  The scumbag got life, but you still want to insist that Art lied?

I just want to understand where at, in your ego, you get off trudging up that very sorrowful time, and it blows my fucking mind that you would stoop to calling him a liar over the trauma that unfolded over his son.  This is What Matt Drudge broke in 1999:

Quote
Bell's son, now 18, told authorities that he was taken May 16, 1997 to
Tecopa Hot Springs, California from Pahrump, Nevada, bound in chains, and
was forced to commit sex acts on one of his substitute teachers, according
to case intelligence.

The teacher, Brian Eugene Lepley, 34, is now serving life in prison for the
attack on Art Bell's son.

Lepley befriended Bell, then 16, and his friends by bringing beer and
marijuana to their parties, and then soliciting sex from them.

Arthur Bell IV told authorities that had he not been intoxicated, he never
would have had sexual contact with Lepley.

Bell explained to the police that Lepley never told him that he was
carrying HIV.

I was talking about the show thread, she read that every night and it was pretty brutal. That's what I meant about one of our own. She has been a member in good standing for a long time and I know that doesn't get you much but maybe a little?

Art

I can't speak for all the trolls and idiots that would speak against her, but she has my unending love and support.  She is an amazing lady making the best of a bad situation.  Granted, she's "no Art Bell", but "There can be only one." (sorry watching Highlander series, ha!)

You chose wisely in Heather, and I'm grateful for her.  When she was just producer, I spoke with her for some time, and I instantly found in her what you must have.

Hope you had a merry Christmas.  Miss your voice, Art!
